Where does your God live? 1. Infinite existence consciousness - everywhere, vast and in everything. Hidden by Ignorance; Revealed by knowledge. 2. In yourself in your heart. Hidden by inattention & distracted; Revealed by attention and turning inwards by meditation. 3. It lives in suffering, sorrow, worst of places and people. Hidden in our ambition, greed, lust, anger; Revealed by love, sacrifice and expressed in service.
Great points Swami. Similarly, I'm paraphrasing, but when people would ask Ramana Maharshi how to see God or if he could show them God he would say something like "God cannot be seen because God is not an object. God is the subject. Find out who the Seer is."
22:33 All that is so deep... that is exactly what people experience on their spiritual path as Karuna. Not knowing that suffering in other people is also just an appearance of God, the divine nature of people when they suffer is hidden to us. When we understand that they too are waves in the Ocean of God, or rather, the Ocean of God itself, that nature is revealed to us and we are able to serve all better...❤❤❤❤
Swami sarvpriya Nanda is completely practical and powerful teacher who deals with the direct problem I pray Shri Krishna to protect Swami sarvpriya Nanda from all the evil things from all directions and maintain his peace all the time in the future 🙏.
Thanks Swamiji for beautiful explanation as always do. My question is even if one is not enlightened at this moment like me, will still practicing duality will not be hindering for the path of Advaita??
If you live you life without seeking God, only guided by pursuit of worldly pleasures (greed, lust, anger) you are bound by igorance and you do not find God. You do not find fulfilment even if all worldly desires are obtained. You do not find bliss. How blessed are we to have Swami Sarvapriyananda's clarity to remind us of these ultimate truths.
It was easy for me to accept that God was eternal, immortal, and infinite. It took me some time to accept that God is everywhere until I took a good look at outer space. There are stars out there that make our sun look smaller than a pixel. As human beings we are soooo tiny. Outer space has billions of galaxies within it. The human race can only observe 93 billion light years of space. My mind wants to experience those light years. Thanks to UA-cam I can be satisfied just being aware that Brahman is expanding and larger than the expanding universe.
What Do You Have To Say, If Any, From Scriptures. Any Scripture. Demi-Gods?? Godhead, Supreme God. ❤Are These Just Points Of References? Or Do They Exist In Physicality
The words spoken are true and clear. The matter the subject in question is understood. But that after a moment disappeared in illusions. So ultimate reality is to accept it,probably it can not be known by physical body sences mind and intellect. Thanks to swamiji for clearing all the required pros and cons the vedant narates.
Pranams Swami ji, thanks a ton...you really clarified but still we mortals have to learn....lots of other questions also got answered. ..but digesting it will only help...jatinder
Mayavadi philosophy is impersonal and it limits God to His own creation. So when someone is asked the question "where does God live?" the answer is 23 mins beating around the bush and no clear answer. That is in a nutshell Mayavadi philosophy.
I felt after listening to this talk that Maharaj ji actually answered 3questions: 1. Where is God? 2. How do we find or know God? 3. What do we do afterwards? Pronam Maharaj. In one talk you covered almost the gist of all the Vedas. Thank you . May Holy Mother bless you.🙏🌺📿🙏

I certainly did not get the answer The intention of asking questions is to find out why we have disparity and sorrow and suffering or to know where he is so we can perceive him. The problem that we have is we have GOD and God and we make him Human - All powerful and merciful and all pervading and all knowing. But in same breath we call him witness consciousness which DOE NOT DO anything but then we again worship Idols which is Human form of the God I wish we will get straight answer in future
The 3 original vedas that began with the rg ved samhita eventually becomming 4 with atharva was the period of mankind's 1st awareness of setinence which brought up a whole host of questions & only in india is that unbroken link to be found that 2500 to 3000 yrs ago gave rise to vedanta ( the answers to the questions ) upanishad literally means near the source of answers meaning it takes the firm of the student asking the master & from there the discourse begins. Vedanta is bharat's gift to all of mankind & can not be called religious in any way as it trancends all limitations so ppl must ust this human birth to learn this bec 8 400 000 species to take rebirth means a very long time b4 we get a chance to come back as a sentient being.
God "lives" through everything living creation that exists. God "sees" through one's eyes and through ones experiential life. We are called to acknowledge God's presence in everything and everyone; through every living thing of Divine Creation. What could be clearer than this?
Regarding how it's incorrect to say.. all is God. but instead it's best said: all is not, God/Vast only is. We don't see God as existence-itself (including ourselves), because of ignorance. And that we should see and serve God in all *SENTIENT* beings.. How does the consciousness that one feels, relate to the consciousness and plan of the microscopic? Sounds like those bugs have consciousness. For example, if you are consciously aware that you want to be happy or in the flow, but your gut bugs are sending anxiety signals, aren't those different consciousnesses at odds? Also, since much of your personality seems to be rooted in biology, what is your true personality that survives between lives?
The answer to your question lies in the subtle body, which is the link between the physical body and the self hidden by ignorance (causal body). It is the subtle body which reincarnates. It is the subtle body which reflects consciousness.
This universe is the problem ... But, again is not here that I think of my mother is this not the place I eat and drink and make merry call my mother ... Yes ! I miss my mother too here ... So this universe is and not too, my problem
Pranam Swami Ji I feel distressed why this Vedanta knowledge is not reaching to the grassroots level. Language has become a huge barrier. There should be vast spread in Hindi also so that it reaches to our own motherland. It can reach to all if it crosses language barrier. Mostly it is in English which is good and important to reach across nations but for our own nation it is getting limited. Our own brothers and sisters are not benefitting simply because it's not much in Hindi. Please devise some way🙏
Hello friend. Maybe you can help Swami ji spread the information. I see the Hindu's as beautiful, self composed people from the inside out. That has to be coming from somewhere. India has a large population. They are constantly growing and getting better. They will get the knowledge. It will just take a little more time. Om Shanti.
I would suggest that if we are referring to Ishvara of the Upanishads (e.g., Isha Upanishad) then Ishvara as the creator is not identical to Ishvara as the personal deity (e.g., Sri Krishna, Mother Kali, Lord Shiva, Jesus Christ). The Upanishadic Ishvara is Brahman (i.e., the terms Ishvara and Brahman are interchangeable), while personal deities (or ishta devatas) are manifestations of Ishvara in the form of individual beings that we worship at an altar either ritually or mentally. So, for me, the answer provided in this video would apply if the term Ishvara were used instead of God or Brahman in the question. My observation above assumes the Advaitic narrative of creation wherein Ishvara created all that is knowable to us as creation out of nothing but Ishvara while undergoing no change at all in the process. In other words, Ishvara as creator did not become the creation as in pantheism. Neither is creation a part or portion of its creator as in panentheism. Rather, in the Advaita narrative I assume, creation is a manifestation or appearance of the unchanging creator (Ishvara) where the creation exists non-separate but dependent upon its creator but the creator (Ishvara) is self-existent and independent of the creation.
An ishwara independent of the creation would still not be advaita..if i understand you correctly..Sriaurobindo gives a more detailed explanation of how the undivided One manifests into creation..or itself becomes the creation..but in the actual experience this may not be possible just now because of the limitations of our mind perception, and collective non readiness, perhaps thats why the Swamiji ( i.e the Ramakrishna order viewpoint)has not given those details, because first the purification of mind is required..through viveka vairagya etc
In terms of absolute reality, there is no separate, personal Ishwara... but then there is also no Frogmorton, RSR or Jyothi pandit either, yet here we are conversing. We are not utterly nonexistent as individuals; rather, we are *empty* as arising appearances and are Brahman in reality. It's fine at the empirical level of consensus, relative truth, to talk of individual persons and a creator God. Advaita Vedanta has no problem with the existence of Ishwara provided it's understood as empirical 'reality' and not absolute Reality.
@@jyothipandit2755 I invite you to to revisit what I posted earlier where I stated “the creation exists NON-SEPARATE but dependent upon its creator but the creator (Ishvara) is self-existent and independent of the creation”. I fail to see why this is not Advaita. The narrative I presented is my understanding of the Upanishadic vision of Ishvara as taught by Sri Shankaracharya. Others may have a different interpretation of the Upanishads just as Dvaitins and Vishistadvaitins do.
@@FrogmortonHotchkiss According to Advaita, as taught by Shankara, Upanishadic Ishvara is all there is meaning that “is-ness” is the nature of Ishvara. Hence, Ishvara is Absolute Reality appearing as our empirical reality of individual sentient beings and insentient objects. Further, our nature is identical to that of Ishvara, i.e., our “am-ness” is identical to Ishvara’s “is-ness”. I would suggest that other definitions of Ishvara as empirical reality, etc., are of one’s own making and divorced from the vision of the Upanishads.

Herbivore does not mean, no killing. The plants and fruits and vegetables that herbivores eat are also living entities, life forms bloomed into life, or dormant life ( like seeds and nuts and grains) waiting for right soil and moisture etc to germinate and bloom into full life.
