Wow .. first time I ever heard of The Jitters I was a kid at my Granparents cottage in Sauble Beach and there was a Concert On the Beach … big event for Sauble back then … I remember they were Ssoooo goood !!! I can picture them !!! … then lo and behold here I am like 17 years older or something and working at “ The Highlands “ … live music and dance in my hometown of Cambridge and guess who my boss Wayne Boldger tells me we have playing the weekend coming up ?!?!? … THE FRIGGING JITTERS !!!!!!!! … NO WAY !!! I say and tell him of my story at Sauble as a kid and how I remember them and how good they are !!!! … then I met the guys and told them and they were flabbergasted !!!! … what a night of reunion working for them when I knew them for years !!!! … GENTLE .. KIND … CONSIDERATE GENTLEMAN IS ALL I CAN SAY ABOUT ANY OF THEM !!! … it was a PLEASURE meeting and working for them !!! 💯🤙❤️ … and I’ll leave the “ Kung - Fu moves and diologue on my light scaffolding after the load out for my MEMOIRES !!! “ … LMAO 😂😂😂
I remember walking into the pub I deejayed at in Moncton, NB during the early afternoon and the bartender ask me if I knew who they were. I said yes and said I had their album in my booth. Then he points across the room and said "well there they are" a cool moment. I went over and talked to them for a few minutes, got them to autograph my album. Still love this tune.
Years ago I worked the phones in a customer service department. A guy called in about his account and gave the name Blair Packham. I said, “Blair Packham? From The Jitters?!” He was super nice and genuinely could not believe I knew who he was.
@@travisrussell3250 Picked up a couple of Doug and the Slug albums as well at the same place where I got the Jitters album, altogether cost me about a buck for all of them lol
They supported Heart in the UK on the Bad Animals tour. Really loved this band. Great musicianship and very tight live, backing up their polished studio sound. It's tough with the 'making it big' thing. This 'Huey Lewis' sound had already peaked by the time they had this modest hit. I always hoped they'd score a song and cameos in a cult horror movie (you could see the sense of humour), evolve into something more heavy, or add a rockabilly-punk or political edge - just that small, extra thing to give them a loyal core fanbase (rather than fickle pop) to allow longevity. They'd clearly done most of the hard work.
Last time I saw you was Sept. 1988 at UofT frosh week. You jumped on stage to play with some Q107 home grown band. Maybe Pursuit of happiness maybe, Wait yes...I think it was Doug and the slugs. Yep pretty sure
Saw this video being shot when I was skipping class with my buddy Bill way back when I was about 15 or 16 lol. Used to hang out in the Beaches and Bluffers park area quite a bit. Just heard this great song on Spotify yesterday after not hearing it for about 20 years, now I can't get it out of my head lol.
I love this song but the video is ridiculous. Looks like they shot it on a ten dollar budget lol. I like the little smirk the guy has... like he knows how silly it is or something.
One of the best Canadian group during the 80’s!! Wow brings back hear them on Good rocking tonight every Friday night!!

Just found this by accident. Love it!!!! Those harmonies are awesome!!!!
Early 90's, The Jitters opened for Colin James. Great show that was!!
This is awesome. Reminds me a bit of Doug And The Slugs.
I thought it was all these years

I first saw this on VHS in 1992, 32 years ago... now I'm watching it on my tablet streaming through UA-cam
A young Tony Soprano. Catchy tune. Well done, gents.
I love the feel of this song.
Just picked up a copy of this album on vinyl for just 25 cents.
So jealous. I found a Doug and the Slugs vinyl the other day in the bargain bin though, can't complain!

This was a great music! This is how it's done!
Great song....great times.
me , i always thought this was doug and the slugs.
so did I; it certainly is their style
Awesome that you posted this, been looking for the original a long time.
A one hit wonder. I admit most of their music didn’t strike me as my music.
But this is an exception.
A one hit wonder.
It’s up there
Love this tune!
Me too, Steve.
Finally! Thank you for the upload!
Dave Rudd I almost gave up hope.
DjEclectic Same here! :)
These guys played my high school.
That unexpected intro
I think Chalk Circle filmed their video April Fools at the same place this video was filmed . Great song !
I had the album. This I remember, s well as "Go Ahead and Love Me".

Just brought my kids to that fountain for a drink of water yesterday

Has anyone ever told you it's a good song to eat potatoes to
The filtration plant in the Beach?
Yes.
Does anybody know where this video was filmed?
+James Macdonald ..It was filmed at the R.C. Harris water treatment plant in Toronto. I know this because I asked Blair Packham and he told me. lol
Pádraig I worked with the guys just after they released this what a great bunch of guys. to bad they couldn't keep it going
It's in the Beaches, I can see it out back from the house where I was born.

I’d rather see a simple performance video like this than some of the high brow “concept” videos many artists have put out over the years.
I like the video. The Beaches is a cool place, especially then. Most Canadian Bands had a shoestring budget for the video. I think it holds up well.
Same thing with the Headphones don't it make you feel. Great song but an embarrassing video.
I believe it’s the Portlands water treatment plant down by the east end in Toronto’s beaches area
Some tragic hairdo's here, lol
