You're totally right in this statement! I'm born in 2005 and I've felt in love with the English synth-pop and new wave music but I also like very much Canadian bands such as Spoons, Rush, Loverboy, Saga and Honeymoon Suite. I found out those artists recently and I started liking them. 70's and 80's have got the best when it comes to music.
@ in this young age U must feel pretty different from your neighbour crowd. I was born 1985 and listening to Rush in 2001 was totally outsider thing. 😉 Now 80s are in good taste again for some years.
just discovered this tune. Wow, where have I been. I was hooked with "The Rhythm" in early 80s. Discovered Nova Heart from youtube shot up my personal billboard, this alongside. Even though a decade younger, I agreed Sandy was gorgeous, hot here. The whole group hairstyle, outfit and all - made this song even more electrifying.
Great tune, one of their best! But one of their best kept secrets had to be Waterline...my absolute favourite Spoons song. Never hear it anywhere on the radio but it's truly an amazing song!
As a Canadian growing up in the 80s we had this awesome band who by the ways deserves a full catalog remaster some other good ones were 8 seconds strange advance the payolas rough trade and Martha and the muffins
I’ve been a Spoons fan since Stick Figure Neighborhood, I think they are one of the most underrated bands of all time! Still listening to them in 2021!
This is a great song by a great band, absolutely timeless. We were long due for a great Canadian music revival! What a great tune, it goes thro my head all day. What a beautiful ear worm.
heygringo7 I remember buying their album Arias and Symphonies after hearing the single, "Trade Winds," on the radio. I've been a fan of Spoons ever since and I agree that they are one of the best bands to come out of Canada. This video is awesome.
With the latest compilation release which includes this track, Gord mentioned they intend to include songs from Vertigo Tango and Bridges Over Borders now.
Yeah I assume some legal reasons (defunct label maybe), with this album, Bridges over Boarders, and the Listen to the City Sound Track they did. They have a new compilation Album out now and on Spotify and this one is on it.
If The Spoons had no talent they'd still be one of the best looking bands in history. Then they go and have great songs and talent as well. I'm so close to just hating on them.
I just love this song and the video. This is a much clearer version than the one that has already been up on the Spoons' YT channel. If this is possible, I would love to obtain the original file you used to upload this. Would it be possible to email it to me through Google Drive? TheVloggerZone@gmail.com It would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Geez! Sandy is rocking that Spector bass!!!
Burlington as a city should be so...proud of this super band.
Great tune, one of their best! But one of their best kept secrets had to be Waterline...my absolute favourite Spoons song. Never hear it anywhere on the radio but it's truly an amazing song!
Waterline is one of my favorite songs of theirs too.
Waterline is so atmospheric and ethereal. One of my fave Spoons song also. The visuals in the video perfectly suited the song, too.
This song is timeless, and one my favorites, too.
As a Canadian growing up in the 80s we had this awesome band who by the ways deserves a full catalog remaster some other good ones were 8 seconds strange advance the payolas rough trade and Martha and the muffins

"When Time Turns Around" is my favorite Spoons song. Can't listen to it enough!

Agree! I love that they ended the run with their strongest stuff.
Feb 2020, River Cree Casino, Spoons, Men Without Hats and Flock of Seagulls!!! \o/ Can't wait!!! 💕💕💕💕💕
As a keyboard player, I so approve of this jamming keyboard riff!! 🤗🤗🤗😆😆😆
I forgot about this song. Glad I found it again.
I went out and bought the tape after seeing this video, back in the day.
Super stylish video and cool song by the best Canadian new wave band that should have been way bigger. The Spoons had a great sound.
heygringo7 I remember buying their album Arias and Symphonies after hearing the single, "Trade Winds," on the radio. I've been a fan of Spoons ever since and I agree that they are one of the best bands to come out of Canada. This video is awesome.
This song needs more Sandy Horne!!!

My favorite song ...seen them play at Gage park Hamilton in the 80's ..when Rob was the keyboardist
A shocking hit. Superrrrr. My love to Mrs. Thorpe and Burlington people.

Too bad you didn't seem to put as much effort into english class. You wrote "play's" in your comment, it is spelled plays, NO APOSTROPHE!
Goddamn is she beautiful.
Great video Gord from the Spoons #1 fan
Mullets a go-go. I used to love this song.

I wish they play this LIVE more often.

Can’t find this song on Spotify for some reason, one of their best IMO.
Yeah I assume some legal reasons (defunct label maybe), with this album, Bridges over Boarders, and the Listen to the City Sound Track they did.
They have a new compilation Album out now and on Spotify and this one is on it.
This song along with Waterline and the entire songs from the Vertigo Tango album is on Spotify. Spoons rocks!!
A staple on my iPod as long as I've had the thing.
Отличная композиция! СПАСИБО за видео !!!
super!
El new wave y synthpop mi género favorito 🎉😢

SPOONS LIVE at SPOT 1 MUSIC HALL Brampton , saturday sept.24. / 2016. call today for tickets. www.spot1Live.ca
I forgot about this song. Is that the old Don Jail?
Old city hall clock tower.
They should have left the camera on Sandy for the entire song
There best one,
I guess they were trying to have an edgier sound than the three previous albums?
American sound.
I just love this song and the video. This is a much clearer version than the one that has already been up on the Spoons' YT channel. Sandy Looks HOT In This Video
I remember when they were “Spoons,” not “The Spoons.” Why the name change, when it was fine the way it was?! Ugh!!
