DIY Lunchbox Transmission brace (5th shock alternative)

  • This is a homemade trans brace for the Tamiya Lunchbox. Made from materials I had laying around, it makes a good cheap alternative to the 5th shock mod.

    Or, just put a cable tie around D7/8 to lock the gearbox from moving up down. Much more simple.

      @@elliotthopkins8174 I like the idea that I can build it in as a break point too by using a small zip tie, instead of breaking the battery plate by using it as a semi-structural piece for the transmission

    I like the tyres, what are they?

      The tires are from an old Radio Shack Hot Machine 2 that I found at a thrift shop. They mount perfectly on the lunchbox wheels.
