As spaniard, the best explanation I can offer for this is smth like:
"That's not happening", sino "this thing".
"That's happening", pero "this also happens".
And it's strongly important and very common. It's constantly used to clarify doubts, correct assumptions...
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
yes the coffee lounge! looking very relaxed senior haha
It's been a while since we went to the coffee lounge!
As an explanation as to why I want to learn Spanish is: cognitive function (I'm 70) and my cousin has moved to Ecuador, visiting her would be great or even moving there may be a goal.
Well in my book, I understand in this way through the exercise, sino is "not…but" and pero is "(yes)…but"
Interesting way to think about it!
Don't you mean "no.. but"?
@@steve5123456789 what do you mean?
I like this visual background much more than white. Also, when I read the video title, I wondered what the big deal was with pero and sino, as I had never had any problems with them. Then, being a native German, I remembered the English class where I learned that the German words "aber" (i.e Spanish "pero") and "sondern" (i.e. Spanish "sino") are both translated into English "but". A non-problem for German speakers, just like distinguishing between saber (wissen) and conocer (kennen). :-)
Muchisimas gracias 🙏
¡De nada amiga!
Me gusta su sala con una pintura dentras de el. Gracias por todo!
¡Nuevo Video! ¡Muchísimas Gracias Profesor!
De nada!!
Pero is but in Philippines too. Thank you.
I notice a lot of similarities between the two.
@@TheLanguageTutor sino in the philippines is who lol
It's very useful video. Thanks
Mil gracias dr. Danny por eso! Siempre eres tan bueno y a un bendición de díos!
Thank you, Sir. Could you make and put some Excircise videos on UA-cam. Your lectures are mind boggling and the way of teaching is mind blowing. Love you sir. Most welcome to India, sir. Any time. One more thing, sir, could you please put your previous lessons on your new channels.
Thank you so much! Im looking into more tools to help you guys. And this is the only channel that I have!
Totally confused on this subject before this video, thanks for clearing everything up for me. Sino= But rather/contrasting two opposites things...got it
❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks a lot. A video series on Spanish idioms would be cool.
Thanks for this.
Avis, thank you for watching!
Very good explained I got the difference between them in the first minute. Thanks. You might consider putting your coffee aside though, I don't see the point of holding a coffee cup in your hand the whole video long.
DE, you are so awesome!!!!
You too!!
Can you do a video explaining when to use Acabar vs terminar
Right, because I just learned the term acabar and I’m just like “whyyyy”???😂
Me siento como corrí con Danny en el café y lo preguntó explicar algo en el medio de su día (If this is grammatically incorrect, I invite anyone to suggest changes. I'm still getting the hang of grammar).
Love your videos!
That means so much Knisley, Thank you!
You're a great teacher ❤❤🌹
I'm a beginner in Spanish i don't know only so basics ( only some words)
Sir can you tell me when can i make simple conversations😊
Gracias 🌹🌷
Maybe work on your english first
It's been two years homie....have you learned Spanish?
We love all your videos! We are trying to review Spanish. After surveying most of the videos on UA-cam, I must say that yours are some of the best for the kind of learner that I am. It was a nice bonus that you are here in north Georgia too! But we often wonder why you have so many shirts!? The husband thinks you change them digitally.
Looking cool with glasses sir..👌🏻✌🏻
Just a quick qestion on your example. "Juan is tall but not very strong". Juan es muy alto, pero no muy fuerte. Isnt that redundant since you used "muy "twice in one sentence which would translate as Juan is very tall but not very strong? Is this a correct translation. Juan es alto, pero no muy fuerte. Gracias por tu ayuda.
Good stuff
I've some questions , I'll ask you about them nextly and i wish you answer me please. My questions will be about spanish language ....
SINO means WHO in Philippines
Interesting!
@@TheLanguageTutor can you teach filipino too😅✌️👌😊

Sino is who and pero is but.. in the the philippines.. lol
للعرب أسهل، عندنا نستعمل (لكن و بل)
أنا لست كندية لكنني أتحدث الإنجليزية جيدا.
إنني لست مريضة بل متعبة.
أظن هكذا.
Legit learn more here than at school
What's Mas?
In the Philippines we used the word “Sino” as “Who” not “But” lol
luciendo tan experimentado con anteojos ..... en el salón de café
Wait, why are you wearing glasses today?
Needed a break from the contacts that day and had to see my prompter.
Oh I understand
Thank you for teaching us
Looking good!
