I’m a stay-at-home mom and find I’m always caught up in one more thing I should be doing in the house to clean, cook, plan, whatever. I also suffer from severe anxiety and constantly feel overloaded mentally. To help find some peace, every day right after lunch, I go outside in my back yard, leave my phone inside (that one is important!), let my dogs out, let my chickens out of their pen to eat some fresh grass, and just sit down and be quiet. I prefer sitting on the ground - it helps me feel literally grounded. I watch the squirrels and birds, listen to the sounds - cars, birds, all of it, and it really helps me to feel calmer.
I feel that society does not appreciate stay at home moms anymore. You are doing an important job and very wise to know that you need to calm your mind.
I am now retired but the buzz in my head just got worse. The first (could and shoulds) stuck the nerve. As I am getting older, my physical ability (arthritis, back pain) seems to be down sliding. I am constantly comparing what I used to be able to do to the frustration of what I actually can do now. As a result, I have been living with guilt and self recriminations. Your comment of giving yourself grace and compassion highly resonated. Thank you for helping me realize that it is ok that not all is possible to get done.
We need time out and to be a lot kinder to ourselves we can’t help ourselves or anyone if we’re constantly running on empty! Prioritise self care first you should find you have more energy to get things done 😀
I too am retired, and a senior, and many (many) of my friends have the same ‘complaints’ ie wanting to do what we used to do, but our bodies just can’t. It takes some time to adjust. I can’t say one ever accepts the new reality but the more we resist the harder it is on us. Sometimes we just have to let go of all of our expectations, simplify what we expect of ourselves. Good luck in the journey to enjoying retirement. 🤗
@@theresew9910 Your right! I’ve slowly beginning to consciously tell myself this. Simply Zen ‘s platform and now obviously this community will be a great help.
@@Izzyic7505 From my heart, many thanks. Your reply serves notice to me that apparently I am not alone. That is important to me and it helps tremendously. I’m committed to this journey more than ever before.
I believe that having a consistent practice of some kind of art is really helpful for stressful moments, sad times or mental health issues. And I’m talking from my own experience and experience with people I lived with. It doesn’t need to be painting or drawing, it can be cooking, gardening, stitching, machine sewing, sketching, carpentry, anything that will produce something out of our hands and imagination. It’s so satisfying to think that we made this or that. My habit for having a balanced mental health is slow stitching and art journaling. Every day I do that, even if it’s for only half an hour. But I agree with you, Vera, that physical exercise is important and I need to improve on that, because I love to walk, but I never exercise my arms properly and if I can I stay at home many days in a row. I’m a bit of a hermit 🙄💙♥️🧡💜💗💛💚🖤❤️
Hi Vera. I discovered you recently, and I wanted to let you know you’re making a difference in my life. I watch one of your videos every morning during my “me time” and 1 video right before I go to sleep. Your calming presence and kind spirit set me up for a good day and restful sleep. You are the one who helped me realize I am a highly sensitive person, and we have other similarities…veganism, perfectionism, minimalism, tai chi practice… (I think there are others). I’m so grateful to you for your presence in my life. Thank you, Vera.
I literally teared up when you said “use the word “could” instead of “should” to allow yourself more grace”… this will be life changing for me and I thank you so much Vera! Just found you and this was super helpful! Happy 2023 and all my best!✨
Great video. Need these reminders. I think my favorite was the one minute thing where you mentioned we CAN find time to close out everything and calm the mind for a minute or more , we CHOSE to scroll on our phones, and we can find time for it. I shared this on my social media because i think its important for people to remember minimalism isnt just for our homes and closets LOL its for our mental health
It made me laugh so hard when my boss said to me that she had to take a shower over something we were brooding over together, because I do just the same when I need ideas coming up. When I am stuck in my writing, when I don't know how to deal with a problem (I hate it not no say "problem" when it is just that and not a "challenge"), I take a shower or just go to the bathroom. At work, I use bathroom visits for a quick mental "clean up" as soon as things overwhelm me. I always really hated doing household chores, because I thought them a waste of precious me-time. Since I started to take those chores as me-time when I can let my thoughts just wander, I came to nearly enjoy them. Except window-cleaning. I will never come to like that! And I started doing a little bit of housework every day instead of doing the whole place on maybe a saturday morning. I do not like "mountains" of chores in front of me (having a "mountain" in front of me makes me freeze and I do not know where to start), so I now take them bit by bit. One day it's vacuuming, one day it's laundry, one day it's mopping the floors or cleaning the bathrooms. This is an advice I love my husband for: Do not look at the mountain, just lookt at the next step and take one chore after the other.
I like your tip of not worrying if something is out of one's control. I'm working on this - acceptance. For peace and calm, I decline invitations if possible. I also keep weekends free of chores and errands.
I found myself furiously making notes from this video in my commonplace book! ❣Everything resonated, but as I'm dealing with chronic pain right now, replacing SHOULD with COULD was revelatory. It's amazing how much that shift in perspective immediately makes it easier on my body and mind. And you are so right about exercise and mental health. The biggest "aha" moment for me was when I realized that exercise could (and should!) be something I enjoy, and not something I have to endure. Now I do what feels good that day, whether it's yoga, hiking, or just dancing around the house scandalizing my cats. Thank you so much for this!
Aw I loved what you shared, Tina :) Glad to hear you found some helpful tips in this video that resonated with you. I'm sorry to hear about your chronic pain. I hope things will get better for you! Sending a hug your way
I noticed today while journaling, the thought that I only have today, that I’m grateful I woke up, that I had a working washroom, a comfy bed to go back to, a wonderful husband in the bed beside me, a safe and happy home. Today I am grateful to have woken up. Meditation is a great practice. I don’t do it as often as I’d like to but I’m trying to add it more often because it really does add to my day, to my mental well being. Thank you for sharing your ideas. PS: knitting, crocheting brings me peace and calms my mind, as does reading.
I guess I needed to find this video this moment. Thank you Vera ❤️ As an Introverted, overthinking HSP, this helped me lay aside toxic self condemnation and shame to reframe, reflect, and simplify the whirring in my brain. You are a lovely soul and your videos are soothing to watch over and over. Blessings
What a great video, Vera. It was super timely for me. I just started doing your seven-day simplify your life challenge and after the day one exercise I realized how much of a drain my hefty and never-decreasing "to do" list is for me. I've started a new process where I can try to minimalize that drain. So while many of your points speak to me, the first point was particularly powerful for me.
Vera, it is always a pleasure to hear your wise, positive thoughts. I just cleaned out my spices. I found many outdated ones and ones I don’t use, all taking up space. Not any more. It felt good to focus on just one type of item that I can do something about.
Loved this. Been a year now I've been trying to de clutter and live calmer it's really life changing . Thank you for awesome videos . Keep only what you love and use . Quiet time is best time .
Worry is a tough one. I'll turn it into a prayer and release it or write whatever it is down or do it if it's a step I'm able to do right now. That last one can be useful if you have an early schedule, appointment, whatever and you lay out your clothes, prepare food, that kind of thing, the night before. Tying the thoughts to some kind of positive release.
Every night, I sit with our 2 cats. When the human kids & dog are asleep for the night, the 2 cats know that I will sit with them on the couch and just be and drink my tea. I usually watch UA-cam videos or browse the internet, but it is my quiet time to listen to my own thoughts and just recharge in silence if needed. 😇
I really feel the link between the physical and mental clutter. Not everyone sees/feels it and that's fine for them but we each need to look after our minds and what helps us.
Gm Vera, journaling & reading or just sitting outside makes me calm, it allows me to declutter my head but I admit that I need to do it more often. I am also limiting any shows I watch that don’t bring me joy & leave me feeling refreshed & relaxed. Great tips here Vera! Have a wonderful weekend 🌳🎋🌲
Thank you for your excellent videos talking about a subject I never heard of before on highly sensitive people . I have since gotten two books out of the library on it and I am amazed how it describes me. Everything you mention in this video is excellent, I can relate to all of your points. Walk and talk stood out. I don’t have anyone to walk and talk with, very rarely. I used to journal a lot. Thank you for these beautiful bio. ❤️
I get up at 4 a.m. everyday to make certain that I have quiet time. I meditate, go for a walk, make some heated water with lemon and pink salt for hydration. I also live in a neighborhood that can get noisy once the world wakes up at 7 a.m. I also like to limit the amount of media that I consume. I put my phone away for most of the day and I haven't watched any television in close to six weeks. I also schedule in white space daily. I just go to my bedroom and observe my plants while listening to calming instrumental music. For me these are great choices for my mental well being.
My head is always full of thoughts and I really have a problem with letting go of things, so it is a daily struggle 😢. For me reading a book or crafting are the only things that can make sure that I can relax now and than and sometimes I’m able to meditate a little. So all of your tips are welcome and I will surely try them out ❤
Love all the wonderful tips. Everyday I make time to exercise for 30 minutes. I also sit in my sunroom with a good book and hot tea. To help me calm down I do my tapping for about 10 minutes everyday, sometimes numerous times a day if needed. I say - I am empowered, I am strong, I am loved. Although I get anxious, although I have pain, I know God is with me. I chose to relax and I love and accept myself. This really clears my mind. You can say whatever you want as you touch the points but this is my favorite. Have a blessed day! ❤
Lol. My HP “thought string” is paper or my phone “notes.” Basically writing in any way, shape or form. Anything from jotting down a thing I’m running out of for the shopping list, ideas, to do, plans, and finally processing all my feelings and things that bother me. I guess I don’t always take the “to do” list seriously Bcuz that could wind up being impossible. But I still have to make it leave my head, so I just let the paper or screen “hold” it for me. I don’t think of where I write things as any kind of Bible or anything. I just see it as something like containers or at times it’s like my black garbage bag for things that just need to be first expressed and then thrown away. (Like my current anger or resentment over a thing or airing of grievances or anxiety and stress or overwhelm or sadness and grief-which often helps me cry when I need to cry-etc). I need to put it somewhere Bcuz my head just gets way too full and then some bad feelings that don’t need to stay inside of me like poison. Of course I try to incorporate why I’m angry (or whatever the feelings are) and how to change things so that I don’t have constant repeats of stewing rage or angst or unnecessary grief or anxiety overwhelm etc. Our feelings really are more like car indicator lights telling us we’ve got a problem and we need to stop the usual grind and take a closer look at what is presently wrong and what needs some special attention. And when it’s really super bad, it’s more like a personal letter to God, venting and crying out for help and for other worldly wisdom beyond my mere human limitations and for real answers that actually work.
Thank you Vera… as you know this past week has been very tough. This video feels like you made it just for me. I have been taking time to just be. To let myself feel or just breathe deeply. I have spent time in my craft room just picking up and being in the space. It’s my creative place and it’s been quite awhile since I did much of anything there. I feel so much more ready to just relax there and let myself think or feel or do whatever my soul sings to me. I’m safe and all is well even if I can not see the full picture. I can let go of all those crazy squirrels. Or as I call it the 🐒🐒🐒mind. Thank you for your wonderful spirit, kind heart, loving soul. You are such a gift to me. To us all. Blessings
Thank you for another amazing video, Vera. I have OCPD, and your videos help me to slow down mentally. My high expectations really get in the way, and I find it hard to be easy on myself. Quiet time for me actually involves an audiobook and sewing when my son is napping, and my daughter plays video games for 30 minutes if im lucky. Because when I'm left to my own thoughts, I get anxiety and overthink. So an audiobook with a task actually helps me to... not think too much lol.
I love this, Vera! It's interesting how interconnected minimalism in your surroundings and minimalism in your mind are. Now that I've gotten my stuff and surroundings very minimalist, I can see how much easier it is to keep my mind de-cluttered. One of my favourite techniques that helps is to do 'morning pages' which comes from 'The Artist's Way' by Julia Cameron. As soon as I wake up (after bathroom and making coffee for ne) you write 3 standard sized pages of just whatever, basically a brain dump. Sometimes it's what I dreamt the night before, what I did the day before, whatever stuff needs to come out. It empties out the rubbish of your mind, and frees you up to be creative or just more centred and peaceful for the rest of the day. I always end my pages with a short gratitude list and positive affirmations. Also, I don't watch or listen to the news.
Thanks so much vera for making this. Where attention goes energy flows and in this era of technology we can't control our own will everything else control our lives. I struggle with this alot. knowing what we need declutters our mind and staying focused on our goals makes it easier to achieve. And also will feel less depleted mentally. ❤️
This are a good tips . But also spending time with the Lord , praying and talking to God reading His Word in the nature is my best gift for myself. ❤God can restore us ! In Him we can find rest and peace 😘
Hi Vera. Watching your video has a calming effect on me. Your visuals are so stunning and your message resonates with me. In this video, my takeaway will be scheduling the white spaces into my calendar.
Quiet time is so important. It's so good for me. That's why I dread mornings and have been enjoying nights more. It's quiet when the house is asleep. I enjoy that. It gets so loud around here. There's 7 people and 7 dogs. Silence isn't happening unless everyone is asleep. Quiet helps lead to intentional and clear minds. So it is easier to have a clear mind if your physical space is cleaner too. I've been wanting to go for walks but I live with family that has paranoia. I'm working on it. I have pepperspray.
Thanks for a great video Vera 🙂. Being present is one of my favourite ways to feel calm and content. Also I've limited social media to my favourite 5 UA-camrs and nothing else. It's been a revelation ! 💖
#4 is so spot on. I know so many people who worry about things that will never affect them in daily life. Yes, some of the things happening in the world are bad, but just focus on the things YOU can do to make it better don't worry about wars you can't fix.
Thank you for another excellent video. Mindfulness is the one thing I try never to go without in a day. When I miss my meditation 🧘♀️ my brain gets foggy xx
I used to add every single thing I thought of doing to my todo list on my phone, even if it was like... take some cuttings of rosemary. like you said, then it would just create a sense of urgency and necessity around it. now I have an 'inspired thoughts' list on my phone.
I just watched the video on mental minimalism and it really resonated with me. The idea of decluttering my thoughts and focusing on the things that truly matter is something I've been struggling with for a long time. I appreciate the simple and practical tips shared in the video, and I'm excited to start implementing them in my own life. Thanks for creating this valuable content!
Very nice video! I've never realized, but I've been doing all the things you mentioned in your video, and my partner is always surprised how calm I can be, while he is stressing about something. I couldn't explain to him how I do it, but you basically summed it up in this video. So now, I can explain it, and hopefully he will have a clearer, calmer mental space too. Thanks!
Thank you so much for this, Miss Vera. At the moment, I feel sluggish and quite anxious. I feel like there's a lot inside my head. Good thing that as I opened the UA-cam, it is you I found first. So now, it's time for me to take actions on what I learned from you. I super like the "scheduling white space." Again, thanks a lot. Your channel is indeed a safe and calming space. God bless you always.❤️
Thank you for your kind words! I'm happy you got some helpful tips here. I think we all feel like that sometimes, I definitely do :) So I hope you'll find some peace and calm this week!
I find it amazing that a key term in our lives now is “mindfulness “! I have read about Buddhism and the practice of mindfulness. I have listened to Thich Nhat Hahn and enjoy it. A practice that has been around far longer than any new ideas of technology comes up with. I try to meditate every day if possible and try to let things go. I don’t always succeed but I try. I need to schedule physical exercise into my day to help! I’m ready to give up some distractions for the sake of my mental well being!
I just wanted to tell you how helpful and informative this video is. I’ve actually listed these points in my journal as a reminder and reference to try to follow these guidelines in my life. I feel like we know this, but writing it down makes it stick. 🙂 Stellar video 💥
This video was very relatable and helpful! It is ironic you mentioned the recharging in bed…. I do the same thing while enjoying looking around my room and plants. Something calming about it 🌱❤️
Hi Vera, I know this video is 5 days old. But I wanted to thank you for the artwork of the mountain with I am sensitive I am strong! I work as a psychologist and at my new job this month I decided to decorate my therapy room with it. And it is as well a reminder for me as for my clients. Really love it and one of my clients already commented on it in the first week!
This is really the most difficult one for me... I always have so many ideas, what to do now, next etc...... So mindfulness is very important to me. So I try to stay awared and notice what my brain is doing.
I like that title Mental Minimalism. Out if your list, meditation resonates with me the most. I do it every day, with a minimum of 5 minutes, even when I feel this bad that I don't even know where I was doing it for again. But at the times I'm feeling better, then 30 minutes of meditation feels like those 5. I admire the other steps mentioned in your video, but sometimes just giving in feels more energy-saving than doing the positive I actually shou- ... could do. That's a good tip, btw: changing the word should to could makes it instantly feel less heavy.
I really liked changing ‘should’ to ‘could’ and have been changing to ‘’could’ a lot recently in my emails to friends. Should seems like such a directive, like you’re telling people that up to that point they haven’t been maybe doing something right. “Could’ to me is more of a mild suggestion, of which there could be many, but mildly saying ‘hey, why not give this a try?’. Also, the walking and talking is my favorite way to visit with someone easily and enthusiastically. Maybe the endorphins are all revved up. ha. Also I have noticed that being in water, like a hot tub or swimming, or an aerobic class also seems to lead to enthusiastic conversations or just is calming in general.
Another excellent video! It is difficult to choose one habit, but right now I need to focus hard on not worrying. I just found out I am loosing my job and don't know what the future holds! It will be important for me to do what I can, and then let go of any worrying thoughts so that I still have energy and happiness left. As a parent, I also want to be a good role model as well as support. I will do all I can to take care of me now that things are tough.
Hi Vera thanks for this video 🤗 I now prioritise self care first and find I have more energy to get things done when I can not when I have to ❤ and have gradually become more aware of mental chatter so I can choose to engage or let go 😊
Thank you Vera I need to take care off my diet and exercise I believe this would help me feel better and help with stress anxiety worry I just don’t know where to start thank you for a great video
So glad I found you on UA-cam ☀️ living in Denmark… listening to the Dutch was perfect😎 I’m absolutely exhausted mentally.. so getting back on track with less noise and breaks allowed… is just in line with what I have been doing this past week and also this week… need my white space💖👍🏻☀️🍀🌻
Excellent video. Thank you. I liked your thoughts on worrying. I also started to tell myself that I could do things rather thanI should. That little change is so helpful.
Hi Vera! 🤗💐Thank you for another great and calming video!✨ This is such an important topic, I love the idea of limiting information from social media and news. I struggle a lot with focusing my attention on one task, could you expand some more on that in a future video? Thanks again! 🌷💐🌺
This video came at the perfect time and is just what I need to help focus on de-cluttering my head. For me I think the taking time to meditate and quiet moments are the most important, although all of your points are really helpful. Thank you for a great video.
Vera, so many good tips. You have brightened my day with the lovely photos in your video. The ducks were a pleasant surprise! It reminded me to find a natural spot to just sit and relax, near where I live. Thank you again for a well intentioned video and a great place for a start to self care. I want to share this with so many people :)
Hallo Vera, ik kijk graag naar jouw video's, en naar de video's van The cottage fairy, ( ook een aanrader) jullie video's brengen mij rust en inspiratie in stressvolle tijden.💕.
my mom has been trying to get me into meditating by using the Insight Timer App. I really love it but she actually plays a 20 min meditation while she is in bed before she gets out of bed and its really been helping her a lot. its pretty cool to see actually but sometimes its hard for me to force myself to meditate for 20 min before getting up because im always excited to start the day lol
Is there a way to achieve mental minimalism while trying to be politically active? We shouldn't let our lives be fucked just to maintain our mentality unstressed, and since their decisions affect your life they'll constantly create more reasons to stress anyways. Lovely video Vera ❤
Thank you for the great ideas and another excellent video! You are inspiring! All your ideas will be added to my wellness journal. I look forward to your next video!
Thank you for another terrific video! I've been working on meditation lately and agree that it is very calming. In that vein, focusing on remaining present during the day also helps reduce worry. But the one you suggested that I want to add to my toolkit is the shoulds/coulds. I still am very guilty of pressuring myself with what I "should" be doing! Thank you for a wonderful suggestion for reframing!
Hey there Vera! Great video. I think I will try out mindfulness and up my exercise routine. I enjoy having walks to and from a nearby shopping mall, that has a café. Most of the people(like the managers), know me there and sometimes I can just come in and sit down for a few minutes with my laptop and not even order anything! It's a place I can just sit and let my brain wonder, then I take the walk back home again. Also I find that my creative juices flow more when I am there although sometimes it can get noisy, but I try go there mid-morning when there are less people.
I like "scheduling white time" that you do. I schedule entire days off, they are usually Wednesdays and Sundays, and Sundays are my days to "get out of town", have a nice lunch somewhere, look around, go to the zoo or a museum, etc. in another area of my state. Also, I have much more time for myself now, since November, because a friend of mine who has Borderline Personality Disorder "discarded" me (BPD talk), if you know anything about that type of mental illness. He called me nasty names in his email when he dumped me. He would write me 20-page emails and get angry with me if I didn't respond to everything he said by 7:30 the next morning. He also would keep me on the phone for four (!) hours, despite my attempts to pollitely end the conversations after two then three hours. I felt badly that he seemed to hate me so much when he discarded me, and I felt guilty, even though the misunderstanding we had was over practically nothing. But like I said, I now have time to think about what I need, and to get some of my own stuff done. I like your videos, and I love the light grey colors in your beautiful furniture, and the other neutral colors. Very inspirational. Thank you.
Hi Vera! I'm watching this video while working overtime at home due to project deadlines lol, ironic, isn't it? :D But watching your videos make my mind at ease and learn a lot as well. I don't consider myself as a minimalist but more dainty or subtle in a way however I strongly believe in minimalism and wabi-sabi as a philosophy and design concept (despite me being an interior designer). This year, I focus on self-compassion, slow-living and do things with grace, I like to be at peace but at the same time I want to spend more time with the people who I love and care---achieving balance at work and personal life (I also experienced self-neglect and burnout since 2021 until last year). To be honest, I want to go back to painting, drawing, and do these things together with my social tribe again. It really made me feel serene Recovering and getting there, baby steps matter! Thank you so much for your reminders
What habit helps you to find some peace and calm? 🤗🍵
Definitely reading a good book and maintaining quiet time
Making a junk journal❣️
-- I watch a lot of ASMR on UA-cam and those videos really help. 😊❤️
Meditation
Yin yoga before sleep.
Thanks for sharing Gretchen! That sounds like such a healing activity. Hope your anxiety will improve 🌱
I feel that society does not appreciate stay at home moms anymore. You are doing an important job and very wise to know that you need to calm your mind.
Same here! It's hard to find time for yourself when taking care of the kid/s and home. But even just 10 minutes can be beneficial 🩷
may i also suggest getting your legs up on a wall? even just five minutes a day has a slew of benefits. maybe you can do it while your coffee brews?
You are not alone! Motherhood is not tor wimps Lol
I find reading a good book, walking by the sea and having a power nap help clear my head.

I’m a bit of a hermit 🙄💙♥️🧡💜💗💛💚🖤❤️

journaling works really great; i combine it wit creative things...justramblings reallyy; the other tips really work too, kudos
I literally teared up when you said “use the word “could” instead of “should” to allow yourself more grace”… this will be life changing for me and I thank you so much Vera!
Just found you and this was super helpful! Happy 2023 and all my best!✨
So happy to hear that resonated with you! Wishing you a wonderful 2023 as well :)
I had a similar response. Could. Not should.
Sitting without distractions. Being mindful.
Great video. Need these reminders. It is. It's important to remember what is important for our minds.
Aww so wonderful!!! :)
Blessings
Yes! I love sitting quietly in bed with a drink to recharge too.
So happy to hear it!! Enjoy the rest of the 7-day challenge :)
Where do I access this 7 day challenge?
@@tracimorrow2282 Right here 😊 ua-cam.com/video/vLpqB4AiV40/v-deo.html
Aw so cute!! :)
Thanks for sharing Joan!! Sounds good :)
Very helpful 😢 Thank you so much 😢❤
Thank you Vera… as you know this past week has been very tough. To us all. Blessings
So happy this video was helpful for you!! Hope you'll have an easier week this week :)
The "should" and "could" advice was the most important to me. If it's not burning then it can wait.
My favorite on this list is controlling what you consume or fill your mind with.
Hi Vera. Watching your video has a calming effect on me. Your visuals are so stunning and your message resonates with me. In this video, my takeaway will be scheduling the white spaces into my calendar.
So happy to hear that, thank you Ann!! :) Have a lovely week
Wishing you a happy 2023. Lots to look forward to and lots to focus on now. You made a lovely video. Thank you 🙏
Thank you so much Susan! Wishing you a wonderful 2023 as well :)
Thanks for a great video Vera 🙂. Being present is one of my favourite ways to feel calm and content. Also I've limited social media to my favourite 5 UA-camrs and nothing else. It's been a revelation ! 💖
I do the same!
I agree, UA-cam satisfies me far more than TV; it's better thought out, not so contrived.
#4 is so spot on. I know so many people who worry about things that will never affect them in daily life. Yes, some of the things happening in the world are bad, but just focus on the things YOU can do to make it better don't worry about wars you can't fix.
Yes, that's true. Not always easy, of course :) But focusing on how we can make the world a better place is much more productive :)
Thank you for another excellent video. Mindfulness is the one thing I try never to go without in a day. When I miss my meditation 🧘♀️ my brain gets foggy xx
I get that :) Thanks Anne, happy you enjoyed the vid! :)
So happy to hear you enjoyed the video and found it helpful!! :)
Let it out :) that was a biggest one for me. I am somebody who really has problem blocking what comes in.
Thanks!
Ah that's great to hear! :)
A huge thank you! I feel so anxious tonight... Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Sending a big hug your way, hope you'll feel a bit better today!
You're videos are fantastic. I really resignated with the should or coulds
That's wonderful! :)
I just wanted to tell you how helpful and informative this video is. I’ve actually listed these points in my journal as a reminder and reference to try to follow these guidelines in my life. I feel like we know this, but writing it down makes it stick. 🙂
Stellar video 💥
Decluttered coffee making stuff when i purposefully ran out of coffee. Tea for me.
Yay to tea! :)
Besides the word "should". I've also eliminated "need to" and "must". As usual, a well thought out video.
Ah cool!! thanks Linda :)
Thanks Vera. Lovely tips. I sometimes go for a walk, listen to calming music or watch a movie that makes me laugh. ❤
Lovely!! :)
Hi Vera! Wat zie je er goed uit zeg, je straalt en schittert helemaal en ik word er gewoon helemaal warm en blij van. Goed bezig!
Ah dankjewel!! :)
Your tips for stopping "the habit of worry" was very useful
Happy to hear it :)
This video was very relatable and helpful! It is ironic you mentioned the recharging in bed…. I do the same thing while enjoying looking around my room and plants. Something calming about it 🌱❤️
Ah so nice! :)
Oh my, you have no idea how happy that makes me!! 🥰❤
@@SimpleHappyZen ❤️
This is really the most difficult one for me... I always have so many ideas, what to do now, next etc...... So mindfulness is very important to me. So I try to stay awared and notice what my brain is doing.
I can relate :)
Glad to hear you found some helpful tips here! :)
@@SimpleHappyZen O, yes. You have been very helpful for me over the past few years.
I'll do 10 minutes of meditation in the morning while I use my red light!
Great habit!! :)
Love the guy coming to deliver a package and saying something in Dutch and you responding in Dutch haha that was the best :)
😁
I always find your channel inspiring and find your videos perfect for when I need to refocus! ❤
Aw thank you! :)
Thank you for sharing Karolina. I'm so sorry about losing your job... Sending good vibes your way!
Hi Vera thanks for this video 🤗 I now prioritise self care first and find I have more energy to get things done when I can not when I have to ❤ and have gradually become more aware of mental chatter so I can choose to engage or let go 😊
I love the term “white space”. I had never heard of it. This is such a great idea!
Glad to hear it! :)
Thank you Vera I need to take care off my diet and exercise I believe this would help me feel better and help with stress anxiety worry I just don’t know where to start thank you for a great video
So glad I found you on UA-cam ☀️ living in Denmark… listening to the Dutch was perfect😎 I’m absolutely exhausted mentally.. so getting back on track with less noise and breaks allowed… is just in line with what I have been doing this past week and also this week… need my white space💖👍🏻☀️🍀🌻
so happy I found your channel - I definitely need some more calm in my life 🙏🙏🙏🙂

Ah so happy to hear it!! :)
Danke das es dich gibt:)
Aw so sweet 🤗💕
Hi Vera! 🤗💐Thank you for another great and calming video!✨ This is such an important topic, I love the idea of limiting information from social media and news. I struggle a lot with focusing my attention on one task, could you expand some more on that in a future video? Thanks again! 🌷💐🌺
Thank you for the content. Anxiety is a challenge. Limiting the worry is a huge help.
Thank you for sharing! Take good care!
@@SimpleHappyZen Thank you. You too!
Let it go!
That caused me to exhale in relief.
This video came at the perfect time and is just what I need to help focus on de-cluttering my head. For me I think the taking time to meditate and quiet moments are the most important, although all of your points are really helpful. Thank you for a great video.
Thanks so much Jim!! :)
Yay, so happy to hear it! :)
my mom has been trying to get me into meditating by using the Insight Timer App. I really love it but she actually plays a 20 min meditation while she is in bed before she gets out of bed and its really been helping her a lot. its pretty cool to see actually but sometimes its hard for me to force myself to meditate for 20 min before getting up because im always excited to start the day lol
Hahaha I get that :D 20 minutes would be too long for me in the morning as well :)
Beautiful video thank you Vera.
Thank you Daisy! :)
Another wonderful video. Thank you!
Thank you so much Susan :)
Very useful video and amazing tips🤩 Thank you so much love from India🇮🇳
The topic of the video... I just loved.
Thank you for sharing such great wisdom
All tips are helpful! I especially like white space.
Glad to hear it :)
Thank you for this. So so helpful. What you said about worrying helped and meditation does helps so much. 😘🤗
Glad to hear it :) Thanks Lucy
I like tips coulds and shoulds,
Happy to hear it :)
So happy to hear that tip resonated with you! :) It's been helping me out a lot as well :)
Thank you for inspiration 💚💜
🤗💕🍵
Thank you.
That could work👍 have a great weekend!
You too!! :)
Hi Vera! I'm watching this video while working overtime at home due to project deadlines lol, ironic, isn't it? :D
But watching your videos make my mind at ease and learn a lot as well.
All ur tips r noteworthy
Happy to hear it :)
Wonderful, Vera! 🙏🏽
