Hey, thanks for checking out my mod! Glad you liked it. I did all of the play testing and balancing on Heroic so small things (like the plasma pistol overcharge) are a bit too OP on the lower difficulties, I'll get around to fine tuning that later on.
Do you have any plans/are you able to fix the continuity errors between the games? Like make the Forward Unto Dawn look right and have Chief not get his H4 armor until he is on the infinity?

Worst part about most modern shooters is they have the Campaign and Multiplayer use the same amount of ammo. It's find for a fhb to have 3 magazines in MP, where ammo is abundant bc people keep dying and the odds of you using all 3 mags are slim, but in the campaign I plan on staying alive the whole time. So I need MORE AMMO
Halo is about utilizing the entire weapon variety found through the game, the design has been based on you picking up new weapons along the way since the first one
@tskwared667 but, you aren't always FORCED to change weapons. Recently shooters have been forcing people to use "all available weapons". And no, it hasn't always been about swapping weapons often, it's about using the right weapon for the job. Grunts don't require a noob combo, elites can't as easily be killed with the AR. it's about the situation, not about "just keep swapping guns all the time"
Mantis mission>Mammoth mission The jungle opening is one of the only parts of the campaign that actually does something interesting with the encounters with the Prometheans with the Crawlers being able to climb around on the twisty trees and the holdout section with the Marines being the only time you fight Prometheans with allies, which makes the Knights a lot less annoying since they're not solely focused on you and always teleporting directly at you to melee kill you when they bezerk at low health. The Scorpion section is really good imo, and the Mantis ending is probably the highlight of 4's campaign. The Mammoth level has the Lich encounter and Sniper Alley, but the rest of it is really on rails and lackluster. (The Spartan Ops mission where you blow up a Lich is more fun imo)
the worst thing about spartan ops is that weapons disappear after a very short amount of time so you can die and then try and get a power weapon (like a sniper) back only to find out its been removed to protect the 256mb of ram the 360 had.
11:00 You can skip the entire combat encounter here by just sprinting toward the blast door and pushing it. I used to do it in co-op with my brother almost instantly. I wish this game had more sequence breaking
I love how they just flat out refused to arrest chief when the captain ordered, like no-one even tried to move...and then he proceeds to massacre like 50 guys.
I was gonna play Halo 4 recently on the MCC, because I figured I could use the unlimited ammo skull, and not have to use the wimpy ass promethian weapons... but no! Halo 4 doesn't have that skull. You have to play it their way!
As if the brutes in H3 are much better. The only time the ai in Halo felt smart was in CE, every other game they're easy to manipulate. You guys are giving the ai in Halo wayyy too much credit.

Just a minute in, I'm not judging the mod, but seeing that intro again just reminds me how hyped I was for Halo 4 and how disappointed I was when I played it on release.
The thing I remember most from the mammoth mission is when it goes through the river. Chief can walk through it, but there's a point where its deep enough that it goes over his head and kills him instantly if he crouches. Hilarious. Although I only played through the campaign once shortly after launch so it may have been patched who knows
it's been patched, the water kills you instantly if you touch it. (there steam coming off the water so it's probably either ludicrously hot or highly corrosive who knows)

I found Halo 4 pretty great even without any mods, especially the story with Cortana and the Forerunner-Human-War and flying with the new vehicles. I guess with this mods I'm going to be blown away

For someone who never played any halos, which one would you recommend? (I appreciate fluid gameplay, clear instructions on what to do and I'm skipping all cutscenes, so story coherency doesn't matter)
Halo 1 has a few levels that are easy to get lost in. Halo 3 and Reach have the most fluid and clear levels, but it's vaguely heresy to good storytelling to skip reach's cutscenes
If you want to skip the cutscenes then Halo single player isn't for you. All of the games in the MCC have great stories that enhance the overall game. Skipping the story is like eating cereal without milk, sure it's still cereal and it is faster to eat out of the box, but you just need the milk, it just makes everything better.
Correct take. I love CE and 2s multiplayer for nostalgia reasons, and can do alright if it's a map I like, but they can be pretty cutthroat to play these days. 3 has enough party game options where you can do pretty decently without having to be the best at the pistol/BR pissing contest.
We are all old now. We used to play halo together every night, every game that dropped. We would play jenga on halo3 and all that and then halo4 and someones presidency came to an end and they ruined the internet and here we are all old and dying now, perishing all 100,000 of us, just watching you, 1 guy reolay the game that killed it all for us.
It sounds like an actual shotgun, it's punchy and sounds good with max volume. Every single human gun in 4 is sourced from actual guns. Also at least they recorded original sounds for it, instead of sourcing their sound from the public domain.
Halo 4 was already good for me, I like it just as much as Halo 3 and Halo Reach (Halo CE is still the best). The enemies though feel way too tanky even on heroic, although they really couldn't do anything about it since they needed to have less enemies due to hardware limitations, that is also why the missions are much more linear than the previous games. Also the Assault Rifle on Halo 4 is godly compared to the previous games.
Also try out Mythic Overhaul by MythicJaqui. He already made it for Halo 3 and Halo Reach (Although the Halo 3 one kinda sucks a bit), and he is also currently developing one for 4.
100% with you, I personally don't love everything in 4 or 5 but there is a lot of things that are some of my favourites in the series, like so many of the UNSC weapon designs in 4 to me a peak and the soldier helmet, has been my favourite helmet for years and was really bummed out when they changed it in infinite, been with the series since the start and I will defend 4 cause of the good it did bring to the table

I never saw any Weapons despawn in any of my playthroughs even on MCC. Prometheans are actually challenging and a somewhat good replacement for the Flood since they are on High Charity on the Arc, beign contained by the Sentinels. Overall a good game. My only big downfall of the game is the Weapons but its not even a downfall just a Minor change.

The issue having played back to back many halo games after getting the master Chief collection. The guns get infinitely worse. Lower ammo count, no duel wielding and their damage gets less and less. Its attack two enemies and pick up another covenant weapon and then ts depleted and pick another. Its to me more of grind trying to find guns then shoot at enemies.
The one thing I absolutely despise in Halo 4 is that they removed any sort of personality the Covenant has. Like it's fine to give the Elites more beastly sounds, that's how they were in Halo 1, but doing that to the Grunts? That is blasphemy.
Cod my issue with halo 4 is it felt more like COD than halo. 343 want confident enough in the franchise and felt they had to mimick cod. Its COD: halo edition
Please tell me they fixed the awful Didact meeting. I saw the 'plot twist' coming a million miles away, and didn't want to press the button. How could I figure out it was a trap, but the UNSC's best Spartan and brightest AI couldn't? Moreover, Didact was straight up a cartoon villain. Force chokes Chief, lets him go, and then proceeds to blow up a continent of his own planet to kill him? Like, WHAT?! What an idiot, had Chief dead to rights, but lets him do a Ghost racing section instead of finishing the job? If they wanted that scene more believable, first Chief has to get captured and FORCED to press the button. Second, to escape, Cortana makes a callback to Halo CE, and overloads Chief's shields to create an EMP blast. Then, the following Ghost escape section makes sense, because Didact getting made a fool of via the improvised EMP blast would have absolutely made him livid enough to try to kill Chief via blowing up the entire region.
I played the Halo series for the first time over the last year or so, and 4 was maybe my favorite. It’s 4, Reach, then ODST for me. I was really surprised because everything I heard made me think it would be terrible.

They basically just re skinned a lot of things with Halo 2 anniversary skins. Still not good enough, it needs Halo 3 skins on everything with Halo 3 sounds, and replace every single storm rifle with the plasma rifle. Matter of fact, just get rid of Halo 4 elites and grunts all together and just port Halo CE elites and grunts to be in there instead.
Don’t know why they ever decided to change the most iconic power armor in the history of sci-fi… not that the halo 4/5 master chief armor looks that bad, but in comparison to the best ever idk why they did it. 343 didn’t want to be accused of riding bungies coattails but in the process ruined everything that fans of the original games loved.

my least favorite part about 4 is how the gun on the Scorpion went from a high velocity sniper to a lame ass howitzer
its only a 90mm gun too, you cant even pack that much high explosives into it. it needs the velocity to be an effective weapon

Responding to the title of the video...Halo 4 always good
Please tell me they fixed the awful Didact meeting. I saw the 'plot twist' coming a million miles away, and didn't want to press the button. How could I figure out it was a trap, but the UNSC's best Spartan and brightest AI couldn't? Moreover, Didact was straight up a cartoon villain. Force chokes Chief, lets him go, and then proceeds to blow up a continent of his own planet to kill him? Like, WHAT?!
What an idiot, had Chief dead to rights, but lets him do a Ghost racing section instead of finishing the job? If they wanted that scene more believable, first Chief has to get captured and FORCED to press the button. Second, to escape, Cortana makes a callback to Halo CE, and overloads Chief's shields to create an EMP blast. Then, the following Ghost escape section makes sense, because Didact getting made a fool of via the improvised EMP blast would have absolutely made him livid enough to try to kill Chief via blowing up the entire region.

I actually really like 4. My second favorite just behind Halo 3.
I played the Halo series for the first time over the last year or so, and 4 was maybe my favorite. It’s 4, Reach, then ODST for me. I was really surprised because everything I heard made me think it would be terrible.
I always liked Halo 4. The fast-paced multiplayer was an awesome change, and I never had any problems with the art style either.
Same for me as well. It was my first halo so I had no problems with consistency or gameplay changes

They basically just re skinned a lot of things with Halo 2 anniversary skins.
Still not good enough, it needs Halo 3 skins on everything with Halo 3 sounds, and replace every single storm rifle with the plasma rifle. Matter of fact, just get rid of Halo 4 elites and grunts all together and just port Halo CE elites and grunts to be in there instead.

Don’t know why they ever decided to change the most iconic power armor in the history of sci-fi… not that the halo 4/5 master chief armor looks that bad, but in comparison to the best ever idk why they did it. 343 didn’t want to be accused of riding bungies coattails but in the process ruined everything that fans of the original games loved.
Wonder what halo game was the mod authors fav all the remodels were halo 2 xD
