Charging JBL TUNE Headphones Battery (How to TUNE510BT)

- Explaining how to charge the battery of the JB TUNE wireless bluetooth headphones. In this example we are using the JBL TUNE 510bt but the process works for all other JBL TUNE headphone models as well.
Apart from the headphones themselves and the USB charging cable, which came with them you will also need a charging cube, i.e. from your iPhone or Android smartphone. It is also possible to use the USB port on your computer for charging.
A full charge takes up to 2 hours. The red LED right next to the power button will turn off as soon as the battery is fully charged. It is not possible to use these headphones while the battery is boing charged.

Awesome vid! I couldn't find the charging spot since they put it in an unusual location hidden in the crevice of the right ear bud, or perhaps it is usual and I'm just not used to bluetooth headphones. Welp, I don't know, but this definitely helped so thank you!

Hi!! I just bought mine, but I can’t see the battery’s porcentaje that’s left on my iphone X. Once I connect it through bluetooth, the only option it gives me is to select the device type. I figured I could find an app for it, but this model doesn’t work with the JBL headphone app, unfortunately. So the only way for me to know how much battery left I have, is to wait for the LED indicator :( any solution?

Hello! I’ve had mine for about ten months. Recently I noticed they don’t seem to hold a charge and die very quickly. Is it possible to overcharge them? If they are plugged in constantly, can that damage the battery? Thanks in advance!
I've read on google that it can damage them but I don't really know
well generally with any electronic that needs to be charged, you can absolutely overcharge it by leaving it on for too long repeatedly

What are the other 2 ports that appear to be USB Micro one on each headset ! One is next to the charging port .
The two other hole in the earcups are to enhance the bass.

@ta8333 Hi, I was at the store and it looked like there was a problem with the cable in the headphones that connects one to the other and is used for charging and replacing it costs around 25-30 euros in Serbia, but try to put a different cable, maybe they will work
or set cable diffrent
i just got a pair of these a few days ago & plugged them in for the first time this afternoon. after several hours i unplugged them & connected to my phone & noticed the battery was still extremely low?? so i guess they didn’t charge even though i noticed the red light when i first plugged them in? i’ve plugged them in again & hopefully they actually charge this time….

That's power rating problem, Reset your headphones once & try to charge your headphones.

As long as it is capable to supply 5 volts it is ok to use.
There’s not going to be a difference in charge time for these headphones.

Yeah I have had issues with the charging port - over time it wears and then doesn't always connect properly and charge. Pretty sucky given my JBLs are only 1 year old.

A year old is pretty good for headphones. Even if you’re careful with them damage will still be done accidentally with time. Most headphones don’t even reach the one year mark😂

I bought 2 headphones, one for me and one for my wife. I have exactly the same problem with both. Most times the red light just flashes and and goes out. Occasionally the red light stays on for a minute or so and then goes out.

@@user-fw6bs9ud8git’ll mean one of two things. If it flashes while plugged into a charger, either the charging cable or the charging port in the headphones is bust. The other thing is that your headphones are just not working anymore which is okay, electronics don’t have an infinite life on them. With time they stop working as efficiently as internal battery health decreases. Either way you’ll need new headphones

Thanks, the JLB 510BT installations are useless!!! I also found out a fast charger can be used to charge them. The cost paid for this device, it should've come with a charger and better installations.
i was thinking my headphones charging.. but I couldn't open them.. then i realized the red light wasn't turned on when i put the charger.. it turns out my charger is little bit problematic BUT I DID FINALLY. im gonna buy a new charger cable asap 😓😓

You need to point out the when plugging into head phones the plug fits either way also you should mention the cable spec/type if someone wants buy spare.

Some days ago when i got these gifted when chariging it showed a weak red light for a second before disappearing. Now you can barely even see it and as before it also disappeared after a second. I charged for about 2 hours and it was still at 20% the same percentage as when i got them on day one.

I don't see the port anywhere. All that I can find is small round headphone jack on the right side. The port should be bright orange.

My first guess is that the battery does not hold a char tree anymore - thats why it looks like it never stops charging.
In case yo yt headphones are still under warranty, I'd contact JBL support for a free replacement.

Hi, I do t believe they do.
Charging them for a few minutes gives them a few hours worth of battery life. But a full charge takes about two hours if I remember right

@@vanesacolin2758 Sure, you should reach out to an electronics repair center. They will be able to fix it for you, as there's no way to repair it yourself. It seems like there's an issue with the battery.

Thank you, I’m just now getting this exact headset about two weeks ago and now it’s time to charge it but I couldn’t find the port in the headset until I watched this video. Kept my receipt so I was about to return it for nothing.

Did you try connecting the headphones to a different device to check if they still make the sound?

Same, chargers over night and the red light blinks about 10x then stops. Only charges maybe 10% battery and I have no idea what to do. I’ve had them for maybe 2 weeks. The first chargers was great now they won’t charge at all

I cannot turn on my headphones. I have a tune710BT. when i plug it in, it stays red for about 5 seconds and then the LED turns off. Pressing any of the buttons does nothing, no matter how long i press nor how many buttons i press. The headphones will work when i plug in the auxilliary cord, but they DO NOT turn on the bluetooth. @@annacarlafesta8258 yes. It’s the battery cord. You need to pop open the left and reconnect the battery connector. Idek why it’s possible for it the come loose, there are no clips or anything. I solved this by banging my headphones on my desk until the cap came off. Also, be advised, I’m talking about the plastic side, not the soft side.

That usually means the battery is already fully charged. You should be able to also check the charging percentage of the battery with your smartphone.
