I had both Spartan Assault and Spartan Strike on my iPhone when it was temporarily available on the Apple Mobile Store. Both games were fairly decent top-down shooters. A lot of people thought the VR aspect for the story was ridiculous, but I think it’s the same thing with the older Assassin’s Creed, in that because it’s a digital VR retelling, it gives the game the freedom to do literally whatever it wants without having to be confined to perfect lore accuracy.
I distinctly remember watching a season of Parks and Rec when they had a Windows Phone sponsorship and thinking “who bought one of these”

Before I had an Xbox and could play the actual Halo games I had a lot of fun with this and Spartan Strike. They did a good job at capturing some of the cool factor of Halo while still making a wholly different game, that still had a decent amount of content for a mobile game.

Halo wars 1 is a janky good time. Story is pretty decent too.
Halo Wars 2 I didn’t gel with as much. The gameplay is solid but I didnt really like the story. Halo Wars 2 was the introduction to the Banished, and they tried to say the Banished had also been fighting a war against the Covenant and were winning better than humanity was, even though we never heard of them
It's just stupid, you don't need to hype up the Banished by saying they were always even STRONGER than the Covenant, just say that they grew exponentially with the Covenant defeat. It would make sense, and it wouldn't immediately turn away people who liked the old games.
I actually LIKE the idea of the Banished, but every time they try to make them super scary, I just get annoyed.
Explain to me how the Banished are scarier than a galaxy wide zombie infection, 343. Because every time they're written into the story they are the MOST incompetent idiots we've seen in the franchise. @@solaceticvc7640
I find both Halo Wars to be problematic at best when it came to the story and lore, and it'd probably be better if neither were canon. The way the Flood just casually shows up out of nowhere in the first game not only contradicts CE, but it's also extremely lame. Same with all the Forerunner stuff in general, honestly. Like, they didn't have giant temples on Harvest, the most the UNSC ever found was that crashed ship on Reach that led them to Halo. Before the main trilogy nobody knew who or what the Forerunners were, even Halsey. So the fact the Spirit of Fire just casually stumbled upon a giant artificial planet with the fucking Flood on it and how the entire story just sweeps it under the rug was honestly hilarious. Same with the second game, which completely contradicts everything we see and do in Halo 3. The only thing left of High Charity should be a crater, but apparently Chief and Cortana didn't do shit when they destroyed the reactors. And the entire point of firing the ring while it was at the Ark was to kill all the remaining Flood that trapped themselves there, what do you mean they survived? That's straight up some "The dead speak!" bullshit. And that's not even getting into how fucking lame the Banished and wannabe Thano- I mean... Atriox, are.
I got this with games with gold years ago and was confused as to what it was until I played about 5 minutes of it and haaaaated it lol

PLAY HALO WARS ( the first is a classic and better imo, campaign cutscenes are great) and yes, the wolverine is there - the definitive edition is on gamepass,xbox and pc
