Hi Gus. I hope you're well. When I took my fight from that terminal, I didn't know that you always have to go through your airline checkin counter first, even if you have already checked in online and only carry hand luggage. That mistake made me lose half an hour x) Greetings from Madrid.
Hi César, that is such a good point, and I’m glad you brought it up! That’s right, Egypt is unlike a lot of other countries in that you cannot check in 100% online, but must go to the check-in counter, even if you are not checking bags.

Nice video! Does the same process apply to layovers from connecting domestic flights to to international destinations? You have to go through the same security and passport control?

@@heronaddict2 yes, about that much time. You have to go outside and kind of “make your own way” from T2 (it’s not connected), but it’s easily doable!

@@heronaddict2 definitely unnecessary if you don’t have lots and lots of baggage or if you are able to walk a short distance.

I would recommend still going to the check in counter. They might have them upstairs at passport control as well, but I've always just gone to the counter.
HI There I am booking a flight for July 27, 2024 from New-Delhi -Cairo- Toronto (final destination). My layover in Cairo is of 2hrs and I have to Terminal from T2-T3. I have to do baggage, security and passport control. My question is :
A) Is 2hrs enough time to do it all? My flight in Cairo arrives 00:45 so at midday of night so maybe lesser lines?
B) Do I need transit visa?
2 hours might be enough time, or might not, it all depends on the lines. To me, I’d want at least 4 hours to be certain I’d make it through.
Yes, you’ll need a visa in order to move between terminals.

Why do so many tour companies offer arrival and departure assistance? Is this necessary? I’ve watched a few of your videos and you make it look so easy. Is it really worth it to pay for this service?
They usually offer it because it’s not very expensive and it does speed things up at the airport (it can cut 30 minutes up to 1 hour off of the process). But I think it’s fairly straightforward and not necessary for a meet-and-assist service. Up to you!

Hey there! I usually recommend arriving to the airport 1-1.5 hours in advance of a domestic flight's departure. Allow more time if you are a large (more than 5 people) group.

No, you do not need a new Covid test upon arrival, just the test that you took 72 hours before landing in Cairo, or your proof of vaccination with QR code.

The airport is the same-some terminals have been renovated, like this one.

Hi Kristine, no, global entry only helps you when you return to the USA, and pre-check only helps when you leave from the USA. None of those services expedite the process in Egypt.

@@kristinegray3923 the name “Global Entry” is somewhat of a misnomer. It speeds up the process when you return to the USA after being abroad, but doesn’t expedite going to foreign countries from the USA.

Nothing scary about it,i arrived this month on the 7th it's a smooth breeze through the airport
