- Hey all, I didn't see a ton of videos on the Mahindra Emax 20s' Mid Mount Mower...and I just got one, so here it is! Hopefully this helps you in your decision making process of whether to get one or not. Let me know if you have any questions in the comments below and I will answer to the best of my ability. Hi it’s great to see your videos! My Mahindra 20 ES HST I purchased on purpose with loader, mid mount mower and backhoe after I tried some other equipment I have like Cub Cadet zero turn, Husqvarna and DR walk behind which all have some limitations on steep slopes and handling thick 6’ grass and dips and rocks here in NC mountains so I got the Mahindra and it’s awesome beyond belief One comment that may help you is that the front loader is actually of great help as I keep it low to bend tall shrubs down as I’m mowing between 3.5” and 4” and it’s great…… also, fyi when I go up or down 30 degrees uneven terrain the loader is a great balancer as I also simultaneously use the backhoe to swing sideways as counterweighting ….. Man the tractor runs forever on 6 gallons of diesel
Ask me what is next for Mahindra and it’s a thumb attachment to pickup rocks logs etc

Well isn't that fancy! I think that is going to get a lot of use, and with a yard that big having something that will save you on time mowing it will really come in handy.

When mowing, just take the front bucket off with the quick attach. Should give you more room and visability
If will mow at 4 inches. Your grass will actually regrow slower and, no more scalping and the grass will do better in heat and in cold!
i stumbled upoun your video looking for a part lol, i own a Emax as well and the tractor itself is great, but the mower deck is not the best, it has giving me alot of problems, watch out for the adjustment bolts, since they ride on the pins

Good question, I have done that a couple times in areas where there was higher grass (over a foot tall) and the deck seemed to get through it just fine. Not sure the exact number, but probably around 6-7 inches I would guess, maybe a bit more. I'll try to remember to go out there and get a measurement for ya. - Shane
What is the max width of the mower deck? Would it fit through a 57" gate?
I believe they say the "working width" from wheel to wheel is 54 inches, however that protective plastic flap that goes down on the side goes up to about 67 inches total in width. What I did to make some tighter areas was actually punch a hole through the plastic and put a piece of paracord in a knot to be able to lift up that flap whenever I get into a tight space. (Tied the other end up near the controls so I can easy reach it). Problem is that protective flap kind of locks down into place when you install it. So I've probably damaged that flap in the process because it isn't really designed to be raised up and down like that haha. I figured who cares, it is plastic, if I ever needed it replaced I could probably buy a spare. I think it would still be a very tight fit obviously if you tried to make that work. Not sure what the exact width is when folded up like that, it might still extend a little past the 54" deck. - Shane
Does yours tractor not ha e a float or drift setting on the rear hydraulics?
Not that I am aware of, but that would be a sweet feature.

Not that I am aware of, but I am not familiar with any other mower deck for the emax20s other than the stock. - Shane

I believe so. The emax series itself is built by TYM as well, very similar to RK brand. - Shane
@@DnSAdventures thank you for the fast reply. By local mahindra dealer has emax decks in stock for $4000 but tym decks are $2200 and it’s the same tractor. Might as well save 2k going with the manufacture of the emax tym deck at gnat point

I also have been breaking a lot of items on the deck because of tree roots, rocks and low stumps. I hope you have better luck with this unit and I would love to hear how it is going
Nice! That should help a lot of folks out there. The mower deck found a random piece of junk metal in the yard last time I mowed...haven't looked under the deck for damage because I am afraid to haha. If that didn't cause any damage though, so far I've had some pretty good luck. Thing does make a bit of noise...not sure if I just need to tighten up a few things or what, but fairly happy with it so far. - Shane

found this and maybe it will help you with the on and off of the deck. I don't have a mower deck on mine as we already have a lawn tractor.
funny thing are not made like they use to plug and play , I'm finding most of my stuff I have to adjust it for some reason aswell.

Hey thanks sir. Yes, that was a very helpful video...I actually looked it up while installing the mower haha. Turns out there aren't a ton of videos out there on the install process, but hopefully their video and this one will help others visualize what they need to do.
