your JBL headphones might be experiencing a charging or power issue. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
Check the charging cable: Inspect the charging cable for any signs of damage or wear. If possible, try using a different charging cable that is compatible with your headphones to ensure that the issue is not with the cable itself.
Check the charging port: Examine the charging port on your headphones for any debris or damage. If you see any dirt or debris, carefully clean the port using a dry, soft-bristled brush or a toothpick. Be gentle to avoid causing any damage.
Charge for an extended period: Connect your headphones to a power source and let them charge for a few hours. Sometimes, a completely drained battery might take longer to start charging. Keep an eye on the charging indicator light to see if it shows any signs of charging.
Try a different power source: If your headphones are not charging when connected to a particular power source (e.g., a computer USB port), try charging them using a different source, such as a wall charger or another USB port.
Reset the headphones: In some cases, resetting the headphones can help resolve power-related issues. Consult your headphone's user manual or the manufacturer's website for instructions on how to reset your specific model. Note that the process might vary between different JBL headphone models.
If you've tried these steps and your headphones still won't charge or turn on, there may be a hardware issue or a problem with the battery. In such cases, you might need to contact JBL customer support or visit an authorized service center for further assistance, especially if your headphones are still under warranty.

I’m impressed by the number of complaints about the JBL headphones. Mine has the same problem most are reporting here i.e it won’t charge. I tried many troubleshooting techniques but none of them worked. I’m so very much disappointed with JBL products that I’ll never ever buy another one again and I’ll make sure to pass the word along. By the way my headphone is less than a year old.

Since it's under a year old, it should still be under warranty. Maybe they can fix it or replace it for you. Worth a shot before giving up on it completely! Good luck, hope they sort it out for you! 👍🎧

Finally I found the solution 😊 My earphone was not charging, when I put the charger on, the red light blinks for 5 seconds and then turns off. I saw a lot of videos and applied all the tips, changed chargers and cables. I cleaned the charging place with a special spray, but to no avail. Then I decided to open the speaker and try to fix it. Indeed, I found one of the four wires next to the battery not connected. I soldered it and problem solved. I just wanted to share my experience with you so that you may benefit from it

It's possible that your JBL headphones have a charging issue or a worn-out battery. Try using a different charging cable and wall adapter to see if that resolves the problem. My headphones are new, I bought them only like a month or something ago. But today when I was charging them, I noticed that when I plugged the charger in, the red light turned on but after a bit, it turned off. I removed it from my headphones and plugged it in again, but it turned off again later. I’m charging them again now and the red light was on, but then it turned off like 30-40 mins after I plugged them in. I removed the charger and plugged it over again, the same thing happened after like 30 minutes. Also, when I removed them from the charger and turned them on to check their battery level on my phone, it was even less than what it was before I charged them. Like what? I turned them off and then turned them on again a few mins later, and the battery seemed to be back to normal. But now again, it’s even lower. I don’t know why this is happening, it’s so frustrating. Usually when the red light turns off, it’s because they’re fully charged, but I check their battery level and they’re not charged fully. Even the charging port seems to work fine. I’m confused. I even reset them, the red light still turned off after a few minutes. What do I do :((

Clean the charging port: Dust and debris can accumulate in the charging port, preventing a proper connection. Use a soft brush or a can of compressed air to gently clean the port.
Reset your headphones: Consult your JBL user manual for specific instructions on how to reset your model. Typically, this involves pressing and holding certain buttons for a few seconds.
Check the charging cable and adapter: Sometimes, the issue is with the charging cable or adapter. Try using a different cable or adapter to see if it resolves the problem.
Drain the battery completely: Allow your headphones to run out of power completely, then try charging them again.
Firmware update: Check JBL's website to see if there's a firmware update available for your headphones. Updating the firmware can sometimes fix charging issues.
If you've tried all these steps and your headphones are still not charging, it's possible that there might be a hardware issue. You may need to contact JBL customer support or visit an authorized service center for further assistance. Good luck!

Recently have my JBL headphones not so long ago about Christmas last year. It was working completely fine as per usual, but when i took off charge since i usually leave the headphones on charge for over night and turn them on.. it wont connect even tho it was about 80-90 percent. I put them back on charge to see the solid red light on for about a minute then turns off. I think it’s the hardware or the battery worn out, usually plug it in through the PC since it came with an audio jack. I tried it to charge on my laptop with the same charging cable it doesn’t charge unfortunately. The headphones are called LIVE 500BT.

Hey, sounds like you're having a bit of trouble with your JBL LIVE 500BT. It's weird that they're not charging properly. Sometimes, if you charge them for too long, like overnight, it might affect the battery. But, it could also be a problem with the charging cable or the port. Have you tried using a different cable or plugging them into a different device to charge? That might help figure out if it's the cable or the headphones themselves. If they're still under warranty, you might want to check with JBL or where you bought them. Hope this helps and you get your tunes back on track soon! 🎧🔋

Sorry to hear about the issues with your JBL 500bt headphones! It sounds like there might be a battery problem, especially if they've been unused for a long time. Try to perform a hard reset:
      1. Plug your headphones into a power source
      2. While plugged in, press and hold both the volume up (+) and volume down (-) buttons for about 5 seconds.
If this doesn't work, it might be best to contact JBL support directly or consider professional repair. Good luck!

there may be an issue with the charging cable or port. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
Check the charging cable: Make sure that the charging cable is securely plugged in both to the headphones and to the power source. You may also want to try a different charging cable to see if that resolves the issue.
Check the charging port: Inspect the charging port on the headphones to make sure there is no debris or damage that could be interfering with the charging process. Use a small brush or toothpick to carefully remove any debris that may be present.
Try a different power source: If the issue persists, try charging the headphones using a different power source, such as a different USB port on your computer or a different wall charger.
Contact customer support: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it may be necessary to contact JBL customer support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or arrange for a repair or replacement if necessary.

This is also my issue. No light turns on at all. After there was a Verizon service one day outside the building to hook up new stuff for new tenants, I noticed some blasting (deafening) interference in my right ear cup, the side that charges, has battery, etc. My phone and the laptop I was using for work, all had the same strange battery drain-drop issue. My phone was the first to act up, long before the building activity, as I've been dealing with multiple spammy, scammy issues with my digital world.
Is it possible it's a software issue from my spammy infecty phone? Or conversely, could something have been hooked up nearby that created the blaring, intermittent interference noises like that, just before all my devices batteries went nuts in the same chunk of time?
I've been seeking any tech help for a while. It's amazing there isn't a local public service at a library 😅
Thanks for this troubleshooting video 🙏❤
P.s. Since my phone and the laptop recovered after 24 hours each of being disconnected from a power source, I'm hoping the headphones just need maybe a factory restart, or something... and follow suit like the other two devices 🙏 Hence why I'm here :-p
Also if this sounds like the wall outlets, as I've had this happen in another building years back, somewhat similar, please let me know holy cow. That would answer a lot!! Ty!

Well, since I have a type c charger for my iPad. I used it and it worked (turned red), so does that mean apple chargers work?

    • @hifiaudios8101
      @hifiaudios8101  Рік тому

Absolutely, your iPad's Type-C charger can indeed charge your JBL headphones because they both use the same USB Type-C interface. The red light indicates that your headphones are charging successfully. Just ensure the charger output is compatible to prevent any potential damage to your headphones.

I have JBL 760NC headphones, after I cleaned them they started working for less than a minute and then turned off on their own. This condition repeats every time when it is turned on☹️💔

    • @hifiaudios8101
      @hifiaudios8101  4 місяці тому

Cleaning them should've been a good thing, but it sounds like something might've gone a bit wrong. Maybe some moisture got inside or something got dislodged? Try giving them a good dry out, maybe leave them in a dry place for a bit. If they still acting up, might be worth checking if there's a reset option for your 760NCs or peeking at the manual for any troubleshooting tips. Worst case, reaching out to JBL support could be the way to go

    • @hifiaudios8101

Maybe try a different charger or cable, sometimes the issue is just with them and not the headphones. Also, check if the port's clean, stuff can get stuck in there. If still no luck, might be a defect, and since they're brand new, you could look into a replacement. Hope it sorts out for ya!

My headphones won’t stay on while charging. I know it’s not a cable issue because I tried 4 different cables, two from the same company and two from different. These headphones aren’t dirty and I know that much because I got them yesterday, brand new. They simply turn off after a few seconds of plugging it in. I did multiple factory resets and they still won’t stay on while charging.

    • @hifiaudios8101

Sounds like you’ve tried pretty much everything with the cables and resets. It might be a defect with the unit itself. Since they’re new, maybe consider exchanging them where you bought them from or reaching out to JBL support.

Hey there! It sounds like your headphones might have a battery issue. Over time, rechargeable batteries can degrade and not hold a charge as long. Try doing a full discharge and recharge cycle. If that doesn't work, your battery may need replacing. You might want to contact JBL support for more assistance.

Turn them off immediately: If they haven't already turned off, make sure to switch them off as quickly as possible to prevent any further damage.
Remove any removable parts: If your headphones have detachable parts like ear cushions, remove them to help with the drying process.
Shake off excess water: Gently shake your headphones to get rid of as much water as possible. Be careful not to be too aggressive, as this might cause further damage.
Dry with a soft cloth or towel: Gently pat the headphones dry with a clean, soft cloth or towel. Avoid using heat sources like hair dryers, as this can cause more harm than good.
Use silica gel packets or uncooked rice: Place your headphones in a container with silica gel packets or uncooked rice, which can help absorb moisture. Make sure the headphones are completely surrounded by the rice or silica gel packets. Seal the container and leave it for at least 48 hours.
Let them air-dry: After the initial drying period, remove your headphones from the container and let them air-dry in a well-ventilated area for another day or two.
Test the headphones: Once they're thoroughly dry, turn them on and test their functionality. If they work, great! If not, it's possible that water has caused irreversible damage, and you may need to contact JBL customer support or consider purchasing a new pair.
Remember, water damage isn't always covered under warranty, so it's important to take care of your electronics to prevent accidents like these in the future.

First off, make sure you're using the original charging cable that came with the speaker. Try plugging it into a different power source as well. If it still doesn't charge, it might be a manufacturing fault, given it's brand new. I would suggest contacting the store where you bought it or JBL's customer support. They should help resolve this issue or replace your unit if needed.

It seems like your JBL headphones are experiencing battery calibration or firmware issues. Here are a few possible solutions to help resolve the problem:
Battery calibration: Fully charge your headphones, then use them until the battery is completely drained. Repeat this process a couple of times to help recalibrate the battery.
Firmware update: Check if there's a firmware update available for your JBL headphones. Updating the firmware might resolve any software-related glitches causing the issue.
Reset the headphones: Perform a factory reset on your JBL headphones according to the user manual. This can help clear any issues causing the battery percentage to display incorrectly.
Contact JBL support: If the issue persists, reach out to JBL customer support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or suggest a repair or replacement if necessary.

Have you tried a different charger or cable? Sometimes the problem is just a wonky cable or the plug isn't giving enough power. Also, a reset might help. Not sure about the exact steps for the 650 BTNC, but usually, holding down the power button for a bit can do the trick. If that doesn't sort it, might be worth checking out JBL's support or see if warranty can cover it.
