I still love the old school Calvin Klein perfumes too. Amazing and long lasting. They are perfect! Love This video.

Calvin Klein has a lot of great fragrances, including their CK One line. CKIN2U for her is one of my favorites.
I just recently ordered a bottle of Escape to relive that fragrance, either they changed it or it was counterfeit, but it was awful

I knew it was going to be Libre. It is the best release that I’ve smelled too. Givenchy Linterdit is a pretty nice line too. Mon Guerlain is going to be a classic too.

Hello! I love timeless/classic perfumes. I am pretty sure when I smell a vintage perfume, it either reminds me of my mom, a favorite teacher, Avon or whatever, from when I was a kid; I’ve been collecting a few every now and then. Thanks for another great video,

Alien has been my fav perfume EVER since it came out. The new formulation doesn't last as much but I still adore it.
Also Tocade has my heart for many years.

Oh, Sarah, I love this modern classic list! We all know the older classics so nice to see updated choices. I ADORE Stella, just like you! It is my absolute favorite of all time. I need to get Libre, based on your feelings, maybe Intense version? Many thanks!❤️🌹
Both Libre and Libre Intense are stunning but when someone asks which they should get, I always recommend the Intense version. Usually more potent and longer lasting so the Intense is almost always the better choice. I personally own both but I'm also a fragrance collector and have nearly 100 fragrances in my collection. I love the Libre line. I'm getting the eau de toilette version when it gets warmer out. It is perfect for the Summer.
Hi Julie! I love both the EDP as well as the Intense. The Intense version is a bit more smooth.
I agree, the intense is my favorite (I actually like the edt second best especially in warmer weather) and like they said the intense is smoother and richer

My Pink Sugar has been getting a lot of use lately... i have been using it as my bedtime scent like very single night.. or like a day-lounge-day-off kinda scent.. perfect for the season!

Hi! I love classic perfumes,too! I'm 51 and since I was a teenager I've never stopped wearing Rive Gauche YSL, and White Linen EL. I've got more than 50 perfumes in my collection but these two......Oh, and I hate Alien and all its flankers(sorry!)

Lancomes Poeme is a timeless classic one for me

Absolutely love this video, and it feels like you had a chance to put your history brain and your perfume brain together just a bit :-) so wonderful! Only a true fragrance expert possibly could’ve had the know how to make this one! By the way, speaking of pink sugar, have you had a chance to try out pink sugar creamy sunshine? I guess it was released last year and I’m now very curious about it.

Hi Sarah, I love Chloe, Dior Addict, Alien, and Chanel No. 5 and No.5 l’eau that I just picked up. I don’t have Chance but I have smelled it and like it. I want to pick up Coco Chanel, which some may say is a mature scent but I love it! My favourite of the Light Blue flankers is Love is Love. Amazing Grace and Pure Grace are some of my favourites! Awe Charlotte! Love her facial expressions! 💕

I agree that Libre is one of the best designer fragrances, I wear the original in warmer climate, and I will have to try the intense, it probably will be beautiful for the cooler months!! 😘💜💕

I have Ralph in my collection right now! I've had it for quite a long time but I don't wear it anymore. Down to the last bit. I think it's evaporated somehow. So beautifully sweet!!!!
Hi Sarah! I love classic perfumes that can stand the test of time ,I'm still I love with Angel and pink sugar they will always be a loooove of mine . I'd take a classic over any of these new ones any day IMO ☺️ and the last on the skin and in the bottle a bit longer too! They were well made 😉 tfs 🙏🏼

Hold so are you 42? I am and when you said you where twelve in 1991 I was like me too!! Now I want to get my hands on that Calvin cline perfume so it can take me back!! Love when you talk about the older perfumes from our childhood!!❤️
Also, I have light blue, I bought it from a Walgreens here so don’t know how long it had been there, but it lasts and projects all day for me, like all day and everyone can smell it. I always here people say it never lasts, so not sure if I have a older formulation or what. 🤷♀️
Yeah I'm 41. Born in 80 and I love the old ones I will always have a bottle of CK1, eternity,tommy girl,hugo boss,and I've searched everywhere for ghost myst perfume bc my mom always bought me that and I miss it.
You must have gotten an older bottle! Treasure it because the new formulations are not good. 🥰❤️

Love these classics! I wear almost all of them- just can’t do Escape but my sister loves it😂. I still wear CK Obsession, White Diamonds (used to hate this but now I love layering with it), Bright Crystal is getting old enough to be in this list? Just started wearing Tabu (mixed with vanillas and sweeter lighter frags), Euphoria might also fit in this list? Anyhoo love the classics along with the new… like the old song “make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and the other’s gold!”
I layer White Diamonds with Cloud,, yeah.. using up my bottle of Cloud in the best way possible

True about J'adore. J'adore on my skin is nothing special but on my Mom's skin it's magic.
Every person i had smell Alien in the past, when i had it, told me it was stinky. It was way too much. Alien can make some ppl feel sick, its just too much. 🤢 and Libre has too much lavender in it for me. Lavender always reminds me of laundry soap or fabric softener or air freshner. 🤔

Hi Sarah. Some smoke alarms will go off randomly if their batteries are low. Try putting new batteries in them. It should take care of the problem.

Hi there! I love l’amour and I think I got about 5 hours out of it. It’s not the worst but not the best either but I love how it smells. 🥰❤️
It is the only perfume in my collection I have been able to finish. I used to wear it to bed and I loved it but I will not be re-buying anyway because there are so many perfumes to try.
Oldies but goodies all- what’s not to love? They’re timeless and still wearable😊. Is Stella really hard to find? Too bad-I have the edt and the edp-such an easy reach.
Sadly it has gotten very hard to find. I have them both too and will cherish them. 😭

I have the angel edp and I have a perfect scent inspired angel scent. I prefer wearing the perfect scent one bc it's more wearable for where I live. So I feel like the edt would be my preference as well. The perfect scent one is light and airy

What version of Tocade do you have? I’m thinking of getting a bottle but not sure if I should go for the 1994 or 2018 formulation.
Hi Jaime! I have the 2018. It’s really nice and performs well. It probably doesn’t compare to the original but I don’t think it’s been butchered. 🥰❤️
Tocade for me feels like it is made of pheromones. Like those mystical perfumes, a man can not withstand. There is no other perfume that does the same to me. I do not want to write too much details because this is UA-cam but i believe everybody understands what i mean with that. It is almost magical. And this goes for almost all men i know. Everybody reacts the same way, if a woman uses Tocade. It seems a lot of men almost loose their mind with this perfume. I am not kidding. And it is the same with men of all ages. 🙂

Similar to Passion, Elizabeth Taylor, I have read a few similar comments from men about Obsession, I could never wear obsession, far too dark and strong for me, but now I will check out Tocade! 😎
Well, Tocade is one of my all Time favorites. I started wearing it aged 19. This guy I had a crush on asked me, in a kind of mean way, what granny perfume I was wearing.... 😑
@@lilyjane1011 so strange it’s smells like vanilla and roses, a bit gourmet. Nothing aldehydic or vintage scank or carnation or vintage spicy ambers or other typical notes from that era… There are many niche houses who are trying to emulate vintage masterpieces and not always succeeding. That guy just doesn’t know what is a good perfume. I swear he is using some boring hyped low quality sheit.
I was wondering if you've ever tested Oxygene by Lanvin or Poeme by Lancome? Along with Poison I think they're the most interesting perfumes in my collection but they don't get much love as they're vintage. My nose just seems to like the sweetness in older perfumes as I rarely like new scents!

@@SarahMayes I read that Poeme is being discontinued which sucks! I'm obsessed with Oxygene but it's very unique so probably a love or hate scent. I haven't filmed a Poeme review yet but I have a quick Oxygene one one youtube.... just hoping younger people might discover it and help keep the demand up so it doesn't also get discontinued!

Angel is a beautiful scent. When I was in my 30’s I couldn’t stand it. There was a coworker who that was her signature scent but she over sprayed so I couldn’t I’ve it at the time. I had given her one that I had bought, but now… that I’m in my 5’s, I love it if u wear it right.

I hated Alien when it first came out, it was just to polarizing. Today I like it a lot😊

I've tried most of these. The only one I really dont like is YSL Libre.
How do you feel about Lancome Tresor? I was shocked to see my dept store no longer carries Lancome😔.

Hi Sarah I loved your video, but you didn't mention Opium the classic wich is far better than the actual one. Opium in the Brown botle. Love Odilka from the Republic of Panama.

I love philosophy Baby Grace and Falling in love. I have found the original versions and are way better than the “water of the water of cologne” we get from the new line.
Yes! Falling in Love is an old signature of mine from the mid 00's and it used to be so strong and long lasting. I would love to find an old bottle again. ❤️

Chloe is a real love
It's the cold menthol vibe that I dislike in Alien. It lacks warmth and it's very unnatural and "alien" like...I wish I got my nose on original Stella, I have the current one but don't like it so much. I have Miss Charming by Juliette has a Gun and have heard that it s pretty close to Stella, have you tried that? Your daughter is sooo cute btw!
To this great list I would add Dior Dolce Vita and Dune😁greetings

Missing: L de Loewe (pre-reformulation and pre-boring basic bottle), Eau de Rochas and Courreges. The classics in northern spain.
The philosophy is my fifth bottle I think fifth or six bottle ever since I've used to Window Shop because I didn't have enough money to go in Sephora and I smelled it for the first time I saved all my money I remember buying it and ever since when I bought it I bought the body wash over the years and decades this is like my bottle and it is still an amazing smell I can spray it all over my body everybody gives me compliments philosophy is the best perfume ever

Sis which reputable businesses can i purchase CK Escape parfum (for women) …? Ty………..Cz I’ve purchased 2 bottles recently and they DO NOT last long like the ones I’ve bought (1995-2005)………..it seemed “watered down” now….cz color is lighter & scent is weaker……

Love so many of those, but unfortunately, I'm in the " hate Escape camp", I just don't get what you've described, I wonder if I have a rancid bottle, because smells like rotten fruit to me! Sarah, check your smoke detector batteries, same thing happened to ours when the batteries started to go weak, we switched to new ones and it stopped doing that.
Yes! The people who hate Escape usually get the rotten fruit vibe. I definitely understand! Thankfully I don't get that but I can see it. So, the batteries are good! It just lost its mind for a minute. It hasn't happened again so it was some sort of malfunction? ❤️
Smoke alarms go off when the batteries are low and need to be replaced
Lol, I mean no offense, but I actually think Alien does smell like grape juice. Like a grape juice box that's been left in your car and has gone bad. Lol, why I'm personally not a fan. Ha!!

Double check if your smoke detector is also a carbon monoxide detector.
Hi Tara! The Carbon Monoxide detector is a couple of feet from the smoke detector and separate. I thought the same thing at first. ❤️🥰

I own & love several on your list. However, Calvin Klein Escape is the worst smelling cologne I've ever smelled. I cannot stand it on myself or anyone else. Don't know how it has lasted this long.
