  • Here I take the 4 runner out and urban stealth camp in San Diego, Ca as well as Sedona, Arizona. Plenty of outdoor outings and interesting things to see as well. The Toyota was great. Surprisingly comfortable Driving several hours.

Was a wonderful surprise to see an Xplorer Steve video this morning. Love the Transient Dirtbag cover and how you embraced the label. Carlsbad is one of the good spots out there, yet Encinitas which is right next door was a far more pleasant experience the last time I was out there. Great to see one of your adventures to start my day. Best of luck Steve

BROOOO! I love that license plate... you have such a great sense of humor. I was actually really sad for you that they had said that to you, but it made me smile so much when you got that around your license plate... I wish I could shake your hand, brother! haha!

Really like your videos. I'm at the early stages of building a my 2013 4x4 Tacoma into a travel overlander. I love the beaches of Southern California and Mountains of Northern California. Planning a travel adventure from San Diego and work my way up the coast to Big Sur and then over to Mammoth. Will make a stop in Las Vegas then onto Park City Utah, Jackson Hole Wyoming, Breckenridge Colorado and back home to Dallas.

Sort of the “Marriott” of day campers for certain. 👍👍👍😎😎 In Sedona Go to the UFO spotting at night, it’s off the hook good! Night vision goggles, you won’t believe what’s moving around in the sky at night. Notice, I didn’t say the “A” word. I didn’t see who was driving. 😂😂 Yep, took both red and pink Jeep tours, very good. Saw the cliff dwellings pretty neat. (Gila in NM much bigger) Headed back to Sedona in February 👍👍👍 The scenery just makes me want to go more

I also highly recommend the Pink Jeep tour...scary at a lot of points, feels like the Jeep could go tail over nose. Sedona is gorgeous, one of my favorite places in the USA. I remember taking the kids there when they were younger and before we got there, along the road there were people in swimsuits sliding down a natural water slide. We stopped and threw on our swimsuits and played for hours.

So, I have a '21 Runner and very little carpentry skills. Anyway, I just want to make a basic, flat area to sleep, but I'm not sure where to start. I live in Vegas and we love wheeling in Utah. Any advice?

Is it necessary to unplug the solar power once the battery reaches 100%?

Awesome build! I want to make one of these one day and plus side Toyota’s last forever! One question do you ever worry about people stealing the solar panel?

Naw. They can steal the whole vehicle as well but i’ve never been one to Commit much energy to these thoughts.
