I dread to count how many videos I’d watched since discovering you a couple of weeks ago, I’m obsessed! Your content is exactly what I’ve been looking for - someone to translate studies or bring them to light in a way people can understand. Thank you!! I have so much faith in your content, it’s helped me begin to build a better relationship around food as I have periods where I struggle with disordered eating, I know there’s a fine balance, but your content is helping me stay on the correct side of the line - thank you!!!

I am a nurse of 38 years, a critical care, Cardiology nurse… I appreciate your research and your understanding and respect for western medicine is separate from a holistic approach to well being. “Apples to oranges.” I often have patients ask why those of us practising medicine do not use herbs, sunlight, diet to treat patients. Truth is, I educate daily on all of these things but typically by the time the patient sees myself or the physician, they are in an acute state that needs to healed often times because of their lifestyle and choices.
I love the research data and studies that you reference. Patients often Google, and that is not necessarily a credible source. medical people do use journals, Test studies and research. I sincerely appreciate you and plan to direct patients to your videos when I’m teaching

Thomas, I'd really be interested in hearing more about what the cumulative benefits of regular fasting over time are (you talked about that around the 7:00 mark). I've been regularly fasting now for two years and I really do feel like a lot of things in my health have improved and it does seem like it gets easier over time. It reminds me of strength training in that regard. It's very encouraging to think that over time I'm deriving more and more benefits from fasting. Thanks as always for wonderful content!

I drink turmeric tea (Yogi Honey Chai Turmeric Vitality) during 14-15 hours fast and I love curry and I often add it into my meal
I don't know whether it's autophagy or whatsoever, but the most recent pulmonary (Feb 17) indicates my lung function completely restored from covid 2 years ago which caused lung damage
I do 14-15 hours intermittent fasting 3-4 days a week starting January

Turmeric contains 3-5% Curcumin. Turmeric has over 300 components with Curcumin being just one of them. Curcumin may be the most powerful compared to singular components but as a whole the whole root may be even more powerful. Personally, I take both, Curcumin and Turmeric with black pepper to enhance absorption.

I lost 8 kg with keto within 3 months. Than did a week Clenbuterol, it only did 3 kg. After that it haltered for a few days (Christmas, hehe) . And now I am doing keto omad with ACV and lifting heavier (researching technique made such a difference). Its too early to say how much weight Im losing, but I can see my body toning very fast and I feel amazing.

I was thinking about adding Clen to my regular 16:8 / 18:6 IF/Keto routine. Maybe you should try adding "Sibutramine" instead of clen. It makes fasting a breeze because it suppresses your appetite. I've been using it for 6 weeks now at 20mg. ( The recommended dose is 5-15mg, but my tabs only come in 20mg) It gives me a slight thermogenic effect, but it controlled my hunger, allowing me to fast longer without hunger. I've lost 14lbs in 6 weeks since using it and I only eat twice a day, whereas my second meal is never as full as my first because I'm not that hungry after eating my first meal.

so should I take curcumin ~2h after my last meal for the day, to jumpstart my fasting? Or should I take curcumin when I'm well into my fasting period to deepen it and help with autophagy?

I have this same question! For the last 6 months I’ve been drinking ginger root tea with turmeric after my OMAD supper. I wonder if it wouldn’t be more beneficial to drink it during my fast? I know you posted this comment a year ago so did you ever find out when a good time to drink this was?

@@healthhollow7218 I have been taking it ~8h into my fast (try to eat my last meal around 3pm and taking it just before going to bed) but IDK if that's optimal or not

@@MrKevlarkent thank you for your reply! I hear it’s good to have fat with turmeric (and of course a dash of black pepper) so I’m thinking maybe the fat in my dinner will amp up the ginger, turmeric tea I drink when starting my fast after supper. Although I would also like to try it during a fast like you do because it is actually very satiating and sometimes I am so full after I eat that I just don’t want anything else. I may try your method! Thank you 😊🙏
