hi Kate your tutorial IS BY FAR THE BEST.i followed another tutorial and it didnt come out well!!!I shall get a set of kiss locks n follow you. Your voice is soft and not wearing... a natural.
thanks for your tutorial, just had my first go at this. I was making a vintage-style specs case/pouch with the kiss-lock clasp. It was much harder than I thought, maybe because I was using velvet lined with satin - two slippery fabrics. The pouch ended up being not wide enough to fit in the frame properly, but I managed to get it attached with the right amount of glue and extra twine. It is ok, just a bit wonky. I will try again sometime
Kaz you are brave...well done.i am sticking with linen. i got ideas from Humicho Yiguchi embroidery book. She uses linen. I can understand why you used velvet gorgeous fabric.
Thank you so much for a great video... I'm anxious to get started on one or two for myself... Lol I just love to listen to you talk... And I have to tell you, you are very beautiful!! Thank you for the video...
random question, do you know if it would be possible to convert a purse with a zipper into a purse with a kiss clasp? Thank you wonderful video by the way!
Hi there! It could be possible, but depends on the size and shape of the purse. And you'd have to remove the zip. I think it would be far easier to start from scratch if I'm honest! And thank you :)
Hi Sarah! Thank you :) For a double clasp, you follow the same technique but you make the smaller purse first and then the larger outside one. I hope that helps! Thanks x
+The Makery It doesn't really help because I was talking about a clasp with 3 "branch" and so the purse have 2 compartments. But it's all right i improvised and the result is OK 😙👍
Thank you Santhi! Here is a link to the video which teaches you how to make a pattern ua-cam.com/video/mB_zp88dUuw/v-deo.html As it's different for each clasp. Good luck! Happy sewing :) x

Gosh, I love that fabric. Did you stamp the deer's head onto the fabric or was that there in the first place? I really liked that, thank you.
Thank you! The fabric was like that already. I'm afraid we've sold out, but it's a print by Echino. x
Great clear video, just one question, what size piping do you use, 3mm or 4mm? thanks

Is this the same process you'd use on a wooden frame which has screws?
Hi Sena, I'm afraid I've not tried this with a wooden frame with screws so I can't say for sure. I must do that though! Another video one day...
