I just found your content. It was a 4 day solo or 6 day solo with Akela. I have really enjoyed your life and content. You are such a real person. You live such a great honest life full of integrity, compassion, awareness, joy and gratitude. At least that is what I’ve gathered from the first 30 videos or so. Working my way through the older videos now. In one video you mentioned people being hateful to you on the internet and I just can’t possibly see how anyone could take issue with you or your life. I’m headed to Patreon next!!! Keep the great content coming!!
My dad has Alzheimer’s so in a lot of ways I’ve already lost him but his body is still here. I can still hug him physically. I can’t imagine that pain. My dad is my superhero and my everything.
I saw this episode at the beginning of the week where I've chosen to not post on Facebook. While I'm still scrolling through once a day, it has started to remind me that I need to make contact with my environment. We live in a small town, and we have an incredible yard full of birds and flowers and I'm retired, so if I have anything, I have time. My goal this summer is to enjoy every moment. Thank you for the inspiration.
Me too! I have tons of yard work winter cleanup and the never ending weeding. I told my husband since I have time..I am going to do one section at a time and love where my yard/garden is now. My daffodils were gorgeous and my tulips to vibrant. Apple, cherry, pear blossoms so delicate in color. I am going to appreciate it all coming awake instead of always looking at the work to be done! Cheers! ❤
A journal is good not just to help figure stuff out, but it's also a good place to put your creative ideas and experiences. The best thing a journal does is when you look back and see how you've grown. I've been keeping a journal for years. More should journal. Enjoy your life's journey.
Get choked every time you share stories of your dad, I love the imagine of him in his cap, heating water for your mama, drinking tea and calling you pickle! He lives on in the hearts and stories of many, keep ‘em coming!
Linnea, what a treasure you are making of your life. It’s such a thrill to watch your life unfold. Love your approach to life. Bravo!!! Love the mug too 😊
I was near tears at the end, not sad tears, but longing tears. It's funny the things we take for granted as kids, heck even as adults. What I wouldn't give to have one of my mom's hugs or for my brother to call me squirrel. I try to shift sadness to gratitude for the fact that I have so many wonderful memories. To be so thankful to have had such love that even 10 and 2 yrs later my heart still aches for their absence. I so love the peace you find in nature and solitude. It is a truly beautiful thing to have found what fulfills your soul, and had the wherewithal to follow your heart at such a young age. Many of us don't find it until we are older, some never do.
I absolutely adore you and the life you live . You have inspired me beyond words . I’ve been building my van this year and hope to get it finished and livable by May or June . I have so much respect for your courage, and the love you have for Mother Earth , animals, and all the amazing things this life has blessed you with . You have a wonderful way of giving a voice to some of my own thoughts throughout the years. For some of us it’s instinctual to push back the notion this is the only life or path to take. I used to describe it as my own Choose Your Own Adventure book. One of these days I hope to be able to articulate my thoughts on this as well as you do. Thanks Linnea 🏔️
Thank you Linnea for sharing your life with us. When you talk about your dad it reminds me of mine who has been gone 28 years. Thank you for being so honest and real. You are a wonderful human!
I first started camping out of my SUV not by choice but economic reasons & it was so difficult at 1st for me to get accustom to but video's like yours helped me find a whole new side of myself. I learned so much about myself & tried new things. I am still growing & learning as a person. I feel like I'm a better person, happier, stronger & learning to accept life as it is. Thanks so much for your words, thoughts & reflections. It really helps so many of us out here on these empty nights. I wish you a blessed life full of happiness & thanks for all you give us.

Thank you for sharing your life...and putting so much effort into making these inspiring videos!!
What a beautiful video. Such a vibe of contentment and harmony. Thriving in nature. I know you miss your dad. I am always humbled by the memories you choose to share with us. The connection you have with your family is lovely. I don't have that and sometimes wonder if it really exists. It's the memories you share that make me see that it can exist for some. I love that. A million possible futures....and people landing on one and only one of those millions of possibilities... and sticking with it forever, foregoing all the others. You put this into words so perfectly. I struggle with this constantly! NOT because I stay with one and only one life, but because I love so many things and want to experience so many lives.... I'm constantly changing and people (with the best of intentions!) are always wishing/hoping I'll "find what I'm looking for" and settle down. But for me....that sounds like such a waste and really boring. Thank you for the validation and understanding! You're so much more evolved than I was at your age and I only now am catching up with you (I'm 64 😂). YAY YOU! Carry on! 💚🩵💚
Linnea somehow you always capture the beauty of wherever you are. Thank you so much for these reminders of how beautiful life and what is around us can be if we choose to notice. 😸😊
Love the music at the end ☺️ always look forward to your videos and seeing your adventures. I hope you do a meet and greet of some sort so when I'm on the road I can meet you!! Yours was one of the first builds I watched all the way from beginning to end so you've been very inspiring in my journey towards being at least partially nomadic and living a bit more freely. Thank you for still being you and making authentic and beautiful content. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Loved the memory of your dad. I have very similar memories of my dad. I miss him so. You’ve inspired me to journal. And to be up with sun. Thank you for being you! And for sharing bits and pieces with all of us!❤
So glad a new video is up. My husband is locked into a career and has three more years at least before we can start traveling. I am looking forward to it. We bought a camper, there will be three of us and we are setting it up for what we want. Just ripped out the bathroom, lol. The mullein and lambs ear are different plants. Mullein is great for a number of things, but if you're going to make a tea you have to wrap it in a coffee filter , it has very fine irritating hairs that irritate the throat. Mullein also makes a great oil or tincture. Look into art journaling or junk journals also. I make both that are totally handmade and you create in them what you will. I've seen some made totally from receipts and papers that would normally be thrown away and then you write about where you are and how the sun makes you feel in the morning etc. This may be a great idea for you, look into making your own water colors from the elements you come across. There was a wonderful book about watercolor making from dried flowers, stones, charcoal, pinecones all ground and mixed. Sorry, can't remember the guys name, I got it from the library. He shows how to take different colored stones etc, grind into a pigment and mix with a binder (gum arabic)and honey. Then you can capture some vistas on paper and write about the area and what you are going through at the time. There are several watercolor creators on etsy if you don't want to make your own. Domestika has some watercolor courses you could take. I do love earth tone pigments, there is a brand out of Europe that I want, but can't find a seller here and they won't ship it. I do love being planted where I am, in the mountains of Colorado, but would enjot seeing the country. You're so blessed to have had a father and those experiences. Growing up I never went camping and then did as a twenty something before I started my career, I miss it. Loved the video
Oh my… the whole experience was like balm, then you started talking about dad memories and I was instantly transported to my camping experiences as a child in the late 60’s early 70’s. Dad fishing, cast iron pans filled with potato’s balanced on rocks in the fire…. And brook trout, just “perfect pan size” rolled in cornmeal and fried in butter…. Hot Crispy trout skin burning my fingers and tongue … for a moment I could smell the smoke and taste it again. Thank you. My Dad gone since 2005, would take any opportunity to hike a stream and throw a line.❤
As usual I'm feeling warm and fuzzy after watching your video, I have taken a few days off work so was able to watch as soon as I got the notification ❤ The way you speak of your Dad is so moving. I can't imagine losing either of my parents and I'm 36! Through your eyes, he sounds like a wonderful human. You are a daughter to be proud of ❤ Great job trying to get that fire started! It's refreshing to see you fail, and thank you for showing your disappointment as well. I can see that you were bummed but you didn't let it dictate the rest of your day. I love the authenticity here ❤ Thanks so much for another video treat, your content is inspiring ❤
Really living in the moment and not just distracting ourselves with getting thru this part of our lives . Really living! Reminds me of the Movie Edie. And yes. Really living. It's beautiful. Great way to describe it.
Love this ! Been watching for a while and it seems that what you show and say is what I needed to hear the most. Thank you so much! Wish you all the best!
Thank you for sharing another memory of your dad. I have very similar ones of camping trips, but I was called Punkin. 💜 I'm working on my van build. It's a lot slower going than I had planned, but I like to think my dad is laughing with me through all the unforeseen delays.
I turned 50 in Nov and had an aha moment! we as humans have SOOOO MANY LIFETIMES in this one lifetime! We had our kids young and now it’s our time. We just bought our first travel trailer and we’ve (the hubs and I) have so many fun plans already and we slept in it last night in our driveway! Your lifestyle has inspired me so much! I’m sorry your dad left his earth walk so abruptly, something I’m sure he wasn’t happy about either. I watched my mom die for over 5 yrs in a bed! Grief is so hard and we think we’re through it and then it slaps you and it feels brand new again! I’m holding space for you your family and your healing! ❤❤❤ Maybe next time try making your fire before your workout! It looks like a workout on its own!! Remember, we are always in constant motion if you aren’t growing and evolving your dying a slow existence ✌️
Fabulous. As someone on the 4th itération of their adult life I strongly encourage you to steer away from getting stuck in a rut. Your life will change many times and I'm sure that you will embrace them all.
17:00 😭😭💔💔 my heart . This particular topic gets my emotions every single time. I lost my dad when I was 25 years old . I had the most precious memories with him , he died young and I know exactly how it feels to lose an extraordinary parent😢I have learned so much about parenting through him and I am a mother to 3 grownup sons now . I really hope I’m as good a parent to them as my father was to me ❤Linnea we might come from 2 different worlds, but we do speak the same language of love and loss 😘😘 love all the way from Kuwait
Great video. I think I have fought against this normal so long mentally. It’s exhausting, while I see others embrace it. I do wish you good luck with your heart of a gypsy. PS Maybe your dad sent that flurry of snow, just for you, as a reminder he’s always with you..
Mullein (Verbascum) or its folk name Hag's Taper, and lamb's ear are different plants however they both have downy soft leaves which make lovely soft wipes for sensitive areas. Mullein dipped in wax makes a good torch. It is a medicinal herb used in a variety of ways. Traditionally the flowers and roots are used as a tea or decoction for lung congestion. Mullein has anti-inflammatory effects. A cream made from this plant quickly heals cuts, burns, and episiotomies. Mullein is a biennial. Lamb's Ear (Stachys Byzintina) is a low growing basal rosette with soft, velvety, sage green leaves. It is a lovely landscaping plant.
to do a bow drill you have to make sure that the spindle has same hardness as fire board, taper down the spindle on the one end to a flattish point, On the fire board make the hole But don't forget to make an air hole from where you notched it out. This method may still work if your not using a string and another stick to turn the spindle. Good luck .Nice that you and the dogs got to have an awesome get away in such a beautiful place . Your dad sounded like an awesome man you have such nice memories of him to cherish . what a beautiful video wish I was as positive as you .
There are so many health benefits attributed to the leaves of the mullen. I know my mother used to use mullen to make an antiseptic cream and she also brewed the leaves for tea to help with sore throat and associated ailments.
Wow see what you can do making your own mug and the beautiful colour green , so your on your own while Chris is off on a new adventure, and your in the wilds doing what you love, as I listen to you talk about everything , and your such a natural at the way you talk about your life the way you have lived it now, I love to see all young people get on in their lives, I truly admire you Linnea I have followed you through so many fantastic videos I really appreciate this so thanks for bringing me along through your life 👍❤
Hi Linnea! I’m Nicole, a herbalist in Washington! I’m halfway through your lovely video and wanted to give a few pointers. The mullein is different from lambs ear, but easily confused, though lambs ear doesn’t send up a stalk. The leaves of mullein should be harvested when they are fresh new growth in the beginning of the 1st or 2nd year of growth. The first year they just start making basal leaves close to the ground and the next year they send up their stalk! After that, the plants die, so quality goes down significantly.

But for me....that sounds like such a waste and really boring. Thank you for the validation and understanding! You're so much more evolved than I was at your age and I only now am catching up with you (I'm 64 😂). YAY YOU! Carry on! 💚🩵💚
I've missed you! I needed a pick me up and its so uplifting to see you doing you in an authentic way. You are such an inspiration.
Aw I'm so glad - thank you!
Linnea somehow you always capture the beauty of wherever you are. Thank you so much for these reminders of how beautiful life and what is around us can be if we choose to notice. 😸😊
Aw thank you so much!
Thanks for the video. The visuals were amazing as usual.
Such a lovely video! Thank you, Linnea. I could see your dad from the way you described him. You're such a good visual storyteller.
Thank you so much!
This is a cinematographic masterpiece. Wow. Really: Wow!
Wow thank you so much!
Loved the memory of your dad. I have very similar memories of my dad. I miss him so. You’ve inspired me to journal. And to be up with sun. Thank you for being you! And for sharing bits and pieces with all of us!❤
Aw I'm so glad - thank you!
You make me feel good! Thanks.
I'm so glad!
Thanks for aiding us to see the deep beauty around us.
The life
Thanks!
Thank you so much, Irina!
"Channeling " your memories of your Dad...goodnight Pickle.
Take care, blessed child🤗🩵
Thank you!
As usual I'm feeling warm and fuzzy after watching your video, I have taken a few days off work so was able to watch as soon as I got the notification ❤
The way you speak of your Dad is so moving. I can't imagine losing either of my parents and I'm 36! Through your eyes, he sounds like a wonderful human. You are a daughter to be proud of ❤
Great job trying to get that fire started! It's refreshing to see you fail, and thank you for showing your disappointment as well. I can see that you were bummed but you didn't let it dictate the rest of your day. I love the authenticity here ❤
Thanks so much for another video treat, your content is inspiring ❤
Beautiful landscape!!💚💚💚
Blessings!!💚💚💚
Beautiful. Thank you!
Really living in the moment and not just distracting ourselves with getting thru this part of our lives . Really living!
Reminds me of the Movie Edie.
And yes. Really living. It's beautiful.
Great way to describe it.
Yes - love that!
Beautiful story~ Loved hearing that Robin:)
Linnea! I feel like you have such a warm soul! I really enjoy your videos.
Thank you!
Love this ! Been watching for a while and it seems that what you show and say is what I needed to hear the most. Thank you so much! Wish you all the best!
Aw I'm so glad to hear it - thank you!
I love your story and narrative. You are certainly very genuine and real!- I am 67...time flys by,and you are doing it right.Nice production.
Thank you so much!
@@Linneaandakela I trust your adventures give you the very best of this thing called life/memories...in this piece of crap world.
I love akela is being a beautiful cute snuggle bug.
Thank you for sharing another memory of your dad. I have very similar ones of camping trips, but I was called Punkin. 💜 I'm working on my van build. It's a lot slower going than I had planned, but I like to think my dad is laughing with me through all the unforeseen delays.
Well said. Your thoughts in this video really resonate with me. Thank you for putting words to what I have wrestled with for so long.
I'm so glad - thank YOU!
Stunning.
Thank you
I turned 50 in Nov and had an aha moment!
we as humans have SOOOO MANY LIFETIMES in this one lifetime!
Maybe next time try making your fire before your workout! It looks like a workout on its own!!
Remember, we are always in constant motion if you aren’t growing and evolving your dying a slow existence ✌️
I gotta say I truly miss your old videos that were more like this one. So glad you had an amazing time. Hope Chris has fun, and stays safe as well.
Snow is magically beautiful.
The smoke has to get much thicker almost a milky yellow when you have a good ember so when you see smoke don't stop , keep going! ❤️
Thank you!
Loved this so much! ❤
You just need a man that over more chooses YOU!!! ❤ Always you deserve it!!!
Fabulous. As someone on the 4th itération of their adult life I strongly encourage you to steer away from getting stuck in a rut. Your life will change many times and I'm sure that you will embrace them all.
Agree!
What a gem of an episode! Great philosophizing and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thank you!
Dude yes!!! Total contentment is on the other side of no expectations. ❤
If only I had started as young as you to be in nature ❤ follow your heart.
@debberkebile4936 it's never too late to begin
@@artsteadman2230 oh I have started but wish I had more time. But I am living to the fullest right now!
I love your reflections in nature. ❤
Thank you!
Thank you
There are so many health benefits attributed to the leaves of the mullen. I know my mother used to use mullen to make an antiseptic cream and she also brewed the leaves for tea to help with sore throat and associated ailments.
really beautiful video. Thank you for sharing.
