I was looking around for a pattern. After years of sewing I am still not confident enough to make my own pattern. BUT I saw this tutorial WOW exactly what I need clear and simple directions. I am sure I can do finally do this!!
Ok Kate! You just solved a problem I have been encountering and didn’t know how to handle. The minute you said « you need to get your hand in » I knew you were my solver !!! Thank you so much 😊 !!!!
I just love your easy tutorial, & wanted to thank you for taking the time & effort in posting it ~ it's been VERY helpful! I wasn't doing the clip in half & make a dart, so to speak, & i couldn't figure how my pattern just wasn't quite as full or useful as it should be. The dart was the key! Thanks again!
Thanks for this little reminder that's a HUGE help. I'm gonna cut slits & add triangles to make mine bigger just like with a dress, it should be quite effective.
THANK YOU I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE THIS OUT FOR SO LONG AND NOTHING WAS WORKING seriously thank you so much, I might actually manage to make this purse now :)
Ok great video. I just tried to make this with leather. But after you splay out the original to make the final pattern, the top of the bag is now wider than the kisslock clasp. Do you have another video after this one showing how you solve this problem? Or do you have a video that shows how to use leather? Please and thank you.
Hi there! Yes, I have also used this method for the sew-in clasps and it works well. You just fold the tops of the purse fabric over at the top towards the inside of the purse. Then push the folded edge into the clasp before sewing in place! Hope that makes sense! xx
Hi there! The pattern works like this, as it needs to have extra space. Otherwise, when you open the purse it would be really tight and you wouldn't be able to get anything inside it! :)

Thank you very much. Very clear. But pse use a black felt pen. We cant see it clearly with the screen& the captions in between your hands.
Thank you Nirupa! Good tip, I'll do that next time xx

When you splayed the pattern you changed the shape of the top that needs to match the shape of the clasp... ???

Porque nao acha o feiche. Da bolsa da vovo para comprar?
Sew easy. My problem in last has been not knowing the correct way to add the extra.
Please use a dark marker as you draw lines... cannot see pencil even at full screen
Thank you for your feedback :)
Do you have a pattern for a square frame?
Hi there! The technique is exactly the same for a square frame - you just need to go through the same process :) xx
didnt work for me.. there wasn't any allowance at the top for sewing and when turned over it was far too small to fit the frame
- Thanx for making the pattern so easy to understand but your pencil wasn't dark enough to give a true graphic of the pattern lines. Thanx anyway.
