This is great - I need to do very similar stuff to my trailer soon, so the entry ideas give me good stuff to ponder. It’d be nice if those little inserts were available commercially for people without a 3D printer - I’d like to see them for BNC and N as well in addition to SO-239.
Thanks for the great content,,, I do think the power poles would be better suited if they were facing you instead of facing up. If you drop a drink or dust or shavings from another project on them you might have problems... If you revise this please make a video....

For the Chokes, I run an HF choke, but will it hurt anything to run HF on a VHF choke, or vice versa? I wouldnt mind adding a choke to my VHF/UHF input, but i occasionally use it for HF haha.
It won't hurt anything to run a choke on any band vs any other band. I'm not sure why ABR spec'd different wraps, but coax is their specialty, so I will let them be the experts!
Neat invention. That outside hatch looks clever. Truly make so much easier operate on table different radio equipment. Those inserts need found somewhere too. How about grounding connection to this junction under table ?
I move so much that grounding isn't really that much of a thing in my world. Would be easy enough to run a cable out the portal and drive a stake if I was more permanent somewhere.

I like the idea of having power ports built into the desk. When the next shack upgrades come, this will be on my list. I've been debating the best way to get a passthrough setup for all the coax. There is a roof height difference just above my desk that should be a great place to have a passthrough. I like the choked out jumper idea. The look of the powerpoles flush in the desk was really nice. How do you manage shack grounding in the RV?

That looks good! One challenge I’ve run into is the various PowerPole switches and meters are only rated at 15A. That’s not enough for an HF rig (in my case FT-710). This has also been an issue in building a battery box to power multiple radios. Have you run into this and found viable alternatives with a higher amperage rating?
@@heiser_bill Yeah, after a while, you don't want that much power going through your fingertips. I've only seen switches up to 30 amps, but I do have a "200 amp" meter... not sure if I trust its 200a rating though.
I have a question about the Power Mini 2 use use. I put one in my box build and have a 20ah LiFePO4 battery connected directly to it. I was wondering if I should connect it through the master switch for my box so it won't be powered all the time? What do you think? Everything is powerpole terminated so it will be easy to change.
