Someone at channel4 decided to mash up presenters and hosts for a charity stunt and this jewel came out of it. Watch Never Mind the Buzzcocks (Mark Lemar years - it got a bit shitty once Simon Amstel took the reigns with sight gags and set up goofs, then it had guest hosts who just used it as an ego boost. Noel Fielding did inject some botox in there, but go watch ) and Have I got News for You?
What makes it more hilarious to me is that I've watched regular "Countdown" with my grandfather. It's tame, intellectual and sensible. Then this shit is just a fucking trainwreck.

I mean, I haven't watched any of it myself so I can't comment but I've personally always thought of Lee as the kind of comedian that does his best when he's bouncing off others. That's why Would I Lie To You and other game shows such as this always seem to be a great fit for him.
It's possible ot be quick witted and stupid, all it takes is years as a standup in some of the roughest clubs around. I'm not saying that he isn't clever, only that it's possible to be stupid and quick if given the right experience.

When you laugh really hard it can mess with your breathing and the sounds you make. I think what was happening in that clip was that he was doing that thing where you're laughing but it's relatively silent, and then you might snort or something. The typical way of laughing is very natural for our vocal cords, etc. so it isn't surprising that he would occasionally make that noise, even if it's not his immediate natural laugh. I could be wrong, of course, but I think it's real.
You look through all these comments and everyone has a different favourite clip, which just proves how damn good that show has been. RIP Sean Lock, greatly missed.

I still want to give huge Kudos to the genius who gave this show a life of it's own after the Channel 4 mashup years ago. The format is that weird putting maple syrup on bacon and realising - this tastes funny.
This show is so great, love that there is atleast a good 15 minute introductions before anything even happens. Sean lock, Jon Richardson, Jimmy, Susie and Rachel are all awesome. Its weird and different everytime. Great pool of guests they have on. Its stupid, fun and hilarious, whats not to love?
