That was when Rza was potentially the best producer in Hip Hop. Mentioned in the same circles as all the greats. Dr. Dre, Havoc, Q-Tip, and Pete Rock.
Completely respect Premier, but RZA had this easy. His creativity and catalog is off the charts. The longer the battle goes, the more it shows. These judges really don't know what they're talking about. Shameful.

The original B-side song of "Protect ya neck" is "After the laughter, comes the tears".......I got doubles on vinyl and I remember when they were hustling their music on the street. They were at Green Acres Mall giving out cassette tapes to everybody when "Protect ya neck" was first being played on the radio.
Thoroughly enjoyed watching this battle. Both DJ Premier and RZA are 2 of my fav producers, so many classics made by both. Love what is happening for the culture!!! Hopefully this brings much more attention and light shining on their work for the new heads
