I really love that you can separate the mixer out with the USB C cable. I built a travel case for the Atem Mini Extreme over on my channel and that was a wiring nightmare, this would have been awesome for that travel case. I had to run HDMI extensions from the ports to the side of the case, with this switcher, I could have just have that part visible through a hatch. Great video, thanks for sharing.
i’m trying to think of the last time i legit looked at my sprolink on board screen lol but this will be a good starting point for a lot of beginners out there. where was this when we were buying cam links lol
what a cool device, really unique form factor I like what they're doing. I have 2 setups 1 for streaming just chatting etc, 1 for Djing this would allow me to have the control unit at my desk when I'm filming from there and to move it to the other setup when I need to I think this is awesome for studios with multiple setups and allows you to be flexible by bringing the control unit to the different setups (though you would need a really long cable I think)
I’d love to win this and use it! I’m just starting out and don’t have much other than my phone and GoPro. I haven’t done any UA-cam lives but I have done TikTok. Love your videos as well. Very informative and not crazy long. Great way to keep people to the end!
It would also work well with a product such as the Yolobox Ultra, in which you switch between cameras on the Ulanzi and send the feed via HDMI to the Yolobox Ultra's HDMI 1 and then add graphics and such and lower the workload on the Yolobox.
I was thinking about buying an ATEM Mini Pro to run my 4 Insta360 Link 2s via USB-C to HDMI, but I discovered that I would have to also get UVC Converters for each of the cameras. Will this switcher support the USB-C to HDMI cameras without needing the extra hardware?
I wonder if this switcher can set multiview to be output from USB-C port (or even from HDMI loop-out) so I would be able to get 4K PGM output from HDMI OUT connection. Otherwise this switcher cannot provide both 4K PGM output and multiview to a full operation at the same time. Would this PGM ON/OFF button switch the USB-C output, or does this just fade USB-C out? Thanks
I like the separate control surface but that’s about all (I wonder if an Ethernet usb extender would work between control head and input box?). It’s missing recording, playback, supersource, remote software, audio meters and streaming capabilities. For £50 more you can have an Osee Duet with all of those features plus 4 sdi inputs. It looks like their target market for this is gaming streamers and not mobile video producers. I’ll be interested in seeing where they go with it in future though but they’ll need to keep an eye on their pricing in comparison to the rest of the switcher market otherwise they won’t sell many units.
Can it pass through 4K HDR 120hz+? Thats my biggest issue with the Atem Mini at the moment and I just end up using a capture card for the PS5 and Computer because of that.
If I understand correctly, there is no button to do an auto cross fade, correct? Meaning, you must use the T-bar to cross face, right? If that's the case, that's definitely a deal breaker and a reason not to get this unit. But I'm hoping that I am wrong.
Impressive. Is there additional software for this so you can change the size of PiP and add another transitions? Because if not it's kinde steep price.
Funny little thing but they all have one common problem. There is always a PGM out ( Program output ) that can be set to multi view. So it's always one or the other. Very few if not none of them has a multi view and a program out. Blackmagic can now be set to a program out on the HDMI and a multi view on the USB but it's not ideal to use.
Osee GoStream deck and duet allows usb multiview too, but it does affect the stream and recording out too so you end up with a multiview recording, I stream via a Live U Solo so that’s no problem.
I bought this switcher, but for some reason, my Sony A6400's aren't recognizing it as a 4k Output device. I plugged it in to my computer via USB-C and it's also recognized it as a 1080p. Any ideas? I specifically purchased it for it's 4k output ability, over the ATEM Mini.
just as far as my experience with other switchers, i rarely look at the screen on the unit, but i suppose it depends on what you use it for. but would love to know which switcher you are using, or which one you would be more interested in . thanks for stopping by
@@MrBlackReviews Hello. YoloBox is the best one. Has a built-in battery, can connect directly to my favorite social media, has Wi-Fi connection, and so on
Messed up so many things today on my first event stream using just OBS and some cheap wireless transmitters so here I am looking into live event gear.

Great vid as always, thanks.
This looks fun.
That C-To-C option is so original and super practical, nice one!
I love how Ulanzi just keeps leveling up their products.
Agreed.
I really like how the control surface is seperate from the I/O
I love Ulanzi, they have amazing products that are reliable!
I've been a fan of ulanzi products for a few years now and. This looks awesome.
Its a really compact simple and smart design. Well done Ulanzi.
Dude if this had a built in screen it would be the go to switcher! Looks awesome
i’m trying to think of the last time i legit looked at my sprolink on board screen lol but this will be a good starting point for a lot of beginners out there. where was this when we were buying cam links lol
I think I like this over the Atem Mini….especially with 4K, detachable cable deck…and the Prime Day price is awesome.
What’s up! Thanks for review. Found you on the live show, now I’m a follower
Ulanzi switcher looks nice
Nice Switcher! a game changer!
This does look like a nice switcher!

Awesome switcher!
would be so cool if you could record to an External hardrive and as a video output to your computer at the same time.
LOVE that portability. Totally needed that this Sunday when I was teaching people how to livestream. 😅
Awesome video. I would love to eventually get that switcher. I also love your videos.
Hi Danny @MrBlack!! Wow Guess what showed up the other day? Yes!! Thank you once again Ulanzi DD02 HD Live Stream Switcher!!!
Too expensive for what it is. Might as well get an ATEM mini.
Agreed. And there’s an atem competitor that’s even fuller featured and less software reliant. In the same price range as this too.
There’s some nice features, tho. Not convinced by image quality tho.
Na the ATEM doesnt have 4k IO
@@JoeGallantChurchComms Atem and Osee do not have 4k. This device adds a higher quality then its processors
Is this the right one looks interesting

So awesome. Would have loved this 3 years ago :)
lol would have saved me so much money having this 5 years ago instead of the set up i had with cam links and other crazy stuff l
It would also work well with a product such as the Yolobox Ultra, in which you switch between cameras on the Ulanzi and send the feed via HDMI to the Yolobox Ultra's HDMI 1 and then add graphics and such and lower the workload on the Yolobox.
Yahooo. I need that!
Great video! Just filmed my 4th podcast this would definitely be a huge level up 🔥🔥🔥
Magnets for the win.
Nice review! Thank you!
Is the USB port interchangeble between PGM PVW or Multiview?
Nice video. What options do you use for recording?

Interesting item.
This thing is awesome and I want it maybe, when I get HDMI cameras
nice

works for record?, i will do a podcast set up so do you think this device works for record and post production?
Wow amazing 🎉❤
I like it but in order to record I need to add recording device?
So can you hdmi through the loop through 4k HDMI connection a Atomos Ninja V to record in 4k?
Just a quick question does all the HDMI inputs accept 4k signals
Does this have an output of 4K 30p visa the USB?

all inputs and output on 4k?
Any word of a case and monitor for this? Ulanzi or R2 plus?
Some very cool features. I hope Black Magic is watching
I wish someone would build one with proper audio inputs!
What monitor do you use ? Can this switcher be used with monitor
this is very nice. im. looking for a switcher that can split 3 images
Here for Ulanzi switcher
Can I record in 4k with this? If so, how?

I have Sony's as well. Waiting on my delivery. I have the Mini and bought this because I want 4K out via USB-C.
@@AlistairPugin Any news on that ?
Can I connect a black magic to switcher studios? If your answer is yes how do I do it
Don't kno how to feel about this since it's their first device of this type, while Elgato, Avermedia & BlackMagic are at the top of the ladder
Have to admit that for small mixers, Osee has destroyed BlackMagic and all their competition.
Ok this lil switcher is a lil something
No keying functions? So you can't put a logo on top of the video out?
No computer control via the LAN, or direct streaming either. Opportunity for some improvements, eh?
This needs to have 1/4 inch at least for the mic inputs
oh, its missing streaming features. dang.
Thank you wifeloveyou al ways

How about me?? :)
So small for what it can do.
Cross fade looks jerky
i will have to double check that, because it might have been me going at that pace of the fade during the demonstration
@@MrBlackReviews I don’t think it’s you. It was a fairly smooth movement but it looked staggered as if it was moving in increments.

it lacks a small display, so it does not need a screen and it lacks the ability to connect to wifi... so, thank you, but no thank you
