Just wanted to give a 3 year review! thanks Marshall . because of this video and you and your knowledge on mahindra I am still extremely satisfied with my emax 22 TLB....! Thanks again Marshall I could not live without it now.
Great video Marshal - thanks for taking the time. I have a 2015 BX25D on 9 acres and I use the hell out of it. It’s reliable as hell and tough as a 2 dollar steak! Based on this video, and others I’ve seen, the Mahindra is a pretty sweet rig as well. If you’re looking for feedback: I’d really love to see how they all handle the revolving seat. My only complaint on the Kubota is that the rotating seat is quite a hassle. Every time I need the backhoe I have to: stop, brake, jump off, swing around the chair, climb in - use the backhoe - then to move it forward: climb off the backhoe, turn around the seat, climb back on, unlock brake, move it 4-5 feet, then go through it all again to use the backhoe. It makes for a cumbersome pain in the ass (also, I’m 6’3”). It’d be helpful to see how the Mahindra and the Kioti handle it. Thanks again.
Not a fair comparison considering you're measuring an 8 year old Kubota up against new Mahandras and Kiotis. The new 23s is a far better and improved model and would have been a more honest comparison.

I've used em all as well, in rural Maine no less, and they are all very comparable! Nothin wrong with being loyal to your machine, kubota a killer ride, but they're all nice rigs. And you definitely pay 10-15% more for the Kubota name! Like Rolex and Omega, Omega is just as nice as timepiece as Rolex all day long, better in many cases, but your paying close to double for the name! Just sayin
Kind of wondering cost difference. I do like the wider stance on the Mahindra though. Good presentation, I do wonder if you can do a forklift attachment as I might need to flood pallets in the future.

I would buy one for a toy, instead of a radio controlled one, just for fun, & frustrations. They are big enough to cost you expensive outlays, if you tear up the wrong utility! Think insurance, as part of your cost. Very interesting & informative video, thanks! Got to get in bed, skin Dr. Appointment, in the morning!👍🏻🤩💵

And ironically just like you would with JD, with Kubota you'll pay significantly more for the name and paint color.

@@Travide it only had 30 hours on it when I got it. Warranty wasnt "transferable " according to the dealership. It's got like 200 hours on it now, and first thing to go was the mount on the hydraulics. It only had 2 bolts where there should have been 4. Right now it won't start due to a safety short somewhere. Tried to brute start with an auxiliary button and still won't start. I'm trouble shooting every wire and I've had to break down the rear end to get to the wires. It could be the solinoid but the dealer hasn't got back with a price for it. Or a new air filter, or oil filter, which needs changing for many hours now. I have a fault code of 3 long 3 short. They won't tell me what it is unless I bring it in. I feel like a crack head trying to get a fix from my "dealer". So my experience with this thing has not been good, concerning working on it. When it's running, I do get stuff done, but it's been done now longer than I've had it running. I hope this answers some questions on its viability.
What is the dump clearance on these and the newer Kubota. All the way up on the loader with the bucket turned down to check clearance for dumping into a pickup bed. Thanks for the review!
I have a kioti 2410 with less than 500 hours, just had to have welding work done on it. The steel is not hardened, very brittle. It has the power, but with a weak frame I'm looking at more welding work in the future.
A great vid, thank you. Quick question. You concentrated on the Back hoe and shovel, but very little info on the ‘tractor’ aspects. How are they at ploughing and tilling?
I had a Kubota bx25 for 8 years and just replaced it with a Mahindra Emax 20s last year. I have worked both of them very hard and while the Mahindra does a very good job of most tasks, the Kubota is just hands down the tougher more capable vehicle. Loader removal and reattachment, backhoe attachment and removal and just the general thoughtfulness of how things are put together goes to Kubota. On the plus side for Mahindra is the convenience of the quick attach skid steer mounting of front implements. I would also venture to suggest that the Kubota is the safer of the two machines to operate. Small amount of buyer regret here.
I hear people say they are "the best" , but when you compare the Kioti features and engineering to the Kubota, it's no competition. Kioti has passed and surpassed Kubota in quality and design. That's why they have taken a huge percentage of kubota's market share as well
Interesting ‘21 BX2380 here 200h now. I like the fender joystick a lot. There is a MMM technique where you use the bucket to lift the front wheels and slide the mower out. Pesky PTO connection though. Also, there is a HydrosPlus aftermarket cylinder set that increases height by 12” and lift by 33%. Does all I need now, nice machine.
Kubota does offer R1 or Ag tires. Ya didn't mention emissions at all. I worked at a Kubota dealership for a few years til 2016. (Parts sales) I was always told Mahindra didn't have DEF systems because their motors were built to run clean enough without . Don't know if that's true or not.
Nice to see you having the Kioti in with them to compare the difference i was told my engine was a daedong in my cs2410 i will have to look but great video ! if i had the money i would take one of ea. they are all nice tractors !! have a great day ! Kioti Curt :-)
@@forcesightknight Hi sorry did not see your post and so for just the wire on the fuel shutoff broke and it would not start but now i think my key switch is going out or a safty switch you get on and turn the key just clicks and dose not turn over some times ! so now i have to find and fix that ! what have you had problems with ?? Kioti Curt :-)
@@KiotiCS my start system had problems as well. A wire somewhere went bad so I added a button start under the seat. I've also gone thru 2 hydraulic cylinders for the bucket, the rod pulled out from the inner plug threads. I ordered my new replacement from northern hydraulics. The rod length is shorter but the rod has twice the diameter. My hydraulic controls had a bad mount, whomever assembled it only used 2 bolts to mount it and the crappy steel they used eventually fatigued and failed, I machined a new one from a piece of actual angle iron. I am currently machining a new mount for the drive rod that goes to the front end 4x4 system. The U mount that the flange and bearing mount to sheared off at the bottom of the U. For that I am using a pie email of box steel that I have had to grind down to accommodate for the flywheel because I have it running across to the other side. I may have to remove it and rework it if a want to mount a mower deck. While down there is noticed the the frame is cracked right by the welds that are there. All of this and it and it only has a little over 300 hours. Unfortunately the warranty is up. I'm also having a fault code of three long, three short and the dealer would take tell me what it is, only to bring good it in so they can look at it. Now I know what a junky must feel like when their drug dealer won't hook them up anymore. I just need a fix.
@@forcesightknight Sorry to hear that mine has just over 200 hr on it the 4x4 has been fine just starting problems but it runs good and the backhoe is nice and it runs a tiller good too !
@@KiotiCS I looked into the backhoe, for the price I think I'm going to go with a stand alone trailer trencher of comparable size. That way I can do twice the work in half the time without resetting the system. I can have the trencher on the truck and move dirt with the bucket of the tractor. HE sells one, but I'm going with a DR or somthing made in the good ol USA,made with actual steel and not whatever crap is coming from Asia.
@@Gwalker0220 Mahindra just bolts on parts from others and subcontracts everything their machines have no consistency. I know for a fact they do not stand behind their products and parts are very difficult to find. I'm trying to decide between Kioti and Kubota but haven't found a good comparison "apples to apples". In my area the Kioti is significantly less expensive in south Texas but not sure on long term reliability or parts.
@@efraseleman55 I would go kioti. I love kubota but for the price you get alot of what would be options on a kubota... Search u tube for kioti... I've heard there very dependable and lift more...
Current Bx's do not offer true ag tires. Cab is something that was just released and we learned is now available, however it has not been an option for many years! Only aftermarket. But also keep in mind the cabs are only dealer installed, not factory cabs!
Like how you stress the Mahindra WILL have a two armrest seat but repeatedly state throughout the video we are not talking about the current models and there's no bias. Right. The Kubota has had the skidsteer quick attach STANDARD since 2017. Face it, Kubota eats your lunch every day haha!!
Just got the new emax in with dual arm rests in to eat my lunch on lol. The quick attach was not a standard feature for awhile. We were unaware of it becoming standard. Kubota makes a decent sub compact tractor, there is a reason they sell so many. No need to get ur feathers all ruffled
I KNOW I didn't see him walk under that raised bucket. Another point just because the mahindra has 4 cylinders does not make it lift faster.2 of those were to dump the bucket.
Nice machines.... BUT, IMO, a Massey Ferguson GC1710/1720TLB is superior to all of these many ways and is probably more reasonably priced. If your in the market for a compact, do your homework, decide the best machine for your needs and DO include the Massey in your search...
Dude , i suggest, and this is me , you want to compare, do a full 8 hr day , plowing , shredding, digging, then i would say at this point you had a decent amount of comparison of the three , just a suggestion...
I didn’t hear a mention that the Kubota hydraulic lines are not exposed like the other 2 tractors. The loader and backhoe lines on the Mahindra and Kioti could easily be smashed or caught on a tree limb and broken. Whereas the Kubotas lines are ran inside the frame of the loader and backhoe.
They are all sub compact tractors and for the most part the 3 cylinder loaders work great. But the 4 piston will definitely increase the loader lift capacity and stability on loader lifting.
i service sub compacts for a living. there really is no need for a 4 piston system on a frame of this size. these units dont have a lot of break out force. theyre good for moving gravel and mulch.
Dual piston Mahindra loader has 2k lb break out force kubota 3 cylinder and cs series 3 cylinder loaders have around 1000-1.4k lbs break out force. So there is a difference. But I would agree on a tractor this size it is not necessary to have a 4 piston loader. But the 4 piston will give a slight advantage.
The true comparison would be is how they hold up after about 1500-2000 hours of operation. The one with the least trouble is the winner. What you are doing is hardly more than a sales pitch.
First, it's easy to design and build a tractor to compete and exceed that of an existing tried and trued model. Second, Do you think it's remotely fair to compare two 2018 models against a 2008 or 2010 model........... Always compare apples to apples...........no bias intended..
Ok so it's later 2019 and I'm looking at sub compacts Kubota, John Deere, and Massey Ferguson. I've been told by some dealers that Kubota doesn't scoop or dig like their machine, that kubota hydraulics are under rated and or weak. I don't want a good priced loader backhoe combo that has terrible scoop and dig performance. Any suggestion?
Where's the Massey Ferguson GC1710/1720? If you look at them all and I think you're gona find a winner. I did, GC1710 TLB. I love it! But it is what your looking for in engine size vs hp, pto hp, not taking off 3 point to put back hoe on, etc. Chevy, Ford, Dodge, etc it's the same thing
they are all within a few thousand of each other and for me.... that sealed the deal. Would I buy a tractor whit questionable parts support, long term reliability, and spotty dealerships..... or go with a well know Japanese brand whos name is as recognizable as Honda or Toyota. I went with the Kubota and in my view the other 2 are overpriced. I mean with them almost being the same price.... why would you take the chance?
@Matt88 You better do your research... Mahindra as a company gives its customers the run around when it comes time for warranty work. They tell you your dealer is responsible for the work and the dealer tells you Mahindra is supposed to pay for the warranty work... and you need your machine fixed so you can get back to work so you just buy the part and fix it yourself... Mahindra's Warranty is useless. The 7 years is BS, If you own a farm, then that's commercial use, if you own a garden center that's commercial use, if you have a contract to clear snow for your neighbor, that's commercial use, and your warranty just went to 3 years and became significantly more restricted, but that doesn't matter because they will find a way not to honor their warranty anyway and they exercise ZERO influence over their dealerships so you have no recourse if you are unhappy. Mahindra IS NOT BETTER BUILT than anyone. You will have endless electrical problems and if you look carefully they're already showing rust through the paint by the time they get to the dealership. They are a little larger and heavier, that's true, but they simply are not better built. I like Kubota a lot too but if you look into the stats of all the TLBs out there the MF GC1720 is the beast out of all of them and the LS MT125 has the heaviest and most capable FEL and BH. Kubota is good, but you're paying a lot for that name which is ironic because Kubota Guys chuck crap at JD guys for that exact thing.
Actually in my area anyway the quote I got on a Mahindra was $1000 more than the comparable Kubota. That's a no brainier eliminated Mahindra from my decision
Er, how about proven track record, reliabilitiy....? Not like you are comparing Toyota and Hyundai, Hyundai having an excellent reputation for reliability and value for money. The Mahindra has an awful reputation, like the Chinese stuff. My local dealer is seeing lots of his clients trading in 2 year old Chinese brands, and going back to Kubota, at a premium price. This is down to unreliability, electronic problems, electrical problems....now if Hyundai started producing tractors, I'd take a look!@Matt88
I wish you added a price comparison so we're comparing apples with apples. I like to know the servicing required by each models. Which one is the Fiat of tractor world? Fiat stands for "Fix it again Tony"!
Kubota BX23 series with cab options and several other "new" options were introduced in March 2016. This video was made April 2018. The BX23s is no longer "new". So we are comparing two new tractors to one that has been out of production for over two years. I'm struggling to see the value here.
You mean BX25? in the video? The Mahindra in the video is also not the current model. This video was just made to show and educate on similar machines all side by side
The BX cab is very nice. I have one on my BX23S. It is a Curtis cab. Very well built and available upon purchase of the tractor. So, while not factory, it is designed and built for the tractor.
the BX23S is new / current - came out in summer 2017, I'm dealing on one now (the BX25, and BX25D are older Kubota models) - comparison is only what they have on the lot - perhaps they could have borrowed a BX23S and a John Deere for the video.
Thanks for the comment. Pricing varies dealer to dealer. and in different areas of the country. However I can tell you all 3 of these machines will be priced in the 18,500-24,000 range depending on current promotions and financing options and estimated dealer markup.
That's because the only way to find a comparably priced Kubota is to buy an old one with high hours. The premium cost doesn't stop there. The parts are ridiculously high too.
The radiator screen may be clogged or air filter. Haven't seen any issues with these emax's over heating. And have sold hundreds of them over the years. Run tractor at 540 pto speed if working it, if you are bogging it down it can get hotter. thanks
@@orchardhillfarmequipment4347 i always run at 540 when using implements.....i love the tractor other than that. I think the dealership determines whether a person has a good or bad experience.
I have found that the hood and inlet screen AND Radiator ingest alot of dust/debris when mowing, or kicking up/working dirt. Constant hood/inlet screen, radiator cleaning/compressed air blow out, helps ALoT.... I clean mine every 1hr of Work., now.
Fantastic comparison with great info. Really helpful. It's a struggle to listen/watch the video though due to low/poor quality audio. Perhaps consider investing in a lapel-mic or shotgun mic.
Actually your comment on Kubota being the first, sorry Case was building these tractors as early as the early 70's. They didn't have 3 point hitches but other than that they are the same. If you want verification I can send you a picture of my old Case 6018, yes it is beat to hell but it works.
Such wonderful information and educational... Specially for us 1st timers. A kind suggestion: A Lapel Microphone will improve your Audio tremendously. Small investment for improved quality video.
Where are these three made? Nice comparison video. I heard what you said about the kubota being a little older and the mahindra also not being the latest model. I’d like to know where they are made and if possible an approximate price range for the three brands for these very similar models. Being that they are all very similar in size and functionality, I think price and dealer proximity would be the major determining factors. Also, since you sell all three brands can you make mention of warranties for them? Thanks.
No bias, but I'm going to guess at heights, not line them up, compare new tractors with old, etc. Sorry, your video is basically a Mahindra advertisement. Let's now compare the resale value... let's see how well the Mahindra performs with the same hours on it as the Kubota... Let's compare models the same age... actually, better not. Your favourite might not come out looking so good. But no bias!
Daedong Had a partnership and bought into shabirua, however that partnership has ended and Kioti is moving towards building everything themselves to not have to be relying on other companys. Shabirua had a partnership with new holland as well and produced a similar machine

When it's running, I do get stuff done, but it's been done now longer than I've had it running. I hope this answers some questions on its viability.
Hi Marshall
You didn't include a price comparison.
What is the dump clearance on these and the newer Kubota. All the way up on the loader with the bucket turned down to check clearance for dumping into a pickup bed. Thanks for the review!
I'll take the kioti
yep
73leo73 nope
Same Here - I have a CK3510 and it is amazing
Nice comparison....time to call Kubota dealer..
Are rear mowers options for these tractors?
I have a kioti 2410 with less than 500 hours, just had to have welding work done on it. The steel is not hardened, very brittle. It has the power, but with a weak frame I'm looking at more welding work in the future.
Good job Mr. Kirby -- Just ignore the trolls, your review was indeed helpful!
Can a grasa cutter ve attached to these
Well, you sold me on Kubota.
lol, hope that was sarcasm
What about after the sale service from Mahindra, or Coyote?
Kubota 80 series all the way
How exposed to damage are the hydraulic steering cylinders on these machines?
Mahindra sorted their electrical yet? Had one loved it but always had non stop electrical issues. Dealer fixed but after 4 separate issues I sold it.
Gotrek12345 which Mahindra and what year? 4 issues over how long?
Mahindra is 7,000$ more in this configuration than the Kioti. Also the Kioti has a metal hood. I have one, wouldn’t trade it for anything.
The kioti does not have a metal hood unless you have a different model maybe I just test drove one yesterday and the cs was plastic
What is the difference between the Mahindra eMax and 1100?
Glad I got a kubota , they also have a drive over deck option, and glass cab , that’s what I got with heat
A great vid, thank you. Quick question. You concentrated on the Back hoe and shovel, but very little info on the ‘tractor’ aspects.
How are they at ploughing and tilling?
well... shit i took one of our old plows and cut 2 furrows off and my bx struggles with it lol the things boredom will make you do
I had a Kubota bx25 for 8 years and just replaced it with a Mahindra Emax 20s last year.
Kubota... the answer is always Kubota. They're the Toyota Hilux of the tractor world and they're just better made then the others.
Ground clearance?
A new BX 80 series would blow the other two machines out of the water. And Kubota’s engine is legendary. The best of the best
I think you could easily say their engines are all well regarded.
I hear people say they are "the best" , but when you compare the Kioti features and engineering to the Kubota, it's no competition. Kioti has passed and surpassed Kubota in quality and design.
That's why they have taken a huge percentage of kubota's market share as well
@@kevincosma7945 also Mahindra blew John Deere to shame
Pretty clear Kubota got it right in the beginning and kept it that way.
Thanks for the video .. though outdated it still provided good info and things to lookout for .. greetings from the bottom of Australia . .
I thought you were going to actually do a comparison. The lift capacity shoukd have been an actual test.
Very good comparison just wish you would have shown how to turn the seat
Nice to see you having the Kioti in with them to compare the difference i was told my engine was a daedong in my cs2410 i will have to look but great video ! if i had the money i would take one of ea. they are all nice tractors !! have a great day ! Kioti Curt :-)
I have a 2410 as well, have you have many problems? Mine has been nothing but
@@forcesightknight Hi sorry did not see your post and so for just the wire on the fuel shutoff broke and it would not start but now i think my key switch is going out or a safty switch you get on and turn the key just clicks and dose not turn over some times ! so now i have to find and fix that ! what have you had problems with ??
The current BX does have a dealer-installed glass cab available.
Kubota all the way baby
Biggest thing i noticed was how quiet the kioti was when starting and running
Nice observation! The kioti is definitely the most quiet!
I've got a cs2410. Its quiet and runs strong. I really do love it. It's a great tractor and it's far better built than I expected.
I know nothing about these, on here learning, but yea sounds way better
Well if ya add closed cell foam insulation under the hood. It will make a huge difference.
Not compatible to a NEW Kubota,. That one is nearly a decade old...
this is a very good video where a man takes 20 min to explain that the difference between these three tractors is a 2 min conversation at best
So you are comparing a 2010 Kubota to a new model Mahindra?
He said they don't sell new kubota's please listen closely or did you expect him to purchase a new Kubota for the video just curious
Even then kubota wins. Mahindra is a pos
@@efraseleman55 Utube search NB88. He has one that is really nice and its six years old...
You can get ag tires on some BXs and cabs are available on the new ones. Also the loaded moves on the BX at idle, that one seems worn out.
Nice review very informative. Wish the BX was newer but still great review.
Which tractor is a better quality and more reliable tractor, Kioti or a Massey Feeguson?
I KNOW I didn't see him walk under that raised bucket. Another point just because the mahindra has 4 cylinders does not make it lift faster.2 of those were to dump the bucket.
You can keep that kabota, the kioti is by far the best tractor for the money.Tym is a close second and even more economical and unmatched lift capacity
why not test with Yanmar against these?
allen Henry he was just using what’s on the lot of his dealership.
Or Branson or Tym or LS? Frankly I'm not aware of a Yanmar dealer within 50 miles of me.
Nice machines.... BUT, IMO, a Massey Ferguson GC1710/1720TLB is superior to all of these many ways and is probably more reasonably priced. If your in the market for a compact, do your homework, decide the best machine for your needs and DO include the Massey in your search...
Hmmm...Is`nt that another Iseki?
Looking tractors now, this was very helpful.
I have a KIOTI and love it.
What’s the parts availability,and durability
Mahindra model is made by TYM... i have that one as a TYM 254.. great unit
I am sure somone could custom fabricate a tin box to cover around part of it and bolt it on somehow
What's your take on the single cylinder dump/curl for the loader.
I own a 2016 Emax 22 with a 3 piston loader. It's specs are exactly the same as the 4 piston. Works great.
I didn’t hear you say what fuel was used in each unit
its diesel...
Très belle vidéo
Trois beau tracteurs
Ils sont différents mais super équipés ,
l'idéale serait de les essayer pour faire son choix👍👍👍
You and your crew did a great job...
Thanks!
I got my money on Kubota
The true comparison would be is how they hold up after about 1500-2000 hours of operation. The one with the least trouble is the winner. What you are doing is hardly more than a sales pitch.
Actually, pretty damn fair assessments. Color me impressed.
What’s the resale value between them
Cost?
What is the average starting price on the tractors?
I think in my honest opinion the Mahindra's are a hard machine to beat especially if you just want a real tractor at the end of the day
What did you come up with in purchasing?
Where's the Massey Ferguson GC1710/1720? If you look at them all and I think you're gona find a winner. I did, GC1710 TLB. I love it! But it is what your looking for in engine size vs hp, pto hp, not taking off 3 point to put back hoe on, etc. Chevy, Ford, Dodge, etc it's the same thing
MF? Or an Iseki?
I looked at the MF.... the seat is terrible no cushion or spring...
would like to see John Deere & TYM also and how about New Holland .??
You didn’t tell about pricing
they are all within a few thousand of each other and for me.... that sealed the deal.
LS have been slated on UA-cam......

I wish you added a price comparison so we're comparing apples with apples. I like to know the servicing required by each models. Which one is the Fiat of tractor world?
Fiat stands for "Fix it again Tony"!
Deere is tractor Fiat for sure.
Also BX cab is a dealer installed cab, not factory.
@@orchardhillfarmequipment4347, where is the education in comparison of older dissimilar models?
Great video but would like to know what the difference in price.
Thanks for the comment. Pricing varies dealer to dealer. and in different areas of the country. However I can tell you all 3 of these machines will be priced in the 18,500-24,000 range depending on current promotions and financing options and estimated dealer markup.
Lol comparing an old Kubota to two brand new tractors makes me want a Kubota more.
That's because the only way to find a comparably priced Kubota is to buy an old one with high hours. The premium cost doesn't stop there. The parts are ridiculously high too.
I have a mahindra 22 emax...seems to have over heating problems...they really need larger radiators in them
The radiator screen may be clogged or air filter.
I think the dealership determines whether a person has a good or bad experience.
and a temp gauge
I have found that the hood and inlet screen AND Radiator ingest alot of dust/debris when mowing, or kicking up/working dirt.
Constant hood/inlet screen, radiator cleaning/compressed air blow out, helps ALoT....
I clean mine every 1hr of Work., now.
Fantastic comparison with great info. Really helpful. It's a struggle to listen/watch the video though due to low/poor quality audio. Perhaps consider investing in a lapel-mic or shotgun mic.
Proce for mahimdra? With cab
Actually your comment on Kubota being the first, sorry Case was building these tractors as early as the early 70's. They didn't have 3 point hitches but other than that they are the same. If you want verification I can send you a picture of my old Case 6018, yes it is beat to hell but it works.
What’s the price difference on the tractors
Where is the 1025r?
My Mahinda Max 25. 7 years. Zero issues.
I think the biggest difference is what the cost and attachments you get. There all good tell something brakes.
Price differences? Pretty obvious the Mahindra offer a little more so where are they on price.
Maybe its changed but last time I looked at a Kioti subcompact, the dealer told me it was a rebranded New Holland
Daedong Had a partnership and bought into shabirua, however that partnership has ended and Kioti is moving towards building everything themselves to not have to be relying on other companys. Shabirua had a partnership with new holland as well and produced a similar machine
