A45 looks better than the a35 but the interior in the 35 is better along with the technology as well

You launched better because you know when you’re going to say go, the guy in the a45 has to wait for you to say it , but obviously the technology obviously helps the launch too
More like the a35 has better tyres. The technology is the same in either car
A35 has an electronically controlled diff for the AWD system. It means that it doesn't have wait for the front wheels to slip before applying power to the rear. So the tech is different.

From the Mercedes website: "AMG Performance 4MATIC with even faster responding electromechanical multiple-disc clutch for fully variable power distribution, excellent traction when accelerating out of curves."
The 4MATIC system is improved over the old A45. The instructor at the AMG experience said that the A35 had better turn in as well.
The A45 is slightly faster, but the A35 is s much better car (and the new A45 and A45S will be even better).
I get the feeling that Archie thought the race was closer than he expected.
It was so close on the launch because you got to do the countdown. You should have had a third party doing the 3..2..1.
I feel you can anticipate and get better launch as a result so maybe not a totally fair test.

I had A45 Edition 1 and it was awesome! I see sometimes on the street and it still looks great.
The interior of the A45 looks (and is) really dated compared to the A35.

If you're going to literally count to the start the person counting will nearly ALWAYS press the accelerator faster (and thus have a tiny headstart, causing the said 'good start' of the A35 from the video).

Personally I much prefer the old A45 or the old A class design, new one looks like an Astra (nothing wrong with Astra). Also when mentioned 'Oh he is only a cars length in front' (or similar) it's like a stretchered limo x 2 in front. It's only the interior that the new A class has over the old, IMO

Any buying advice of A45 facelift 65 plate done 45k and got 2 year warranty just been serviced full Mercedes-Benz approved used.

Which airfield is this?
Searched online and found that it is Turweston Airfield near Brackley... the shot at 1:46 helped.
And im wondering if this a45 is stock? hes done some modifications, the exhaust is much louder than stock and hes changed carbon steering wheel. So i wonder if hes got a tune too?
It's actually a AMG A45 they swapped it round with gen 2, also like already mentioned you need someone starting the races as your getting a small advantage. And if the A45 had the Race option (comes with the adaptive suspension or LSD option) then the A35 would have been left for dead off the line. My A45 in Race mode (one click past sport +) did 0-60 in 3.6.

Archie, you will never "have him". The A35 is less powerful and no matter what you do, it's all down to the cars power and launch.

Can be it be that hard to get some Mobile lights or one of the camera crew to do the start and him putting the window up half way through the race really doesn’t help him that and the fact that the a45 just has more power and faster 0-60 time so it should win no problem
Realax archie both of these are average performance at best. S3 is faster then the A35..... and the RS3 makes the A45 look like a corolla in the rear view mirror

U compare the old a45 with the supposedly new rs3 so just wait and relax and we will see who wins when the new a45s comes out. As for the s3 u have a point it is interestingly quicker than the a35 even tho for interior and looks and tech i would still choose the a35
Chris 2.5 l 5pot vs 2.0 l 4 pot. Of course the rs3 is quicker even though they put them in a same category. Imagine if the rs3 was a 4 cylinder and same hp as the a45?

S what do you mean new? The rs3 is super old and it’s the same engine. So it’s perfect for comparison. The 45 started with the same engine at 355bhp. They both got power increases so how can you call the rs3 supposedly new?.

The A45 engine is used for the V8. AMG said they just use 2 A45 engines to build the 4 litre V8.
