Lok-1 is definitely the strongest weapon for engineer but I just don't like feeling like I'm low on ammo just because I decided to be more active in a team. Didn't really like the warthog at first but after getting magnetic pellet now it's my favorite weapon for engie. As an aside, the stubby with EM refire booster and taking both damage mods is actually a pretty good gun. But the community has decided you can't ever compliment the Stubby gun, ever.
EM Refire is ok, but Turret EM Discharge with Gemini quickbuild turrets is up there with Lok-1 if you know how to use repellent platforms and mines.
EM discharge Defender Gemini with quick build is a swarm SWEEPER in tight corridors. With Breach Cutter and Drones you can lock down a corridor harder than LPL approved locks while still allowing your team passage with relatively low friendly fire if they get clipped by BC.
An important note for the Stunner overclock is the Breach Cutter gets stun chance on tier 4 - B, and the turret(s) can stun tier 3 - B. So taking Stunner can be incredibly efficient with the right build, and using it as a means to clean up with Breach Cutter and turret doing quite a lot of work on their own.
That's assuming that breach cutter doesn't anihilate everything in the first place

I found a minecraft axolotl while listening to this video. It's not relevant, but I wanted to share.

i played with magnetic pellet alignment and tried pump action yesterday (because i got it) and i really love pump action. low ammo, but it shredds waves.
1. more rate of fire
2. more ammo
3. more magazine
4. more armor penetration (theoretical damage 120) if you choose the more damage you would have 130 damage per shot, but armor will be a problem.
5. automatic + more rate of fire (i dont use turret wip that often and your running low on ammo otherwise)
rate of fire is 1.6 thats why i tool RoF that often
i personally never understood the warthog and always mained the stubby until i got mini shells, just allows you to be more active in dealing damage without worrying about ammo constantly and I never really incorporated the stun into my engie gameplay anyway. mini shells just feels right for me.
I thought the "Loki" was the best primary. And i wanna ask if you're gonna make make the best secondaries, id really appreciate that.

The best part about engineer is how versatile the kit is, it's really hard to consider one of the weapons as "the best." Lok-1 is definitely my favorite though.

Lok-1 with chemical rounds overclock so 3 locks triggers an explosion which is great for radius kills. That is his best for kill farming

Mini Shells even with more pellets mod can't reliably kill a grunt outside of its melee range with one shot even to the mouth, something which literally every other OC can do, so it's just not good. Lightweight Magazines with ammo and magazine size mods achieves basically the same end result as Mini Shells but without the pathetic damage and absence of Stun.
I personally only use magnetic pellet allignment and turret whip. With more pelets and damage instead of armour braking, you can one headshot grunts and even slashers easily and from a surpriseingly long range. And I always run out of turret ammo before shotguns. But maybe I just overuse the turret whip...

I would love to see a discussion on the turrets and builds that focus specifically on maximizing them. (I wish there were overclocks for support and traversal gear.)

Nice vid I have a question tho for scout? So I really want to use the m1000 with supercooling chamber and Zhukovs just I don’t know what over clock is good with Zhukovs because I’m trying to use them for crowd control and using the rifle for high high damage. But is this even a good load out? Lmk pls
I guess probably cryo minelets or gas recycling would be the best option?
SCC is a meme. Basically any other m1k OC is better. It can be fun because it's a railgun, but imo the penalties are just too harsh.
Tbh Zhukovs aren't in the best place right now, Embedded Detonators and Cryo Minelets are still top tier for them with Gas Recycling just slightly worse, but all of them struggle from use case issues.
I understand that the shotgun can be good as it does decent damage, turret whip is fun to mess with, and stuns enemies who get to close giving you space to run away. However in my opinion, I think its his weakest and least enjoyable primary thanks to good ol' RPS aka random pellet spread. I HATE this mechanic so much because sometimes you 1 shot macteras and glyphids point blank because your pellets all hit the weakpoint and sometimes you dont because some pellets decide to hit somewhere else. sometimes you just barely dont kill an enemy and now that said enemy kills you. It irritates so much when this gun doesnt one shot normal glyphids and macteras like I have to waste another round on this guy with a gun that already has a pretty shallow ammo pool without mods and overclocks.

Its the name of the series so all are "best" and theres no bad weapons in DRG its all to personal preference and how you use them. If you only take the most meta builds you will have no variety in your life and you're an NPC.
Great video m8. I don't disagree with people saying that it's underpowered, definitely needs a buff but good god it feels so good and it's extremely simple.

Shotgun is by far and away the most capable of the three
Lok-1 with ECR or executioner is objectively better than every single warthog build you can possibly come up with. Warthog relies on an entirely different source of damage (turret whip) to be even half decent.
Stunner Warthog is the best self-defense weapon, but Lok-1 is disgustingly powerful.
@@mr.newvegas1704 warthog takes the cake with Pellet Alignment purely because Ammo economy is more important on hazard 5. You will run out of ammo in the Lok-1 no matter what build you choose, and lock time is a huge issue for high hazards
@@reap3rofd00m3 MPA is decent, but it runs into the issue of literally not being able to shoot fast enough to do enough damage sometimes. In haz 5+ it just doesn’t feel that good to use when with executioner you can burst down a praetorian in a second, but it takes 6 seconds of shooting+reloading+shooting with MPA. Not saying it’s bad, but it’s just outclassed at the moment.
