Hello all, this channel is a place where I can show the videos that I take with my DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone and my three Canon cameras, an EOS 90D, an EOS R5 and a EOS R6. I also do time-lapse videos to give a different perspective of time in motion using the above equipment.
My time-lapses are a work in progress atm as I practice the timing, shutter speed, and all the other stuff you need to know to get them right and looking good. It's all a learning curve for me :)
I have just got into drone videography/photography and hope to get better as I go along this journey. I would love for you all to come along for the ride as I push myself to improve my drone and camera skills, and hopefully give you some enjoyment and viewing experiences of the amazing country that I live in, Australia.
Feel free to like my video's if you think they deserve it, and subscribe for more content, too, and leave some comments along the way to help me out with my videos.

Aroona Dam, DJI Mavic 3 Classic - HLG H.265
Переглядів 1183 місяці тому
I was at Aroona Dam yesterday with my family, and I took the drone up to get some footage of this amazing place in the dry, arid outback of the Northern Flinders Ranges. The dam was originally constructed to supply water to the Leigh Creek Coal Mine that is situated just outside the small township of Leigh Creek in South Australia. The mine closed back in November of 2015, leaving the town, whi...
Mavic 3 Classic - First Flight Recolour and edit.

I have been trying to learn how to colour correct and grade my video footage from my Mavic 3 Classic drone over the last year or so, as I have been using the Log profiles more and more to get more dynamic range from my footage. I decided to have a go at this video I uploaded shortly after purchasing the Mavic 3. The video was shot all in the "Normal" colour profile at the time, and although the...

DJI Mavic 3 Classic, Waypoints first test

This was my first attempt at using the DJI Mavic 3 Classic's, Waypoint mode. You can set each waypoint and select what you want the camera to do via an "easy to use" mode setup, that is quite intuitive to use. This can be done at the location you're at, OR, at home, before you leave via the map in the DJI Fly App. All you need is an internet connection to the controller either through your home...

They seem happy. Even tho they are there for human amusement.
I’m riveted by the wild animal videos I watch on UA-cam. Best regards and thank you!
One of the strangest looking vessels, ocean looking clean & grass really green. Great little drone journey of that Interesting area of Whyalla 👍👍👍
@wayno23 It's a great idea. Replaces the barges, the ship loading platform, and the tugs all in one vessel
Mother nature is just so beautiful especially when you see these big cats who are actually my favorite big cats it makes it even more beautiful.
I was at Leigh Creek caravan park last weekend but unfortunately Aroona dam park was closed due to feral animal shooting was being done. Thanks for showing me the area in this footage. Cheers mate
No worries buddy, glad you got a sense of what the place looks like. If you're ever up that way again, I'd definitely recommend you try and get in there again for a look 😊
Impressive shots 👍
Thanks robo. It was not what I expected to see in such a dry, harsh area of the Flinders Ranges, that's for sure. I was quite lucky, actually. The outer edge of the dam heads into an area near the local airport, and because the DJI drones have geo-fencing, I wasn't sure if I'd be able to fly there 😊
@@memarkmc Happily you could fly there 👍
Never knew it even existed, great description too good work 👍👀
Same here Wayne. Neville Rotherham told me about it after he posted a few pictures a few months back.
Another awesome video mate
Thx Darren. It was a pretty good day up there yesterday for flying around with a camera 😄
Memarkmc- ‘sup?! this is amzaing picture.
Cheers, my friend 😊
Just watched the video. As has been said before, it's good to see what the set-up is for discharging offshore is. Quite an eyeopener. Really enjoyed the video, nicely done with the drone. Very skilful. you just got yourself a subscriber. I'm finding your content very educational - keep it coming my friend.
Thx for the comments, it means a lot to know I'm on the right track. I'll try and keep the information in there, too, if it helps others with their creativity 😊 and thx for the sub BTW 👍
Impressive shots, smooth flight 👍
Thx Robo 😊 the Mavic 3 line-up are great drones. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to create cinematic footage. Plus, the 20Mp Hasselblad camera shoots amazing photos 🙂
@@memarkmc 👍👍👍
Peaceful, nice work mate.
Cheers Wayne 👍
The colour looks awesome mate amazing footage it's a different world up there.
Cheers mate. Normally I wouldn't worry too much about the colours in the Normal Profile, but this LUT from DJI definitely makes a difference.
Yeah sure does looks very natural too
Incredible shots 👍
Cheers Robo 👍 the drone does a lot of the hard work for me 😄
@@memarkmc Powerful machine 💪
Very professional mate looks awesome..
Thx mate, it was a great experience to get out there to shoot 👍
Was wondering how they loaded out at sea .. good one Mark.
It's pretty amazing to get up close and have a look at the whole thing going on out there.
@memarkmc yeah mate 👍 another interesting mystery answered 😊
Soothing
Good to see monarchs recovering again they were a joy in the 1970s.
Very cool mate 👌
Something different from the norm 😄
Did you get the gold pan out mate ?
😂😂 nah bud, it was getting late in the day, and I still had to get back up the hillside with my camera gear before the family sent out a search party for me. I was gone for almost 2 hours while they waited in the car. The walk from the parking area to the waterfalls takes about 40 minutes downhill. Almost died walking back up the hillside 😄
@memarkmc oh ok in Victoria they do still find gold in them creeks hey. Yeah I'm hearing ya about climbing, I climbed up wild dog hill recently, surprised how hard it smashed my cardio. Beautiful spot that waterfall worth the hike good stuff 👌
Very nice mate they would make a awesome long exposure image 😉
I'll get back there again one of these days for another shoot. I did get some nice photos from that rock in the middle of the stream 🙂
Looks amazing definitely nothing like that around here lol

Awesome shot, memark! Like from another droner :) keep flying dude, thanx for sharing wonderful video
Cheers for the comments 👍
@@memarkmc keep flying!

Thanks ✌️
Reading the description there's obviously a lot off effort that goes into making these, well done & keep enjoying it Mark 👍
Cheers Wayne, will do bud 🙂
Impressive 👍i like the white contrast on the right which eventually breaks through & lights up the concrete..cool.
Thanks Wayne. It sure was a good cloud formation to capture in time 😊
Nice , it's just great to be out in the countryside.
Sure was Wayne. A great view from up at the wind farm too 😊
Great capture 💥💥💥
Cheers Robo 👍
That was awesome mate you got some nice CGs with your drone
Yeah mate, I was quite surprised about the drone ones

💞
Enjoying the views from above which i haven't seen before of places I'm familiar with on the ground only .. nice work mate 👍
Cheers Wayne 👍
Awesome quality footage mate that drone is pretty amazing..
Yeah mate, this automated mode is pretty cool. Fly the path first up to set the points and angles of the camera, or programming it at home, it is truly amazing technology.
Sounds pretty cool
Successful test 👍
Hi Robo, definitely a great asset for the Mavic 3 line. I have to say I was pretty impressed by how smooth the drone flies the waypoint route. How it can smooth out the path to give a curve between waypoints is very nice 🙂
Good stuff, that's a great view too. What are the on board cranes used for ?
Loading their own cargo if necessary I think
Congratulations, WPT. It's great to see milestones being achieved. Well done 👏 Amazing footage 😊
Impressive shots 👍
Wow what a perfect location to fly in that is absolutely beautiful.
Thx for your comment, Andy 👍 yeah, the Flinders Ranges is an amazing place, and I'm hoping to get back up there soon for some more drone flying 🙂
Very nice! That's some pretty incredible camera quality :D
Thx Mateo 🙂 it sure is a great drone 👍
Someone was flying a drone above the drag strip on Saturday.
It's just outside the no fly zone for aircraft landing and taking off from the airport flight paths
@@memarkmc ok cool , next 2day event in may , get some footage mate 👍

Thanks for the comment 👍 and the like and sub, too 😀 it definitely helps me keep motivated to make more content
Settings???
Hi Prakash, I'll have to look back at the images to see exactly what settings I used and get back to you 🙂
Hi again, Prakash. I have just looked at the Metadata of the RAW files for this timelapse, and the settings were as follows: Shutter Speed: 10 seconds Aperture: F4 ISO: 500 You want to aim for a shutter speed that works well with the other 2 sides to the exposure triangle. Keeping the ISO at around 500 allows you to pick up the different colours in the stars (Yes, they are different colours 😄) without overexposure, and the aperture of F4 is also all you need to get an exposure that doesn't blow out the stars too much, and gives you sharper points of light by stopping down from your maximum aperture of the lens you use. This was shot with a Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 HSM Art lens at 18mm.
Can you do a video astro timelapse and if so what would the settings be 🙏
Great flight video. Thank you for sharing it with us, especially with people like me who have caught the drone fever but can’t make the financial plunge just yet. 🤞🏻🚁😎
Thanks, Ken. I appreciate the comment 🙂 and yes, drones are a great way to see the world from a different perspective. Hopefully, you'll be cashed up soon, and you will have those same experiences as me 😊
