I was there that day - in Group 1 - it was freaking hot, like 38 or similar. I remember the ambulance going onto the track after a red flag, it must have been for this. I reckon for the next five years, every time the R1 rider shuts his eyes he's going to see your front wheel pass 3cm from his visor :-O !

Not really sure about the clutch, just rip it in when required...it's what I've always done and never really think about it. I grip the bike a lot with my legs so I'm fixed on at the core.
