  • This is the CSL MV Whyalla. It is a transhipper vessel capable of unloading itself into cape sized vessels out in deeper water, that those ship have to anchor in because of their size.
    Firstly, it is loaded at the SIMEC Whyalla Ports Inner/Outer Harbour berths, then under its own propulsion, heads out to the deep-water anchorage points in Spencer Gulf approx. 15kms off the coast from the city of Whyalla, in South Australia, and unloads.

    The marina, jetty and foreshore area in this video, is the Whyalla foreshore complex. A city in South Australia known for the local steelworks, iron ore mines located nearby, and a port facility for loading and unloading various products for export and use in the steelworks complex.
