To me, Lalique Le Parfum is a true masterful olfactive creation: elegant, elevated, nuanced, unique yet wearable. I don't think I've ever walked by that fragrance and not stopped to smell the atomizer. Rare Tiffany goes everywhere with me in the hotter months. A mate smelt it on me and asked if it was from Creed. Girl, Creed wishes. I'm trying to not add anymore vanilla frags for awhile; but I'm going to pick up Tocade...there really is no such thing as too much vanilla anyway. Great vid as usual, Veronica!!!

So many very expensive perfumes smell cheap! Remember that the same perfume noses have composed the inexpensive perfumes and many of them are fantastic!

I love “cheapies” and probably 3/4 of my collection has been under $50. I haven’t smelled some of these, yay! Some new ideas! Fresh cream warm cashmere, quatre (the original though the absolute has me curious and now the en rose) and Majestic woods are the only ones I have.
@@VeronicaSays for sure! Like you said there is a variety in quality among all price ranges. Perfume is one of the few categories where I feel like price doesn’t mean nearly as much. The “you get what you pay for” doesn’t apply as much in fragrance.

Yes, Majestic Woods is a terrific fragrance and it layers beautifully. I've been layering it with Jennifer Lopez Still, another great, low budget fragrance. And they last! My other favourite, low budget fragrance is Mt Blanc Signature for Her. It's a gorgeous orange blossom musk worth niche prices. Perfect for sweater weather.
Because I want to try so many new smells, affordable is right up my alley for experiments. Years ago, I loved Tommy Girl by Tommy Hilfiger and Lucky You by Lucky. They're still in the affordable range and are easy reaches/everyday jeans scents. My newest additions, carefully curated and blind buys are Beachscapes by Jennifer Aniston, Anais Anais by Cacharel, Glow by Jennifer Lopez, Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker and Shock for Her by Calvin Klein. I adore all of them. Not one second of regret and make me crave more.

I think I got my 30ml bottle for about £15 😁 I would add Trussardi Donna and Burberry Brit Rhythm to your list. Another affordable gem from Rochas is Byzance (new one, vintage byzance is far from affordable category now😄). Tocade, Cavalli and Lalique are my forever love♥️♥️♥️♥️thank you for mentioning them!
I have worn Bath & Body Works cucumber & melon body spray ($14.95, I think?) and gotten repeated compliments from the same handsome guy. It isn't about the price point at all. Wear what makes you feel confident and pretty. Also, don't forget the classic scents like Estee Lauder's White Linen EDP...available for less than $50.00 on discount sites. That one never gets old, it is so fresh and clean smelling.
Lalique Le perfume smelled lovely from the atomizer but sadly on my skin smelt like plastic bug spray. So I suspect, looking at other reviews, this fragrance is made or broken by ones skin chemistry. Personally my favorite "cheapie" vanilla/tonka based fragrance is Joop le Bain. It is a beautiful Tonka bomb, with hints of cherry. I'm glad you mentioned it!! But my most complimented cheapie has been Shaghaf Oud by Swiss Arabian. You need to like sweet fragrances and the oud is slightly synthetic but it really is beautiful, fun yet grown and romantic. Great for Valentine's day. 🙂

I will always associate Quatre with you and your channel Veronica! I bought it shortly after you did I believe, on your recommendation. I believe it may have been in a Mother’s Day video. Anyway, even though it was very early in my collecting, it’s the one that I think I’d keep if I could only keep one. That baffles me a bit because though people like it, it’s never been one that people get super excited over. But you’ve always appreciated it, and it’s so special to me! I absolutely love every vanila fragrance you mentioned , the only problem with le bain is that on my skin it just doesn't last and it does not project at all , but it's so gorgeous , i just wish they came out with an intense version of it! A hidden gem for me is the male Obsession from Ck , it's a vanilla and cinnamon bomb , it really isn't that masculine with the right skin chemistry and it's in the 30$ range for a 125 ml bottle

If anyone is looking for a dupe for Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Coconut Fizz, two of the Hawaiian Tropic body sprays have the same fresh airy green coconut water note. They are Tropical Haze and Coco Magic and are incredibly affordable at about $15 for a large 250ml bottle. And they have lasting power as good as any edt.

Off the top of my head my favorite cheapies are Modest Duex, banana republic rosewood amor, guess seductive noir and red, La rive Fleur femme, reminiscence vanilla sandlewood, la rive dupe for coco mademoiselle (blanking on name), and loving a couple Finery perfumes (bought a few but only a couple last more than an hour so far).

I’m one of those people that fragrance seems to not last on at all…however, I get 4 hours out of it which for me is a long time. I find it to be less aldehydic (less soapy, a bit more soft) than the club nuit fragrance which is also similar to mademoiselle.
Thank you for this topic and the great suggestions! Even if I could spend more on a bottle of perfume, I choose not to, so $50 is about my limit (now). I have a number of these, and completely agree that Tocade and Lalique Le Parfum are beautiful vanilla scents. I've been eyeing Majestic Woods, but will probably hold off until next fall/winter. I'm already starting to think about spring and summer scents!

Have you tried Vicky Tiel Sirene? I absolutely love that fragrance it's classic, and affordable. It last forever on me, and the project and sillage is amazing. I always get tons of compliments with it. Since I've been living in Egypt I can't find it, but it's one of my favorites.

I love Le Bain and Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere. There is a very hyped niche fragrance called What We Do In Paris is Secret which smells almost EXACTLY like Le Bain, but at about 5 times the price. The Cremo line is very good. I have Vintage Suede and Spice & Black Vanilla. Both hit way above their price level. Another one of my budget faves is Adam Levine for her, which I found as a 2 bottle set (100ml & 30ml) for $10! It’s discontinued, but you can still find it at discounters. Added: Sofia from Sofia Vergara is also a great “cheapie” fruit-chouli.
Oh! I'll have to try my What We Do in Paris Sample one more time to see if I get the comparison - thanks for that tip! I need to try the other Cremo fragrances. They sound great! And I have Adam Levine and Sofia, although my time with Sofia is coming to an end. She's still gorgeous though. Thanks for sharing your recommendations! 🥰💖
I own Rare Tiffany, Quatre and Tocade. Love all 3. Had to order Roberto Cavalli, Lalique, Warm Cashmere and Joop on your recommendation. Trust your opinion. Bad influence, LOL !!! I don't need any more perfumes, but my daughter and 2 grown granddaughters enjoy raiding my stash. Hugs !!!

Great list, and love that you don't shy away from making lists that aren't entirely niche. Lalique is definitely a love, and even though I joke that the inspiration was pot roast because of the bay leaf it smells nothing like a pot roast. 🙂Pure Nectar is a good one too. Nisha from Spicy Looks raved about it and also said her husband loves it on her, so it might also be a contender for secret man killers. I love Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere as a layering scent. If I pair it with scented body creams or perfume oil, I find the performance is a bit better. Definitely not a beast, but closer to 5 or 6 hours than the 3-4 I think most people get. But honestly the 3-4 hours is fine for me if I'm wearing it as a night time scent where I just want to smell something nice as I fall asleep. I'm a sucker for a good freshie, so I may have to get my nose on Rare Tiffany for summer. In that vein, one of my favorite affordable scents is Martinique by Tommy Bahama. I personally love the opalescent bottle and it smells *extremely* similar to Scent of Peace (purple bottle) from Bond no 9. I have both, and I'm talking smelling them side by side there's barely a difference. Scent of Peace performs better - as it should, but since Martinique is $20-25 I have no problem reapplying.
Tommy Bahama has some fun scents and the bottle shapes are great too. I get about 4ish hours from Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere on its own, and I'm totally okay with that. Not everything has to be a 12 hour banger, you know? I learned of Pure Nectar from Neesha too, and when she mentioned the part about her husband, I added to cart. 😂😂😂 She was telling the WHOLE TRUTH! 💯👌
I have smelled all of them on your list, except Tocade, and I absolutely agree with your picks! They are all very lovely and well priced to boot! I also adore the regular Boucheron Quatre as well as Boucheron Nuit. Two I would add to the list that are completely 100% hidden gems and I am shocked no one talks about is Elizabeth Arden 5th Avenue Royale (I've found75mL bottles for $20 CAD) and Giorgio Beverly Hills Gold (100mL for about $30). Both are very contemporary boozy, wood (very light oud), with fruity top notes. Raspberry in the EA, plums in the GBH. Love them both.

The Roberto Cavalli one is a good one. Very inexpensive, I got mine at Ross stores for $20 bucks. The bottle is good quality and all-in-all a great value. It smells like orange blossom and honey to me, very yummy. I'd like to sample some Lalique scents.

I got Juicy Couture Majestic Woods yesterday, and it's GORGEOUS !! The new European packaging is quite minimalistic, it's not looking like the American liqour bottle, just a simple black box, ... but the perfume inside! Yes, niche expensive level 😎❤

To my nose, Rare Tiffany have similar scent DNA with Lancome's O d'Azur, Lacoste pour Femme, Jessica Simpson's Vintage Bloom, and nuances of Cacherel's Noa.

Years ago I was enchanted by a fragrance worn by a lady who worked at the firm I worked for. She drove a Jaguar and her fashion aesthetic was Silent Luxury. She shared the name of the fragrance, and I ran to the perfumery across the street where I was delightedly shocked to find it for $16 for a full size $8 for a purse spray. Months larer I returned to stock up for tracel gifting but it had been pulled from stores and eventually exclusively sold at Barney's. I think its only available in France since the Barneys closed.

I wanted to love Lalique le parfum but that was a total miss for me. I love affordable gems, which for me include Nina ricci rose extase, elie saab girl of now forever, yves rocher cuir de nuit (don’t buy full price, they go on sale 40% off often!), lanvin rumeur 2 rose, mix:bar sparkling hibiscus (one of the happiest fragrances to me), Pacifica island vanilla, and probably many more. The Roberto cavalli is also on my list- love that one!

Another sight recommends Mateo MUSC and Rodriguez MUSC. Where is the best place to get samples? I am not sure what is available or if I will like it. In early college years, I wore "Lauren" "Opium", and "Anais Anais" none of these are available over the counter now. So, what is the best way to find their replacement? I definitely don't want to small sweet like a pure flower or "powdery" like baby powder. How do I find a new scent to define me in my old years? I don't want to smell like my grandmother either -- something between baby powder and menthol creams!!!! Where can I get affordable samples while I decide?

I have Issey Miyake L’Eau DIssey and it is worth Every Dollar I spent to purchase m bottle . It’s the Original first fragrance and it’s very Aquatic and beautiful a definite Spring & Summer fragrance . Not heavy just right for me . I tend to wear Aquatic Florals and Citrusy fragrances in the summer nothing really heavy . Enjoyed this video. To me, Lalique Le Parfum is a true masterful olfactive creation: elegant, elevated, nuanced, unique yet wearable. I don't think I've ever walked by that fragrance and not stopped to smell the atomizer.
Rare Tiffany goes everywhere with me in the hotter months. A mate smelt it on me and asked if it was from Creed. Girl, Creed wishes.
I'm trying to not add anymore vanilla frags for awhile; but I'm going to pick up Tocade...there really is no such thing as too much vanilla anyway.

I love “cheapies” and probably 3/4 of my collection has been under $50. I haven’t smelled some of these, yay! Some new ideas! Fresh cream warm cashmere, quatre (the original though the absolute has me curious and now the en rose) and Majestic woods are the only ones I have.

Yes, Majestic Woods is a terrific fragrance and it layers beautifully. I've been layering it with Jennifer Lopez Still, another great, low budget fragrance. And they last! My other favourite, low budget fragrance is Mt Blanc Signature for Her. It's a gorgeous orange blossom musk worth niche prices. Perfect for sweater weather.

Because I want to try so many new smells, affordable is right up my alley for experiments. Years ago, I loved Tommy Girl by Tommy Hilfiger and Lucky You by Lucky. They're still in the affordable range and are easy reaches/everyday jeans scents.
My newest additions, carefully curated and blind buys are Beachscapes by Jennifer Aniston, Anais Anais by Cacharel, Glow by Jennifer Lopez, Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker and Shock for Her by Calvin Klein. I adore all of them. Not one second of regret and make me crave more.

I have worn Bath & Body Works cucumber & melon body spray ($14.95, I think?) and gotten repeated compliments from the same handsome guy. It isn't about the price point at all. Wear what makes you feel confident and pretty. Also, don't forget the classic scents like Estee Lauder's White Linen EDP...available for less than $50.00 on discount sites. That one never gets old, it is so fresh and clean smelling.

Lalique Le perfume smelled lovely from the atomizer but sadly on my skin smelt like plastic bug spray. So I suspect, looking at other reviews, this fragrance is made or broken by ones skin chemistry. Personally my favorite "cheapie" vanilla/tonka based fragrance is Joop le Bain. It is a beautiful Tonka bomb, with hints of cherry. I'm glad you mentioned it!!
But my most complimented cheapie has been Shaghaf Oud by Swiss Arabian. You need to like sweet fragrances and the oud is slightly synthetic but it really is beautiful, fun yet grown and romantic. Great for Valentine's day. 🙂

I will always associate Quatre with you and your channel Veronica! I bought it shortly after you did I believe, on your recommendation. I believe it may have been in a Mother’s Day video. Anyway, even though it was very early in my collecting, it’s the one that I think I’d keep if I could only keep one. I absolutely love every vanila fragrance you mentioned , the only problem with le bain is that on my skin it just doesn't last and it does not project at all , but it's so gorgeous , i just wish they came out with an intense version of it!
A hidden gem for me is the male Obsession from Ck , it's a vanilla and cinnamon bomb , it really isn't that masculine with the right skin chemistry and it's in the 30$ range for a 125 ml bottle

Tocade is a wonderful classic fragrance, highly regarded by perfume critics such as Luca Turin. It's lovely, powdery rose with vanilla.
If anyone is looking for a dupe for Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Coconut Fizz, two of the Hawaiian Tropic body sprays have the same fresh airy green coconut water note. They are Tropical Haze and Coco Magic and are incredibly affordable at about $15 for a large 250ml bottle. And they have lasting power as good as any edt.

Off the top of my head my favorite cheapies are Modest Duex, banana republic rosewood amor, guess seductive noir and red, La rive Fleur femme, reminiscence vanilla sandlewood, la rive dupe for coco mademoiselle (blanking on name), and loving a couple Finery perfumes (bought a few but only a couple last more than an hour so far).
La Rive for Coco Mademoiselle is Madame Isabelle. Can I ask you, how is the performance of Madame Isabelle? Is it last?

I’m one of those people that fragrance seems to not last on at all…however, I get 4 hours out of it which for me is a long time. I find it to be less aldehydic (less soapy, a bit more soft) than the club nuit fragrance which is also similar to mademoiselle.

Have you tried Vicky Tiel Sirene? I absolutely love that fragrance it's classic, and affordable. It last forever on me, and the project and sillage is amazing. I always get tons of compliments with it. Since I've been living in Egypt I can't find it, but it's one of my favorites.

I love Le Bain and Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere. There is a very hyped niche fragrance called What We Do In Paris is Secret which smells almost EXACTLY like Le Bain, but at about 5 times the price.
The Cremo line is very good. I have Vintage Suede and Spice & Black Vanilla. Both hit way above their price level.
Another one of my budget faves is Adam Levine for her, which I found as a 2 bottle set (100ml & 30ml) for $10! It’s discontinued, but you can still find it at discounters.
Added: Sofia from Sofia Vergara is also a great “cheapie” fruit-chouli.
Oh! I'll have to try my What We Do in Paris Sample one more time to see if I get the comparison - thanks for that tip! I need to try the other Cremo fragrances. They sound great! And I have Adam Levine and Sofia, although my time with Sofia is coming to an end. She's still gorgeous though. Thanks for sharing your recommendations! 🥰💖

Great list, and love that you don't shy away from making lists that aren't entirely niche. Lalique is definitely a love, and even though I joke that the inspiration was pot roast because of the bay leaf it smells nothing like a pot roast. 🙂Pure Nectar is a good one too. Nisha from Spicy Looks raved about it and also said her husband loves it on her, so it might also be a contender for secret man killers.
I love Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere as a layering scent. If I pair it with scented body creams or perfume oil, I find the performance is a bit better. Definitely not a beast, but closer to 5 or 6 hours than the 3-4 I think most people get. But honestly the 3-4 hours is fine for me if I'm wearing it as a night time scent where I just want to smell something nice as I fall asleep.
I'm a sucker for a good freshie, so I may have to get my nose on Rare Tiffany for summer. In that vein, one of my favorite affordable scents is Martinique by Tommy Bahama. I personally love the opalescent bottle and it smells *extremely* similar to Scent of Peace (purple bottle) from Bond no 9. I have both, and I'm talking smelling them side by side there's barely a difference. Scent of Peace performs better - as it should, but since Martinique is $20-25 I have no problem reapplying.
Tommy Bahama has some fun scents and the bottle shapes are great too. I get about 4ish hours from Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere on its own, and I'm totally okay with that. Not everything has to be a 12 hour banger, you know? I learned of Pure Nectar from Neesha too, and when she mentioned the part about her husband, I added to cart. 😂😂😂 She was telling the WHOLE TRUTH! 💯👌

I have smelled all of them on your list, except Tocade, and I absolutely agree with your picks! They are all very lovely and well priced to boot! I also adore the regular Boucheron Quatre as well as Boucheron Nuit. Two I would add to the list that are completely 100% hidden gems and I am shocked no one talks about is Elizabeth Arden 5th Avenue Royale (I've found75mL bottles for $20 CAD) and Giorgio Beverly Hills Gold (100mL for about $30). Both are very contemporary boozy, wood (very light oud), with fruity top notes. Raspberry in the EA, plums in the GBH. Love them both.

The Roberto Cavalli one is a good one. Very inexpensive, I got mine at Ross stores for $20 bucks. The bottle is good quality and all-in-all a great value. It smells like orange blossom and honey to me, very yummy. I'd like to sample some Lalique scents.

Years ago I was enchanted by a fragrance worn by a lady who worked at the firm I worked for. She drove a Jaguar and her fashion aesthetic was Silent Luxury. She shared the name of the fragrance, and I ran to the perfumery across the street where I was delightedly shocked to find it for $16 for a full size $8 for a purse spray. Months larer I returned to stock up for tracel gifting but it had been pulled from stores and eventually exclusively sold at Barney's. I think its only available in France since the Barneys closed.

I love L'eau d'Issey Pure Nectar - Issey Miyake!! & While I enjoy the scent of Roberto Cavalli - Roberto Cavalli, it is a bit overbearing and sometimes it really gives me a headache. I also love Joop! Thanks for your videos.

I wanted to love Lalique le parfum but that was a total miss for me. I love affordable gems, which for me include Nina ricci rose extase, elie saab girl of now forever, yves rocher cuir de nuit (don’t buy full price, they go on sale 40% off often!), lanvin rumeur 2 rose, mix:bar sparkling hibiscus (one of the happiest fragrances to me), Pacifica island vanilla, and probably many more. The Roberto cavalli is also on my list- love that one!

Another sight recommends Mateo MUSC and Rodriguez MUSC. Where is the best place to get samples? I am not sure what is available or if I will like it. In early college years, I wore "Lauren" "Opium", and "Anais Anais" none of these are available over the counter now. So, what is the best way to find their replacement? I definitely don't want to small sweet like a pure flower or "powdery" like baby powder. How do I find a new scent to define me in my old years? I don't want to smell like my grandmother either -- something between baby powder and menthol creams!!!! Where can I get affordable samples while I decide?

I have Issey Miyake L’Eau DIssey and it is worth Every Dollar I spent to purchase m bottle . It’s the Original first fragrance and it’s very Aquatic and beautiful a definite Spring & Summer fragrance . Not heavy just right for me . I tend to wear Aquatic Florals and Citrusy fragrances in the summer nothing really heavy . Enjoyed this video. Thanks and there are a couple of fragrances here I think I want to add to my Collection the last 3 mentions on your list here sound lovely that includes the Issey Nectar fragrance !! ❤❤😊😊🫶🏻🫶🏻🌺🌸☀️
