  • In this video we are taking our Mahindra Emax 20S HST Tractor and grading our driveway. Living on a hill this will probably end up being an annual part of maintenance, but we will see how well this fix holds.

That's quite the driveway you have sir! Guess having to level it all is one downside of a rock / gravel drive way - but I love the look and I wouldn't want to pay to have it paved! You are doing great work - keep it up! And we both know you're the trusty assistant Shane - Deanna is clearly the boss around there! Tractor on!

Haha yea, doubt we will ever get this thing paved. Lol, she did do the majority of the manual work with the rake while I kept driving back and forth to get more gravel. She is quite the hard worker! Thanks for watching sir! - Shane

Nice work! Im always impresses by how strong these little tractors are! Still think 1000 trips with the tractor is better than shoveling it 😉, take care

Thanks! Oh for sure...definitely beats trying to haul that all down by hand via cart or hiring someone to do it for us haha. The diesel is actually fairly fuel efficient as well. We were able to do all that on one tank of fuel! :) Thanks fo watching! - Shane

@@DnSAdventures ive been quite surprised at how fuel efficent my mahindra max 26 xlt is as well. Mine seems to burn about a gallon per hour. Take care

I want one of these so bad, I have the cash for one but wondering if I can justify buying it. Looks pretty light should be able to fit it on my 6x10 dump trailer

It may have been a 'rocky' start, but I give you a high 'grade' on this one. Lots of work but worth it doing it yourself.

Haha thanks! Yea, after all the rain we have lately there is still more work to be done. But luckily it is starting to cool down a tad to make the experience more enjoyable haha. Thanks for watching! - Shane

    Hi.
have a question for ya... with your box blade, have you tried to cut a drainage ditch of some kind.. if so would ya mind posting a vid. we have two high hills that meet with a low spot and it gets very wet, puddles even year after year.... summer isn't too bad as it dries up by right now tons of standing water and I would rather not buy a plow of some kind when I have a box scrapper that might do the trick with one tooth down. I may just attack it but thought I'd ask first.
    thanks.
    Glenn.

Hey Glenn, not something I have attempted yet, although part of my driveway definitely needs this done too. Ive seen different attachments for the front end loader that can act as a scoop to dig things out. I imagine you could tilt the box blade to the side a bit to dig a ditch though. Probably just have to take multiple swipes, but it can definitely dig a rut fairly well as we found out along our trails. - Shane

@@DnSAdventures well we tried it and kinda worked... too wet for now but the tires left enough of a groove with the one tooth down that some water started to drain.. will have to wait till spring when it dries up and try again , will put in a drainage pipe aswell .
did you end up getting anymore toys for the tractor?
      Glenn.

Ah the joys of drainage issues haha. We don't have standing water issues as much as it just ripping our driveway away haha. No new toys yet, but I am sure I will convince Deanna that we "need" some sooner rather than later haha. Have a good one! - Shane
