    Hope you get the blinkers working. I would start with checking your hazard switch

    i havent messed with side marker blinker mods yet, but my guess (without using extra relays and stuff for less power use) would be that youd have to buy a correct sized 8w bulb with 2 filaments and modify the bulb housing wiring to accept the bulb with 2 filaments, and then route the 12v/8w filament power wire to the constant 12v circuit when the lights are switched and tap the 12v/20w flasher power wire anywhere into the flasher circuit. no idea how much all the lights would dim though with the additional 20w on each side, but i guess thats where relays that are connected straight to the battery and tapped into the flasher circuit would come into play so that you dont get voltage drops. the idea should be fairly the same with LEDs
    ive seen some ~20w/8w combination bulbs at autozone, but youd for sure have to modify the OEM bulb housing wiring on the side marker so that the two contact points on the bottom of the bulb receive power like two of the bulbs on the rear combination lights.. sounds like a fun project

      Sounds like you know more about this stuff than I do haha but doesn’t it seem like my blinkers are dual filament? That’s why the little LED socket has those 2 contact parts at the end. Also it’s a “switch back” type of led thing that switches from DRL to blinkers.
      Also shouldn’t there be power to the blinker circuit because that’s how it comes stock??
      I may be misinterpreting your comment but let me know if that makes sense haha?

      @@JordanPayneLV yeah yours are for sure dual filament, and ohhhh i see now, i got ahead of myself and was thinking about the fender side markers lol. you mentioned the turn signals werent working previously in the video, it could be a few things. I remember I disassembled my hazard switch and cleaned up the connections bc they were corroded and werent fully contacting, followed each ground in the circuit from the manual, replaced my turn signal flasher unit or my hazard flasher unit (forgot which since theres 2, the hazard flasher unit is the one thats connected to the hazard button now that im looking at my manual) and cleaned up the fuse box connection that supplies power to it, i dont remember whether what i did for them to get fixed, but i remember messing around with my fusible links too since the power runs from the fusible links first to the lights.
      i also have to pull my signal lever all the way down or up for it to fully contact and starting flashing, it wont flash if i do it gently, not sure if yours was ever the same. It'd be best to get a multimeter out and start checking for voltage and following the diagram, thankfully theres a few circuit diagrams out there that are color coded, i found a color coded one for my 76

      @@carlosmendoza6998 I should do what you did and follow the grounds. I think I’ll open up the switches and see if I can clean those out too. Thanks! Then we’ll see haha

    Jordan , good video. Just so you are aware your blinkers won’t work with the car off. The hazards will. I’m going through the LED blinker mod now. I like your steering wheel, what kind is it?

    • @JordanPayneLV
      @JordanPayneLV  2 роки тому

      It’s an NRG steering wheel, it was originally all black but the spokes are kind of a bronze now, I also made a horn cover with a Z on it :)

      Thanks Jordan. I have the exact same issues with my hazards. Just pulled the switch apart like you did in the video and only one side is working. Can’t get the arrows in the tach to light up either. Painful troubleshooting. Just ordered a new flasher like you have.

      @@av8ferg237 it can be frustrating, I’d also check your fuses again and possibly open up the switch again.

      @@JordanPayneLV Thanks again. Sort of like the problem you have with the fuse. I cleaned all the contacts in the fuse box and all the harness connections with contact cleaner and now my hazards work!!!! 45 years of corrosion

    Did you get the blinkers working or are the DRLs the blinkers also?

    • @JordanPayneLV
      @JordanPayneLV  Рік тому

      I did get them working by using a motorcycle relay and changing the fuses. The DRLs also work as blinkers 👌🏻
