I've got high hopes for this channel! We really need a professional Aussie "Carwow" style channel, that isn't biased and reading straight from the manufacturer's brief sheet, like alot of the mainstream automotive media channels have become (as you'd know).
No worries, Edward! Yeah I agree - nobody dials up launch control at the traffic lights waiting to blast away! I've never used it in my cars unless I've been performance timing. We'll make sure we'll keep rolling these out.
I recently purchased the A35 sedan in mojave silver. Absolutely love it. They A45 was just a little to aggressive as my everyday drive and I just think the sedan version looks a lot better. Both are great cars though.

I love driving my A35, perfect car to introduce me to the AMG family. Country roads are what this car is made for, just sticks to the road and pulls your around the corners. Even found with sport handling and if its wet you can force the back wheels out and drift it.
@@CarExpertAus a45s would be amazing but let's be honest lots of people will crash this car. Lots of power in a very light and agile car will have to be one hell of a driver to really push that car to its limit
A few weeks ago we ordered an A45s Plus in Sun Yellow with the Yellow stripped seats,can't wait for it to turn up and it should sit nicely alongside our ( weekend toy) Mitsubishi Evo X which runs around the same sort of power.The A45s will however be our new daily driver and will replace the Mrs older A Class,that means she can now collect my beers from the supermarket twice as fast as before ! I will have to teach the Mrs how to launch the car properly as she liked the way it launched when we test drove it,mind you the Mercedes sales guys face was a picture when after the test drive he asked me if i liked the car and i said yes it was VERY good when we launched it,he went white as a sheet and chin hit the floor lol,but he soon got his colour back and wasn't bothered when i agreed to place an order for it there and then,the car only had 300 miles on the clock and wasn't run in,but it was by the time i finished with it lol .

That's true, the problem is we don't have the Petrol Particulate Filter (PPF) fitted for Australia, so I was hoping it would sound a little better. But it doesn't sound like it makes much of a difference unfortunately!
The "panamericana grill" is named after the "Carrera Panamericana" in Mexico, same as the Porsche Panamera, and the Porsche Carrera, which pay tribute to this road race, its one of the last old school road races that is still celebrated every year to this date, pretty cool

Also, if you can create content around how a person can buy, lease, rent cars it would be helpful - for example with Mercedes, maybe you could explain what Agility finance is or what Simplicity finance is etc. Or like Tesla and their 7 years finance. Or like Toyota on their 4 year guaranteed buyback etc. In a nutshell, could you show the different ways car companies can get me in their cars even though I have a modest wage? I've purchased an A35 Sedan (Denim Blue) and must say it sounds louder in real life than what you hear in this video. Otherwise this is an excellent comparison and well made video, great presenting style!

I bought my CLA 35 Shooting Brake around 2 month ago, it is pretty fast and more than enough for Switzerland :) only in Germany I can let it run sometimes. And as special offer I got 20000 off the Price from Mercedes, totally worth it.
By the end of the runs the tyres were warm :-D we did about 20 runs in the A45 and couldn't get lower than 4.0. Keep in mind we don't do a 1-foot rollout, which is what most times quote. And the drag strip surface isn't prepared so it'll always cause a tiny bit of slip.
4:10 That emotion start sounded more like a depressing start. Idc if the old A45 is slower but ill keep mine with a milltek exhaust over this anyday. My normal cold starts sound like someone was holding in a fart for days and he just lets 1 ripp lol
Umz... your comparing a milltek exhaust to a stock a45S exhaust system. You do realise it has to meet with tougher noise and emission regulations in order to pass from factory.
Normally I wouldn't like a blocked vent on one side, and a real one on the other. But I think it works with the A45 - looks like a custom built monster.
I love my yellow A35, so much fun, so pretty. Love the MBUX and the interior, the assistant systems and the general quality. Oh, and don't forget the A35 has an emotion start as well!
Really nice. Do you have also the normal A45 in Australia? Would be interesting and how much more regarding A35? In europe i would say A35 is for daily use and A45s is when you have access to Race tracks
Not sure if this was done but in the 45s you can adjust launch control rev limit with the paddles while revving to suit road condition. Being a drag strip would make sense to have it on max launch control revs - might have got the 3.9s this way.

Ha ha, I think the A35 is the better all rounder - the A45 may be quicker, but that tyre roar through the cabin is just too much sometimes.

Well done mate great review quality stuff. But for future reference you should warm up the tires - you can get 3.9 to 100
By the end of the runs the tyres were warm :-D we did about 20 runs in the A45 and couldn't get lower than 4.0. Keep in mind we don't do a 1-foot rollout, which is what most times quote. And the drag strip surface isn't prepared so it'll always cause a tiny bit of slip.

4:10 That emotion start sounded more like a depressing start. Idc if the old A45 is slower but ill keep mine with a milltek exhaust over this anyday. My normal cold starts sound like someone was holding in a fart for days and he just lets 1 ripp lol

Umz... your comparing a milltek exhaust to a stock a45S exhaust system. You do realise it has to meet with tougher noise and emission regulations in order to pass from factory.

Normally I wouldn't like a blocked vent on one side, and a real one on the other. But I think it works with the A45 - looks like a custom built monster.

Really nice. Do you have also the normal A45 in Australia? Would be interesting and how much more regarding A35? In europe i would say A35 is for daily use and A45s is when you have access to Race tracks

Not sure if this was done but in the 45s you can adjust launch control rev limit with the paddles while revving to suit road condition. Being a drag strip would make sense to have it on max launch control revs - might have got the 3.9s this way.
