Hi !! OMG I ❤ both of you I’ve watched for you years and I commented on one of your videos asking if it was possible to come today the day before Easter I wasn’t confident you would but you did I’m so glad I bumped into you 4 times lol 😂also I’ve got to say Charlotte your so pretty !! Xxx
This month when me and mum visited Cadbury World, we shot more cocoa pods than milk. Even though I miss the old ride, this new ride is exciting and fun.
They get rid of Cadabra and replace with some screen based ride seems a huge disappointment. I remember going to Cadbury a few times over the years and always enjoyed going on Cadabra.
my favorite of cadabra was the cabrarys parrot popping out and giving you a jump scare when your not expecting it that will always remian in my mind as the best part of the ride
Did the ride have like a drop or was it the screens making it seem like a drop? Pregnant and taking my 2 year old tomorrow so hoping not otherwise I’ll not be able to go on 🤣
1:08 This Cadbury Chocolate Quest Ghost Train The Ride At Cadbury World In Birmingham In England Looks Fabulous. Thanks Theme Park Worldwide Amigo Dude Mate. X❤😂💞😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😅😂
We went on that ride today at Cadbury World and we got stuck on the ride! 😂 The bit we got stuck on and the ride didn't move 10:18 Luckily we got treated with a free chocolate bar. 🍫 😂😂
I’m still holding out hope that I’ll win a chuckle bean from the ride 😊, also great video as always it’s very refreshing that you are both so honest with your opinions.
I loved the branding and experience for "Cadbury Essence" which lasted a very short time in the building where the 4D cinema now is, can never find much about it online but the logo for the attraction was stunning
My best memory of cadabra is when I went with my primary School and I got too scared to get on and because they felt bad I got a curliewirly and a double decker
I feel the mistake is that this is Cadabra's replacement. Also, I find it a mistake that this is at the end of the experience, especially with downtime. I'm one that wants to do an attraction that I want to do first, in case it goes down. Hopefully they replace Cadabra with something just as interesting and great. You have the skeleton for it already, why not use it
It's an interactive attraction, like you say. So, why didn't they provide us with something other than a screen to interact with? I know it's a poor example, because it's not exactly in the best of nick, but think about Golden Nugget/Sheriff's Showdown at Drayton Manor! I wish we had more investments into modern versions of that!
One time me and my family were on Cadabra when it broke down. We were stuck for quite a while while they tried to fix it, which would have been fine except that our cart stopped perfectly under the fan, meaning we were very cold the whole time
I always thought the Cadabra ride was slightly creepy with the slightly creepy beans but it had its charm and it was practical effects. Duel proves that you can have practical effects and a shooter, the screens feel lazy which is sad considering the money Merlin is putting in. I’m only 20 so I’m not too nostalgic for the old ride but still considering they are in two different areas it doesn’t make much sense to close one ride for the other.
So they're giving back some chocolate at the entrance to the attraction but only 4 bars ? Back in the day when Cadbury World was younger, you got a goody bag with much more chocolate at the entrance & they had a lovely bouncy castle with inflated chocolate bars to hug so much fun. They should bring that back.
Such a shame that the year Cadbury focuses on its 200th anniversary, expanding its archives and celebrating, it goes and replaces its oldest ride that brought a lot of happy memories and childhood nostalgia...
The lack of a Queue line really baffles me honestly. I like how free flow cadburys world is, You can walk through the different parts at your own pace. Now having to Queue through advertising alley forces you to the pace of the queue
I agree with you both about the new Cadbury Quest ride. We visited on 24 March hoping to get on Cadabra before it closed but it had a technical fault and wasn't open so watched your vlog for it. Looking at your vlog for the new ride I'm disappointed too. It looked a bit booring with all the screens and there were far too many monkeys so looked quite repetitive. Yes why couldn't both rides be kept open, it would have meant more to see there. I know the main reason for visiting has always been the self tour around the history of Cadbury Chocolate (which was well set out) but now Merlin has taken over, hopefully they will expand the outside area. I also agree more family rides are needed, themed, like you suggested, teacups, carousel and a couple of small coasters as there's really only the 4D show and a kiddies play & picnic area at the moment. Are they just giving 2 free chocolate bars out now to each person, we got 4 bars each
Looks good. I agree with Charlotte, Twirl is one of my favourites. On the up side, there is a big unused indoor space now Merlin could do a lot more with. Why is there a mirror room?
personally thought the concept of the idea was a bit odd about what goes into a dairy milk bar when thats literally what the entire cadbury world experience covers 😅 looking at the pov they really couldve done so much more with that rather than just 90% screen 10% physical set it just wasn't consistent, they shouldve learned or even maintained some of the cadabra theming to give it more of an old school charm. either way, hopefully the feedback merlin get on this ride given its the first investment since the acquisition will help them build better attractions, and in a way that doesn't insult cadabra that had to close for this
very good video Shawn and Charlotte from Cadbury World located in Bournville have unveiled Cadbury Chocolate Quest. keep the good videos coming on the channel, Shawn and Charlotte. 😀😀😎👍👍
I think this place could be quite a good mini theme park, but only if you could ride everything as many times as you liked. I'd have thought that the appeal of an interactive ride is partly riding it again and trying to beat your score. They could also have an indoor boat ride about voyaging to the Americas.
Quite interesting with what they’ve done with the new ride…I’ve been to Cadbury world once as a kid many years ago I think I must’ve been about 9/10 that sort of age so it’s been a while!! Looking forward to getting back though and giving this a go….on another note I’m back at Thorpe park tomorrow for Mardi Gras
The trackless technology does look impressive given trackless is usually perceived as being slow and requiring a lot space for maneuver. The shortness of the ride, as opposed to the heavy reliance on screens is what concerns me the most.
🥚🍫🍫🥚 What an unfortunate let down in places 😕😞 that's a massive shame. What a slight bad false advisement regarding a free easter egg as well. At least there were some good moments that stood out, happy easter to you both.
There’s a very similar free ride like this at Hershey. You don’t shoot anything though it’s just a dark ride. This is in the visitor centre outside the theme park there.
It's so sad that cadabra has gone. That was the best part of Cadbury, plus the new ride looks rubbish in comparison. I definitely think Cadbury world needs some improvement, but they have really missed the mark with this.
I will really miss Cadabra but the new ride looks fun too. 🙂 I’m a little worried about the Cadbury Gorilla though, is he still there in Advertising Avenue?
Wow that looks so boring……and it’s obvious that it’s not finished yet either with the chocolate mould fountains at the end !! Also I thought you got another chocolate bar at the end which was made during the ride !? Such a shame they can’t keep both dark rides
Went yesterday having never been before so (thankfully) not having the nostalgia for it. Completely agree RE the Bournville experiences. I really loved that whereas I felt the factory tour was a little sad at times. Hopefully the Bournville experience is an indication of what some sparkle magic can do to the rest of it. On the ride: Yeah. I thought it was fine. I couldn't say more than fine. I think the kids will enjoy it and I suppose that is who it's for. It did make me a little sad because I love trackless dark rides and the UK should really have more of them considering the climate and it was just a bit underwhelming. That said, I was suprised by how good the 4D cinema was and happy I bought home a chocolate haul so not a bad day by any account
Whilst it’s far from being the worst dark ride out there, it does feel a shame that what looks an ok attraction could have easily been a great one. Will definitely miss Cadabra whenever I get back to visiting.
We went the other day and I think it’s gone down hill-you only get 2 bars of choc on the tour each now and taking the cadabra ride away has spoiled it. I think they’re still working on parts of it but atm it’s not really worth the money.
That ride looks almost identical, but slightly more modern, than the Knights Quest at Lego Discovery Centre in Manchester. I expected more but i just got a short ride with a few screens to shoot at. Very disappointing.

I had my first time on cadabra ride
What rides system are they using?
Love that the ride is like "grab ALL the ingredients we use guys, cocoa and milk, definitely not a crap load of sugar okay"
This month when me and mum visited Cadbury World, we shot more cocoa pods than milk.
Even though I miss the old ride, this new ride is exciting and fun.
Getting rid of Cadabra for this is unforgivable
Such a shame to see it go!

It was a great ride. Sad to see it close and replaced by this!
Willy wonka experience: the ride
i feel like they should've kept cadabra it was a classic it's such a shame they closed it down
We miss it already!

Went Cadburys World yesterday. Had an absolute blast! Glad you both enjoyed your visit!
Hope you had fun!
I'm really disappointed with this ride now I've seen it. Too dark, uninteresting, hard on the eyes & ears.

It would be good to see them reuse the ride system, however I can’t see it happening unfortunately!
I can't remember the last time I had a Cadbury. I'll have to get a fruit and nut bar tomorrow
BRING BACK CADABRA, THIS IS A JOKE! Yes Cadabra was old, but thats what gave it it's charm. Will not be rushing back there anytime soon.
