Thank you for making me feel normal - @ 69, a single female who has felt the draw to this lifestyle for many years …. It starts for me tomorrow. I followed the rules for many years, have the custom van that fits my minimal lifestyle - I have never felt so free
70 here with teardrop trailer... seeing areas nearby right now but itching to go around all the nat'l parks, boondock and see most of the west....have trailer will travel, with kayak, fishing gear, backpacks, bicycle, golf clubs, time to see the country at my pace
You are living my dream. I wish I realized when I was younger that that way of life could be done. Following "the rules" of society, it is difficult to live fully free. I now have 2 boys and we do camp but nothing like you do. I keep saying, "one day" but the older I get, the harder it is to imagine doing it. Live you and don't let anyone tell you it isn't normal. It just isn't what society thinks is normal. I am totally happier in the quiet of nature and away from the grind and what everyone deems as "normal".
Normal is just a dryer setting. Isn't it odd that people give their opinions thinking outside validation is what needs spread around. It took me a very long time in life to learn to observe other's opinions . And trust myself. Such a beautiful spot and video.
I LOVE that saying. I’m never on normal, usually hot and ready to go. However I do have my cool times, and those are spent indoors and chilling, reading, doing something creative, or just relaxing and reenergizing. I love solitude, it keeps me sane and grounded. 🥰🙏🏽✌🏽❤️
Book: Where the Crawdads Sing. That island marsh reminded me so much of the similar setting and love of nature. It is awesome you are choosing your own life path. I am childfree by choice and you wouldn't believe the unsolicited negativity that generates. 71 and still no regrets!
Breading Sweetgrass is a must read. Johnathan Livingston Seagull is excellent. Farley Mowat’s The Boat Who wouldn’t Float and The Dog who wouldn’t Be brought my much laughter and joy!
"Travels with Charley," written by John Steinbeck. After he "retired" he travelled along America in an RV with his dog Charley. It's not a long book but he talks about the people he meets and the experiences he has while travelling. This book was written in the '60s, I think, but I love it. It's my favorite of all of his books.
just about finished reading it.. amazes me how much of what's happening today was also occurring that long ago... seems we still have lots to learn.... I loved his style of writing and how he wrote about his dog Charley....
My answer to "You're not normal." Is "I'm extraordinary." I agree, being "normal" is subjective and imo a bit boring. Keep being you. Living the good life. It's beautiful to watch. A favorite book of mine The Mists of Avalon.
The life you live isn’t normal as you said. It’s a life so idyllic and such a dream for so many and also not understandable to many others. It’s okay though. I’m so astounded that you figured out the life you wanted at such a young age and went after it. I’m almost sixty have lived a traditional existence and am now caregiver to parents in their eighties. Living a nomadic lifestyle is a dream that may or may not come true for me but I live it vicariously through you Linnea. So keep on trekking through life with gorgeous Akela and those of us who love you guys and your lifestyle will always follow along! Be safe! ❤
At 62! I decided to take the reigns of my life and doing fully nomadic life in the east coast of Australia. I hope you get to live your life in the way you want it to be
Lena C, I agree with you completely. Had i had the confidence to follow my dreams at her age, I wonder.... I am also a caregiver to an aging parent. We moved so many times when we were young, I say she raised me to be a nomad. Perhaps one day... but as you say, in the meantime, Linnea is doing it like I dream I woulda coulda shoulda. ❤Peace on your caregiving journey.
Your life may not be "normal" but that is only within the parameters set by what "society" has deemed as such. Your life is perfect for you, and THAT is the important thing. Be YOU be what makes you happy, peaceful and whole. I love watching your growth through this journey of self discovery. Never let it be controlled by those who don't understand why you do what you do.💗
I am so glad you explained your location because not being a traveler out on my own when you said a man led you to the marsh, then seeing him lead you way back in on his land, and then you said there was no service I was thinking omg so much trust. I’d be scared out of my mind. I’d still have my fears if it were me. Im so glad you had a nice relaxing stay though
Book: Boys in the Boat!!! I grew up in Seattle and rowed for the UW but non rowers love the book also :) Your life is not normal, I've never had anyone say that to me. Everyone I've met and know have all just been in awe that I chose to move into a van in my late 40's. I can't wait to dial up my adventures once I can stop worrying so much about the financials. Thank you for taking us on this fun camping trip!!!! You are such a big part of my life on the road. Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything!!!!!
We have traveled the island areas of South Carolina. The memories we have of being there are absolutely incredible. Also, about ten years ago (I'm almost 70 now), I was into traveling alone. My husband was understanding and supportive even though he enjoyed traveling as much as I did. What surprised me is how freaked out my female friends were at the idea that I drove from southern Illinois to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and stayed in a cabin on the shore of Lake Superior all by myself. It was one of the most relaxing wonderful experiences ever. It just takes listening to your intuition, as you have said, and a bit of common sense. I also truly believe that if we put kindness out into the Universe, we get kindness back. I love following your adventures.
I love that your husband was so supportive! I just turned 61, and would love to do the van life. My husband is about 4 years younger and is not yet ready. He has to travel so much for work…pretty much 2-3 weeks out of every month. Some day I’m praying!
You ladies give me hope! Thank you both for being so open about your desires & your experience with your spouse. I am 49 & have been married for 20 years. Our children are finally out of the house & I've been following & obsessed with this lifestyle for two years now. If it were up to me we'd sell everything today, hit the road tomorrow & never look back! However, my husband isn't onboard with that. I guess it's the position that men have to be the provider & the protector & having worked his entire life to build & have a safe, beautiful, secure home that all of our children can come back to should they ever need/want to, is what is important to him & I completely understand & respect that. He has worked all of these years to build our business & create a reputation & a foundation that just giving it all up in the blink of an eye isn't logical thinking to him. I know that he would support me if & when I choose to hit the road. I know that he would also take extended trips with me but I just want to pack it ALL up & go ALL in! Lol. I've already got him looking at vans & skoolies 🤭🫣 so perhaps my dream is a bit closer than I think. Again, thank you ladies for your comments. It really is an inspiration & so are you! 🥰 Maybe we'll cross paths on the open road soon.
@@paige6028 I too would sell everything in a heartbeat to hit the road! I have to stop myself from feeling depressed thinking I’m wasting my life waiting for that day, knowing I married my husband “for better or worse”. I love him dearly & I he treats me like his queen. I guess after almost 30 years of giving myself to my husband & daughters, I want to be selfish. Lord willing, I will see that day come.
@@tammydemis7851 Oh, I feel as though I have met my best friend! 🥰 Yes, how blessed we are to have such extraordinary husbands! 🙏 As most women do, we have always sacrificed our own wants & needs to make sure everyone around us is happy & well. Perhaps we should put ourselves first after years of devotion, loyalty, sacrificing, nursing, cooking, teaching, crying, laughing, making memories, dreaming of the "if only's" & the "what ifs", always keeping them quiet & tucked away. Would that be selfish after continuously putting ourselves on the back burner for so long!? I think not. We've never known where we could've ended up if only we had run with our dreams. We never became who we may have been had we fulfilled that yearning within us! These things do not make us selfish. In fact, quite the opposite. We have suppressed our own dreams to nurture the dreams & desires of those we love most, & perhaps it is now our time. I imagine loading up my self-converted skoolie or van with only 10 days worth of clothing, basic staples of food & survival, hitting the road with my only destination in sight being to pick you up then heading to one of the many beautiful national parks that I've watched as someone else's backdrop a thousand times before & just sit in awe, becoming one with our surroundings. Repeating this daily & never growing tired of each new destination. Maybe we'll stop in each small town that connects these beautiful wonders, & drop a postcard to our loved ones, letting them know how we're doing & that we're safe. Telling stories to one another of our family & most cherished memories while feeling we've known one another our entire lives. Imagine the thousand shades of pink & orange as we watch each majestic sunrise & equally breathtaking sunsets. In the distance a rock formation that no one can explain peaking just over the horizon as the sun & moon are perfectly set as our alarm. The billion stars hovering over us in the darkest of nights as we appear just as small to them as they do to us. The air, so crisp & clear as we drift away dreaming of the next adventure. Perhaps our dream will soon become a reality. Until then, keep dreaming my friend. 🥰🙏
@@paige6028 I think God brought you here for a reason! How awesome it is to meet someone with the same thoughts and dreams as I. You seem to know exactly what is in my heart and the turmoil in my brain that I put myself through. 🤗🙏🏻Praying someday (soon) God will answer our prayers and we will be heading to our first destination together! 💗
“Quiet” by Susan Cain was life changing for me. I used to think I had social anxiety but this book opened my eyes to introversion. It was definitely a light bulb 💡 experience for me.
This sounds like something I need! I rarely mingle with other people due to my social anxiety. I go weeks, even months without speaking to or seeing another human except for my husband. I know the longer I go without interaction the worse it gets but I truly have no desire to be amongst other people. Introvert is putting it lightly...& what's crazy is I used to be THE biggest social butterfly! I lost trust in ALL humans, nestled into this life & my comfort zone, & haven't looked back or thought twice about it. Until now. Now that I'm getting older & realize just how short life really is. Thank you for the suggestion. Headed over to download now. 🥰
I read this book as well. I first saw Susan Cain on Ted Talks and when she said that on all of her report cards the teacher would always remark at how they wished she would talk more. While going through my parents house I found my report cards and I felt like, "I'm not the only one"! I realized I was not the only quiet person in the world. I have never felt comfortable doing small talk. I am comfortable talking with friends, I can get in front of a crowd and talk but I am still quiet and like my alone time.
I think your doing what you want to because, this life suits you so well, and if I were younger and not disabled, I would love to try your lifestyle out, but I am not, but saying that I share your life through watching you, and I can understand why you love this so much, just be careful ok and love everything you share through your video blogs so thank you so much for that ❤
Don't let anybody tell you that you are not normal, everyone live different lives. if you love what you do then you are living the best life for you... as long as you are happy. that is all that you need, make the best of this life, thank you for taking us with you.
I just watched your video, I have followed you for several years, but I don’t always watch everything you post. Tonight, your header caught my attention. I have always admired your courage and your willingness to put yourself out there. I am a woman of a senior age and have done some of that, although most of my life has been pretty traditional I always like to dream and do what many think is “crazy”. When I was young, I was the first women in the state of California to “sell cars”. I know that seems so crazy now because every time I set foot on a car lot there are women selling cars but let me tell you back in the 70’s that was NOT a thing! I had a really hard time getting that first job and convincing someone I could do it! And I excelled! I have marched to the beat of different drum since my birth, really! My mother always told me I was born walking and talking! I have had a wonderful mostly (what I would consider) traditionally life and now my husband and I are embarking on part time van life. We have two small modest homes in two different regions of the country and plan to use our van to explore the vast country we call ours using each home as our base. Tonight, your video brought tears to my eyes when you commented on negative things people have posted. I am here to tell you; don’t listen to a thing they say! You do your thing and life will give back in spades. I am so bolstered to see how women and girls have taken this life into their own hands. For years I was involved with an international high school exchange program and the girls outnumbered the boys almost 10 to 1. So, maybe I was born a little too early or maybe I paved the road in some ways to give women and girls the courage to move forward, either way, you are doing the same thing. Don’t ever second guess your decision to be you!
I signed up with Harvest Hosts. One fee for the year and there are so many great places to stay. I'm going to Michigan in July and couldn't find any camping so I'm staying at a Winery and Alpaca farm.
Oh, I love Charleston SC. I lived there for six years back in the late 80's early 90's. I lived on the Isle of Palms for a year and then moved downtown to an old carriage house. I hope you get to explore downtown some, especially Market St and all the vendors. Great food everywhere! Lol!!
My brother owns a hip camp in Ft Klamath, Oregon, very close to Crater Lake National Park! It’s extra special because we grew up on the same piece of land, someone else bought it, and then he just recently bought it back when it randomly came up for sale. I love that so many people with beautiful places can share them with others 💚
Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Kinmerer, this book was a big influence when I first started out last summer taking extended trips, and I often think of it on the road. ‘all flourishing is mutual…’
Hey. 4am and for some reason I’m WIDE awake 😄 Hunni- LIFE is meant to be lived. And whether it’s a camper, a van a cabin or a house … being happy and content with the you that you are is living life ♥️. Don’t pay no never mind to others wondering why you do what you do. It’s THE life for sure. That sunrise you talk so often about wakes me every morning RIGHT in my face 🥰♥️ I’ll never go back to living any other way 👍
Best read ever Cold Mountain by Charles Frazier has so much. Amazing writing, a little history. Tragedy. I know they made it a movie, but the novel is so well written it takes you away.
The Oregon Trail By Rinker Buck...he travels the Oregon Trail in modern times with a real mule team. It is quite the journey! Didn't want that book to end for sure...you'd LOVE it!
The Prince of Tides. I’ve never cried so hard in my whole life while reading the end of that book. It’s not new but it’s wonderful and very appropriate while you are in South Carolina.
Oh my gosh Akela is just such a sweet girl! My heart was so happy when she gave you her paw and stared at you. I watched this while cuddling my own pup - truly such special creatures 🐕
So I don't live in the marsh but I live in upstate NY and there's berries Rivers and plants similar and most the time I just want to get away from it like move back to for other areas but for some reason watching your video just made me appreciate where I am that much more thank you I hope you stay safe and enjoy or enjoyed I honestly didn't look to see when this was filmed😂
You have brought me peace today when I needed it the most in a long while. I will be watching you, and I thank you. Wishing you wonderful places to stay
Thanks for taking us along. Many enjoying living through you. Esp someone who may be physically unable to have venture of their own. You share the love of nature! Safe traveling for you both🐾🐾👣
Hi friend. I live in the type of environment you are staying in during this video. I wanted to say it is best to remove all pine needles away from the source of fire. It can spread fast so always clear an area around your fire. Also, when you are burning pine the heat will cause the sap inside to pop and shoot out embers, so move away the pine needles for that reason also. Not a large area just a good fire break around the fire. have fun on your journey and thanks for taking us along.
Watching with my earbuds on and I absolutely LOVED hearing all the wildlife so close to my ears thank you for sharing that with me and I am always so inspired to hit the road and find my own version of freedom.
I just finished The Salt Path. So good! Refuge and When Women Were Birds by Terry Tempest Williams are two of my all time faves and her book off essays An Unspoken Hunger changed everything for me.
Girl! I promise when i saw the road I knew the area! I'm a SC girl and love the low country (as we call it) I don't know which island you were on, but love the area. Its so different from the rest of the state. Not stalking, just agreeing with you ❤ Love your videos.
That is one happy shep! It's so good to see you 2 out and about. Your life is yours, and you're living it your way! Those of us who are aware get it completely. If you're happy, that's all that matters. Hugs to you and Akela!!!
What a beautiful idyllic spot you found the sounds of nature providing the backing track to your time there just perfect and to be able to be one with nature ❤❤
I love this but my favorite part could have been when you said "that guy is running in thong sandals". I say this because I grew up calling them thongs and then one day younger people looked at me like I was crazy and thought I was talking about underwear :-) Thanks for the validation. And I just ADORE Akela
Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer! 🌿💛 ”As a botanist, Robin Wall Kimmerer has been trained to ask questions of nature with the tools of science. As a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, she embraces the notion that plants and animals are our oldest teachers. In Braiding Sweetgrass, Kimmerer brings these lenses of knowledge together to show that the awakening of a wider ecological consciousness requires the acknowledgment and celebration of our reciprocal relationship with the rest of the living world. For only when we can hear the languages of other beings are we capable of understanding the generosity of the earth, and learning to give our own gifts in return.”
Just joined your channel and your chat earlier resonated with me. I live in Dublin Ireland and am thinking of trying vanlife for weekends to see if I like it. Such a lovely scene. 🍀🍀💚💚😺😺🍀🍀
"Prodigal Summer" by Barbara Kingsolver. Fiction but with a bit of natural history and thoughtful perspective on the balance between wildlife and the environment and people. One of my favorites. Love your videos Linnea!
Barbara Kingsolver is my favorite author, and Flight Behavior and Unsheltered both offer really insightful looks at modern society, the way things do and don't change, and the ways we succeed and fail at understanding each other. But for books that have made the greatest impact on my life (in general, not just Barbara Kingsolver's!), I'd have to submit Animal, Vegetable, Miracle; it completely changed the way I think about food, and I think it would really resonate both with Linnea and people who enjoy this channel!
So you were in my neck of the woods…finally! Yes, don’t blame you a BIT for picking those blackberries!! So much wonderful fruit!! Still watching, I super curious where you are! Low country SC? Or near the Gullah? All of it is super amazing! ❤️🤍❤️🤍
Oh im so jealous lol. Being from SC, I love the low country. I was trying to figure out what island you were on. Id love to find this place. I'm really glad you enjoyed the marsh. Linea normal is just a thing that people bring up to justify their life to anything different. Ive been called crazy, not normal for the past year and half. Ever since I sold 99%of my belongings and moved into my SUV. Others perception of what normal is doesn't define my life or yours either. I'm not letting anyone judge me by the chapter they happened to walk in on. My story is not finished. I hope you enjoy Charleston. There is so much history there. Some good some not so much, but its beautiful. Rainbow row is gorgeous. Take care. Hugs to Akiela 😊
Thanks Linnea for showing us your great appreciation of Mother Nature 🌻😄🌺💚🌱🌿🌳 Great book - The Choice - Embrace the Possible by Dr. Edith Eva Eger ❤️❣❤️
Dude, this was my favorite video so far thank you for being so open and sharing and being vulnerable. your lifestyle is amazing and my dear, YOU inspire me as I'm sure you do many. I currently live in an off-grid tiny home in the woods, then life is something I see in my future but for now I am quite cozy here in my tiny cabin. I love this lifestyle and I'm so grateful for the many changes and perspectives it has brought me. there are so many ways to live life and you just have to do what feels right for you in your heart space. I'm so glad you mentioned the cost of campgrounds and low income families who may not be able to afford it, we live in communities and places that are meant for the community should be accessible to everyone. On a different note when you first mentioned Mother of God, it may have been in your last video I ordered it right away!! thanks for that recommendation I love hearing about new books that other people are loving;I haven't started reading it yet because I am reading a book called Outsider by Brett Popplewell I'm only a quarter of the way in but it is 10/10 it's a true story and you're going to love it I won't say anything else; I totally understand when you talked about how you want to read your book but you don't because you don't want it to end... man those are the good ones hey?!! I also just purchased into the wild which I think is also going to be really good libraries are my favorite places to go though ☀️ I'm going to skim through all of the comments and make a list of books thanks for asking people to post this is awesome!! live your life and have some fun dude and again thanks for letting us have a glimpse into your life and lifestyle and the inspiration 🌅☀️✌️
I think this is one of my favorite videos that you have done! Thank you for sharing why you love this place and why it’s important for everyone to find their own comfort!💕
I love your “weird” life. You inspire me to see a different way to live and to be. I also love that you brought up the video about your trip alone in the woods. That was the video that got me into watching your channel. It was what I needed to hear at that time in my life. I’m currently not in a place in my life to do something like van life. So so thankful that I can live vicariously through yours and experience really cool things and places. Thanks again for your videos. They are amazing and so are you. 😁
I wish i lived your life, i dont mind not having an outhouse i am use to roughing it and having my own time, I live alone with my dog. My favorite book and author is Farley mowat "The Out Port People" a true story. as all his books are . And "The Dog Who wouldnt Be" awesome video Linnea. Ontario, Canada.
A beautiful haven. Enjoying the bird sounds, the book recommendation and the feeling of peace. Have traveled to extraordinary places my life. Now old, I find beauty and peace in my much, much smaller area. Thank for letting me travel with you❤
If by chance you're headed towards NC, our property is available to camp & fish on. You're more than welcome to stay as long as you would like to. 🌳 🐟 🏕️ 🥾 ⛺ 🦌 🌿
As a full time nomad I use Hipcamp a lot. Particularly when I want to stay close to family in the midwest, Hip camp is really useful. I recently found the cutest organic berry farm to stay on for 5 dollars a night. I also use the dyrt a lot as well.
I know this is an older video, so I don't know if you will see this comment, but I am one of your followers who a couple months ago started at the beginning of your videos and have been working my way through them all chronologically. I absolutely love watching! I wanted to share my favorite book with you. The Blue Castle by L.M. Montgomery. Oh man. I love that book! I hope you see this comment and add it to your list.
Thankyou 😊miss you have been through all your video's some a couple never gets old I get so much joy and peace watching you live your exciting life ❤❤❤YOU GET IT!!!!! Love and Gratitude!!
The River of Doubt by Candace Mallard. Also set in the Amazon. It is written like no other book I have read, with a combination of historical news articles, personal journals and narratives about FDR’s exploration of the Amazon.
Hello I don't know if you're still in the same area cuz I haven't finish watching your show..... but you should always turn your van around and pointed to the way you want to drive out, just in case the marsh or ground gets a little bit muddy where you're at so you can leave if you have to without turning around so you don't get stuck.... I care a lot by myself and have woke up the next morning with my truck tires buried.....😉
I live on a small island just outside the city of Charleston and I swear the beginning of the video looked like you were traveling on my road!!!! Even the wildlife sounds seemed like you were near my house! 🥰
I loved "Where the Crawdads Sing". My grand daughter & I saw the movie and loved it. I was tellingmy daughter about it and she said she had the book. LOL! So I read the book and loved it even more than the movie.
Good books: What We Fed to the Manticore by Talia Lakshmi Kolluri. Stories from animal POV which might sound weird but is very well done and sad because there is human influence on the animals’ lives. Moon of the Crusted Snow by Waubgeshig Rice is excellent, and there is a sequel coming this fall. Canadian Indigenous story but very relevant for all people.
I truly love your videos, the whole essence of them. Your energy, presence, videography, the music, the bloopers, all so wonderful. I'm always happy when I see you in my notifications. Thank you 🙏🏽 💜😊

Just about everyone.... we see...every day .... are NOT serial killers. It's easy to fall into that mindset.
@@plutoplattersexactly! We are being conditioned to live in fear. No thanks!
Your soft voice and the birds and nature sounds almost put me to sleep.
Book: Boys in the Boat!!! I grew up in Seattle and rowed for the UW but non rowers love the book also :)
Your life is not normal, I've never had anyone say that to me.
Loved it, I learned so much about myself, highly recommend
I have this one on my shelf waiting to be read! Can’t wait
@@aknudsen93 same thing here
I think your doing what you want to because, this life suits you so well, and if I were younger and not disabled, I would love to try your lifestyle out, but I am not, but saying that I share your life through watching you, and I can understand why you love this so much, just be careful ok and love everything you share through your video blogs so thank you so much for that ❤
Don't let anybody tell you that you are not normal, everyone live different lives. if you love what you do then you are living the best life for you... as long as you are happy. that is all that you need, make the best of this life, thank you for taking us with you.
I hope you have beautiful weather for your trip to my home state! The lakes are wonderful ❤❤
At this stage in my life I really enjoyed, “Two Old Women”, a story of survival.
Oh, I love Charleston SC. I lived there for six years back in the late 80's early 90's. I lived on the Isle of Palms for a year and then moved downtown to an old carriage house. I hope you get to explore downtown some, especially Market St and all the vendors. Great food everywhere! Lol!!
You are so much brave than me. Love your videos.
What an awesome random adventure. Thanks for the video
Thank you for sharing your story… I don’t know why but I’m crying. I want a life like this.
Nice we love kind people showing us some solid deep woods spots.
You're living many of our dreams. Don't give up your dreams. Blessings !
I’m reading a new book by Charles Frazier, The Trackers. Early in, it too is very good.
Also, Nightwoods by Charles Frazier.
I really Loved Reading " The Four Agreements" it was a wonderful book ❤
The Oregon Trail By Rinker Buck...he travels the Oregon Trail in modern times with a real mule team. It is quite the journey! Didn't want that book to end for sure...you'd LOVE it!
Oh, Linnea....I am in envy of where you are in life! You go girl!
The Prince of Tides. I’ve never cried so hard in my whole life while reading the end of that book. It’s not new but it’s wonderful and very appropriate while you are in South Carolina.
Anthony Bourdain Kitchen Confidential. I have read this book many times. It is that good.
Born to run, Alone on the wall, Beyond Possible, Wild, Walking the Amazon are some of my favorites so far.
The Lovely Bones was a favorite for me. How magical to see you enjoy this lovely space in nature.
Love this video, your channel is like therapy ❤
absolutely wonderful..... you've inspired me... thank you for that...💜
At 58 years old I’m just starting working out what live is about . Thank you ,watching you has kick started living my life.
My family loves Charleston, and I hope you do too. THANK YOU for sharing your life with us.
Thank you. Going to check them out now.
What an amazing brave young lady you are. So inspirational. Thank you for sharing your story.
I think you would like Wild, From Lost to Found on the Pacific Coast Trail by Cheryl Strayed. 🤗
The Earth Childrens series by Jean Auel.
I read the first 3 books about every other year!
These books made me want to explore the wilderness, to camp and canoe in my beautiful area in Quebec at the border of Ontario,Canada
Congrats on your read glad u enjoyed it. My favorite book is Hemingway The old man and the sea.
Love your channel thankyou for sharing your life!❤
Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer!
Background sounds (music to my ears) at the marsh were sooo restful!! Thanks for taking me w/u. 😊
@@kmburkezoo Agreed!
Soul of an Octopus by Sy Montgomery. Nonfiction that reads like fiction. Soooo good!
You are very inspiring, not just for young ladies but all people. Have a dream, and make it work.
Thanks Linnea for showing us your great appreciation of Mother Nature 🌻😄🌺💚🌱🌿🌳
Great book - The Choice - Embrace the Possible by Dr.

All about treo. - my favourite book.
Cuddling my cat watching you...thats my happy spot.
As a full time nomad I use Hipcamp a lot. Particularly when I want to stay close to family in the midwest, Hip camp is really useful. I recently found the cutest organic berry farm to stay on for 5 dollars a night. I also use the dyrt a lot as well.
One of the best videos I’ve seen. Thanks!
Being from Wisconsin, you’ve probably already read it. But I recommend reading “Aldo Leopold, his life and work” by Curt Meine.
Aw welcome, and thank you for sharing! I'll take a peek.
Love this, and thank you for reminding me what’s important 😊❤…continue to stay safe and enjoy your time.🎉

Enjoyed your time in the marsh. It was so beautiful.
I care a lot by myself and have woke up the next morning with my truck tires buried.....😉
love to hear the sounds of south carolina in your video, sounds like home to me
I live on a small island just outside the city of Charleston and I swear the beginning of the video looked like you were traveling on my road!!!! Even the wildlife sounds seemed like you were near my house! 🥰
Where the Crawdads Sing would be relevant to your location! Also a land remembered!
"Les Misérables" my utmost favorite. Am sure You will love it also. tyI think you are valiant woman. much respect, peace be with you, all the days.
I loved "Where the Crawdads Sing". My grand daughter & I saw the movie and loved it. I was tellingmy daughter about it and she said she had the book. LOL! So I read the book and loved it even more than the movie.
The mists of Avalon is a long but amazing read
A few books I really enjoyed..."Siddhartha", "The Alchemist", and "The Untethered Soul"
What you do is fearless. You both are amazing😊
Guns, Germs and Steel by Jared Diamond is my favorite nonfiction book. It talks about how societies develop and I think about it ALL the time
Good books: What We Fed to the Manticore by Talia Lakshmi Kolluri. Stories from animal POV which might sound weird but is very well done and sad because there is human influence on the animals’ lives. Moon of the Crusted Snow by Waubgeshig Rice is excellent, and there is a sequel coming this fall. Canadian Indigenous story but very relevant for all people.
Who the hell wants to be normal? Life is short - and awesome - just live it!! 🙌❤🌿
A walk in the woods by Bill Bryson. Touching and funny, a journey hiking the Appalachian trail. Great read. 😊
YAS!!! Great book. Bryson is the best!
