You can build a damn powerful N/A engine. In the sport of truck pulling, some classes have a 530 ci big block size limit. Those guys are making about 1500 hp, and 18:1 compression ratio
Fast Eddie is how all racers should be... friendly and humble. Great for the sport. Enjoyed watching. C5 is a beast. Congrats on record and personal best. Gotta love it. I love that its NA small block baby. Go fast Eddie. Ga Mike
Hats off to Fast Eddy and that bad ass N/A C5. Humble, class act sportsman running some outstanding consistent passes in the half. Hope to see more of him in the future.
What you see is what you Get. Eddie is as nice and down to earth as he is in this video. The Pride of North Alabama! Fast Eddie WILL break the record again. Good luck, Godspeed!
Gosh damn, gearheads always seem to be the friendliest people, no matter what type of racing, and/or vehicle that racing involves! I love these videos! Thank you for uploading content that I am proud to show to my friends!
Jesus Garcia so close...but like he said...there isnt a knob you can turn to add more boost and what not....so with the NA set ups like this...its more trial and error...he will get there....I have faith....but man...how bad ass does it sound revving at 9k + RPMs? Lol
Really would have loved to see him hit that 200, I can't imagine a more deserving person to achieve there goals. Great car Eddie best of luck to you and yours.
I love how near the end hes talking up NA cars and stating how hes passionate about that kind of build... RIGHT as a turbo car starts idleing right by them
You didnt listen, he spoke to how difficult it is to run that fast with a N/A car vs simply throwing some boost at it. 1000HP N/A is infinitely more difficult than boost
BowDown yep I agree with you if he want to go faster in that car probably have to switch over to a Pro Stock style Chevy big block motor versus running an LS you can make close to 2000 horsepower naturally aspirated
Mad respect to Fast Eddie. Humble, a great sportsman and his runs were very consistent. And i love the fact he was running NA. Forced induction, whether it's nitrous, turbos or superchargers are very common at 1/2 mile and 1 mile competitions. Running NA requires a ton of trial and error. If it weren't for the wheel spin off the line (and the one pass where he missed a gear) he could have easily gone 201 or 202. Hope to see him and the Vette again, soon. Great work, 1320 Video.
You can really tell he’s a good ass dude, it would be a privilege to get to hang out and race with him. If only more of us could learn from him and have his attitude!! 👍🇺🇸👍
Yeah...Cleetus's is an H pattern T56 thats had the gear set "face plated"...this one is with out question a true sequential...Ive seen other videos of the car and its been stated that it does.....thats gotta be a bad ass set up...9k plus RPM with a sequntial behind it...Id love to take it for a rip...lol
This C5 reminds me of the days when v8's with a lumpy cams, big ass Holly double pumper carburetors connected to an Edelbrock manifold, extractors with twin pipes out the rear ruled the streets and fuel injected turbo's were no where to be seen. A lot of people forget that there were street legal NA cars running 9 second passes down the quarter mile back in the late 80's.
I liked the most he was saying "thank you sir" ! That's kinda rare those days ! He was unlucky , he couldn't get the grip he needed to launch better and that's what messed up his timing from there . Good luck next time man , you totally deserve it !!!!
Now that is what i call SUPERNATURAL !!! He should put stickers of Sam and Dean Winchester on the sides of the Corvette cause holy hell that bad boy hauls ass
What I like is how they tried to keep it looking like a C5 as best they can on the interior, so you have your box on the console, the jesus handle up front for the passenger, the buttons to control the driver display, and the climate control vents...
THIS is what is cool. Not bragging or acting like a hot shot, but being honest, happy and open to the camera man, while letting the car do the talking. I seriously can't stand it when the driver acts like a tough/disrespectful guy just because he has a fast car, never made sense to me.
I can't believe everybody doesn't think a N/A can be that fast you people do realize there's Pro Stock cars that run 6 seconds at over 200 miles per hour in the quarter mile!
I think that people don't have any problem with it going fast, is just really hard to make big power N/A what with the insane compression and rev limiter. Compared to forced induction it's just that it's insanely impressive to be going that fast naturally aspirated. Like that takes a lot of engineering to balance everything well and then strengthen everything to rev high and make top-end power.
Also its "only" 441 CI...most Pro Stock cars are running 700 PLUS CI....its amazing how big they make them now a days...like Sonny's...you can call him up and have a 1000 CI monster delivered to your front door...and NA...that animal makes something like 2100 HP...haha...I would LOVE to just hear that animal running down the track in front of me...lol
Kahrese Lee what do you mean you have to build a boost motor stronger than na motor then you have the turbo kit on top of that more of a fuel system CO2 system so you're going to have double the money in a boosted setup
*stock for stock ford takes the cake you silly imbecile. We don’t need high compression billet blocks and 451 inches to Rev Past 9000rpm and go fast. 😀
P L A Y B O I are you using high compression as a excuse? If you are then yeah i am using ford needing 4 cams to keep up with single cams car as a even trade to needing high compression. LS swap the world is not a movement for no reason. It's because of lighter engines and better all around performance for the price.
A lot of crazy people in the comments here but I have to say that is incredible seeing most people out there use some sort of extra in it weather it be a turbo, supercharger, nitro, whatever it may be this guy needs none of it and still getting them numbers. You get very by this guy and he has every right to brag. Unlike all these kids out here that has the extra on there vehicle and runs around saying they can beat anyone. Sure you please t enough money in it you might get somewhere but this guy can honestly say it's all motor.
More people need to be humble like eddy
Amen bro
Fast Eddy !
Taco Gaming ,Probably the MOST HUMBLE MAN in RACING, AGREED 👍
Taco Gaming I swear I try
Fast Eddy* lol
Wow he seems like a genuinely nice guy
And unlike the last NA record on the channel, IT'S ACTUALLY NA! Lol.
I know the man and yes he’s one of the nicest guys you’ll meet
Good interview Fred. Eddie is humble AF.
Thats fast eddie to you
Eddie gave me a time slip at wanna go fast
That is one ugly fast vette.
someone should tell Eddie to recirculate his exhaust threw his fuel before it exits the vehicle
Mike
1106hp for 451ci naturally aspirated? Jeeez that's super impressive more than 2hp per cubic inch
That's what I said. Small block 451 making 1100 all motor is unheard of. It helps with him revving the thing to 9400 though.
Probably has 17:1 comp ratio. Engine sounds gooood.
You can build a damn powerful N/A engine. In the sport of truck pulling, some classes have a 530 ci big block size limit. Those guys are making about 1500 hp, and 18:1 compression ratio
@Peyton Brimmer it's a small block LSX
The first think I said when I opened this video is that thing has to have gnarly compression and run on alky
2:57 the salute gets more intense after every shift lol
11k rpm in a push-rod 2-valve per cylinder engine. Makes 1100hp. May I just say that’s impressive
That accent probably adds 50hp.
where comes that accent from?
+so oder so most likely the south is my guess sounds like people from north carolina to me
He sounds normal to me, lol
I didn't notice any accent until I saw your comment, that's nowhere near as heavy as the southern accents I'm used to hearing lol
Tennessee or Carolinas?
That c5 is sick
Like the supra old but still looks great
There is some cars old but still BADASS .
Like the s chassis
The JDM cars are not the only ones .
German , Muscle , Italian , & . . .
Man it’s a sad day when people start calling a car from 97-04 old.
1100hp without turbo or supercharger... totally respect. what a amazing build
I love that guys attitude. What a positive man. God bless him
Agreed.
Here comes the GOD BULLSHIT.. He'll never hit 200 Now.....
Love everything about the car, driver, everything...seems super humble.
That white Z06 is now my favorite 1/2 mile car. Thanks for sharing this video.
What you see is what you Get. Eddie is as nice and down to earth as he is in this video. The Pride of North Alabama! Fast Eddie WILL break the record again. Good luck, Godspeed!
Would this setup fit in a 98 civic? Asking for a friend
Yes, with full blown A/C and everything
U got money then it will
Walk in the park.
if you put it in the back.
funny you say that because there is a civic hatch out there with an LSX 454 in it.
I feel like Eddie is the most humble, mature, and just overall collected person I've ever seen on this show
Eddie is awesome!! Love how he’s so approachable!!
Love people that are humble like Eddy, hope he gets his 200 someday!
Woah!! 1106HP N/A!!!! Damnnnn that takes a hole new level of skills! Would love to see the internals of the engine. Great guy btw.
Gosh damn, gearheads always seem to be the friendliest people, no matter what type of racing, and/or vehicle that racing involves! I love these videos! Thank you for uploading content that I am proud to show to my friends!
Allmotor? You got my attention.
preludeF20Bking hell yeah for all motor it moves
I wanted to see that 200+mph.........
Jesus Garcia so close...but like he said...there isnt a knob you can turn to add more boost and what not....so with the NA set ups like this...its more trial and error...he will get there....I have faith....but man...how bad ass does it sound revving at 9k + RPMs? Lol
1216jimmyz
I know..... he can take weight off te car, or something else but i know its natural aspirated motor, btw I'm in love with this corvette
This is the most respectful guy in racing, keep it up!
Some serious respect for squeezing speeds like that out of all motor. Damn!
Really would have loved to see him hit that 200, I can't imagine a more deserving person to achieve there goals. Great car Eddie best of luck to you and yours.
Love! I built N/a cars forever and drive em on road trips to Cali all the time. Reliable.. the vet is the UNICORN 🦄
I love how near the end hes talking up NA cars and stating how hes passionate about that kind of build... RIGHT as a turbo car starts idleing right by them
Situational irony?
The greatest form of irony
Yep they only build N/A cars there😉😉
You didnt listen, he spoke to how difficult it is to run that fast with a N/A car vs simply throwing some boost at it. 1000HP N/A is infinitely more difficult than boost

Such a gentleman good luck to you reaching it 200 mph
What a top bloke "Fast Eddie" is. Good luck to Vengeance in attaining their 200mph goal.
An N/A Corvette is still a Corvette, an N/A GTR is an all wheel drive Maxima.......
koab78 woop woop nothing beats a big N/A engine.
Boi what
No such thing as an N/A GTR
tank2g2 the 1st two Nissan GTRs were N/A
Or n/a 2jz? Turbo queens are just too small to live within their means. And you're right, a n/a gtr = awd altima lmao.
We need more people like Eddie
Fast Eddie is a stellar human being. Keep being awesome and that engine is amazing
This man is righteous and old school...love that!!
You can really tell he’s a good ass dude, it would be a privilege to get to hang out and race with him. If only more of us could learn from him and have his attitude!! 👍🇺🇸👍
Eddie gave a time slip when he went 193 at wanna go fast in January. Very very humble guy. Can’t wait to meet him again
Thank you 1320 for not monetizing the F*** out of your videos like some other channels.
Awesome car! - and what a cool guy!!! He looks like he's having a great time, and he's so polite and nice! I love it!
Shifts through the gears crazy quick!
he got one them mcfarlands transmission
allmotorhash This one appears and sounds to be an actual sequential transmission, unlike the Cletus car

Really good one guys!
Du beau stock
What a really nice guy. Calm and cool about his car
2:30 ..... That Viper TA tho ... Beautiful!!!
FAST EDDY, YOU ARE A TRUE RACER THAT IS LOVED BY ALL. GOOD LUCK ON NATURALLY ASPIRATED RUNNING VETTE!
I always wondered who fast Eddie was thank you for letting me know
Seems like a really nice guy. Polite and not at all full of himself. Good job Fast Eddie
I like his gear changing gestures... like a music composer !
What a polite dude. Kudos to him.
I really respect that guy, he's awesome
Fast car. Like the dash showing N as he drove off.
That car is an absolute monster and Fast Eddie is one hell of a nice guy👍🏽🍺
Eddies a cool dude. Hope they get that 200 goal. Great interview Fred.
9,300 rpms in a v8!!? This is going to sound awesome 👌
Love the way fast eddy shifts lol
That c5 is dreamy.Only trouble I see is getting out the whole and shifting. Made it this far, keep it up FAST EDDIE
Eddies C5 is full of freedom!
Hes the nicest dragracer ive ever seen
what a humble man wow
I like how Fast Eddy shifts. So unnecessary, yet totally understandable and appreciated at the same time.
Love that guy, he's a legend.
I liked the most he was saying "thank you sir" ! That's kinda rare those days ! He was unlucky , he couldn't get the grip he needed to launch better and that's what messed up his timing from there . Good luck next time man , you totally deserve it !!!!
1100 naturally aspirated, how beautiful!
Now that is what i call SUPERNATURAL !!! He should put stickers of Sam and Dean Winchester on the sides of the Corvette cause holy hell that bad boy hauls ass
Way to go fast Eddy that thing sounds like a pissed off nascar and that car is movin!
This guy has the best accent
Thats a real engine builder makin the most out of the motor
Pure sport, love his attitude!
He’s gotta be from the Carolina’s with that beautiful accent.
I like this video format. Straight to the point and was exactly what the title says. Great car and driver!
Fantastic engineering
Very respectable gentleman right there
SMALL BLOCK Lsx but punched/stroked to 451 Cubic Inches...and turning 9300-9400 RPM That's insanely cool...!!!
My new favorite Vette now.
THAT C6 IS FAST!!!!..GREAT VIDEO!!!!
Watching this again in 2019 and I just can’t fathom if this thing was procharged. Even N/A is hard to believe for that power
I can't believe everybody doesn't think a N/A can be that fast you people do realize there's Pro Stock cars that run 6 seconds at over 200 miles per hour in the quarter mile!

1216jimmyz I could be wrong but I believe the Pro Stock cubic inch limit is 500 CI
Kahrese Lee what do you mean you have to build a boost motor stronger than na motor then you have the turbo kit on top of that more of a fuel system CO2 system so you're going to have double the money in a boosted setup
Very down to earth and humble 🙏
Awesome Vette, love that design
I saw that car yesterday it was insane
I love it when a car idles and it sounds like WW3.
i love how he had nothing to say about the 194 pass and 1320 just cut to the next clip immediately 🤣🤣 gold
Keep at it Fast Eddie
damn fast eddie is one classy guy
That C5 sounds so good!
That is a badass car no matter what brand ya like..
to all the ford guys that say an lsx can't turn rpm
*stock for stock ford takes the cake you silly imbecile. We don’t need high compression billet blocks and 451 inches to Rev Past 9000rpm and go fast. 😀
P L A Y B O I ..no but you need what 4 cams? To gm 1 cam. I'd say even.
rashaddow Even? Are you really using more cams as an excuse? Ford has been using OHC designed V8s since the 60s.
Aleksi Hh Your statement clearly shows you know nothing about how engines work.
P L A Y B O I are you using high compression as a excuse? If you are then yeah i am using ford needing 4 cams to keep up with single cams car as a even trade to needing high compression. LS swap the world is not a movement for no reason. It's because of lighter engines and better all around performance for the price.

Super high na cars are top notch, my father owns a 71 holden hq. 900hp 2 speed power glide, na hits like no other
I love the way he shifts lol
The way he shifts the sequential is the exact reason why I want one.
I like this guy and what his partners have done with this car.
Since final speed is all that matters, and he has so much trouble with traction in first gear, what if he started in second?
9300 rpm out of a ls is impressive as hell
really good looking car, looks really tough and is.
Personally, nothing sounds better than an aggravated N/A V8. 🤙🏽
He doesnt look at his times on his slip...I love that. Comapre to Cleetus. Man v Child. I love Cleetus too.
