Top back was too can't believe he didn't play that
scott won DRE got exposed dam
Pants Hang Low by Plies prod by Mannie was dope too. He has way too many bangas at least for the strrets & real talk a lot main stream too. They hyped it and gave a bias opinion but my opinion could be bias too BC I'm from da streets

Thank you. Scott got songs co produced by the whole industry. IT DON'T COUNT
The make it rain track was stellar for sure but Bling Bling literally changed culture.
So did make it rain.
make it rain didnt change the culture like bling bling did.
Mannie Fresh gave the rap game sounds and flavors that had never been heard at the time. Never forget that. He's one of the greatest of all time.
All Mannie Fresh songs gave me nostalgic vibes and that’s how he won me over. You can play any of those songs today in any club and ppl sing word for word
buggin
Brah thats a fact.. im from the south so they hold more weight those songs are iconic and very important to the south much respect to scott but mannie just hit different for me
MAJOR FACTS!!! SCOTT STORCH ALWAYS BEEN FOR MAINSTREAM.
Right! You can't play any of them Scott storch records todays.
AClass you are BUGGING. You can play all them Scott storch records today. They were hits.
400 Degrees is a classic.

i remember when that went quadruple platinum. definitely a classic
SouthGates Finest I gave that round to Mannie.
No way A Little Bit beats 400 Degreez

Scott Storch was a great co-producer, that's what this showed me.
Michael Lamerique exactly haha

Lol ...how people praise and follow uneducated and lying doctors is what this showed me.
is a great producer, "IS".
You don’t know nothing about rap 🤦♂️ Scott a genius
This depends on where you’re from because to me Mannie kills this contest.
r0bbyy2007 well yes you right if you from the south of course its mannie but scott scott is clearly more versatile has he can create music for any genre well mannie is closely pretty much the same but mannie basically made a whole movement on his own when you think about it I don’t think any other producer did that other the Rza, Dre in death row , IRV gotti with murder inc , swizz with ruff ryders , timbaland with VA crew , Neptune’s with VA. I respect him greatly so it depends on how you look at it
Mannie made me proud
I agree because Most of what Manny played I'll listen to. The Storch catalogue is too commercial for my taste.
I agree people from the south appreciate Mannie differently. We were on him before the world really appreciated the south. My personal feelings
No it doesn't, the ONLY people who thought Mannie won were biased people from the south. I'm from the UK and I think Scott Storch bodied him, so did everyone from mid west West coast, easy coast and the rest of the world think that Mannie lost this battle, it wasn't even close.
fresh produced platinum albums and scott produced platinum singles

@Ayatollah Khomeini cool I had storch you know what they both won, and we both won as fans their were no losers here, the battle was dope
Facts
Agreed!
Mannie was selecting things that made him out. He was going back to his roots in the south...the NOLA sound. If you don't follow music from the south, you won't recognize how big his selections were in the south
Tony Stelly he killed it
they big in the south and somewhat world wide .. but Scott Storch P4P
Exactly. These jokers don't know the music.
Yea but this was on IG live with the world watching not just the south
Yep.. especially when the rich niggaz beat came on. That whole album bumped but that song went hard..they was tripping on that. But bottom line was that some of Scott storch beats were collabs with not just other producers but superstar producers. Mannie all day..
Growing up playing Midnight Club, that Real Big joint my Mannie bring back memories!
Frfr man and they said it was a bad choice ain’t no way I wonder if mannie know how good of a song that was especially on midnight Club
Mannie Fresh produced 90% of the entire Cash Money catalog so he wins in my opinion
“In my opinion”... 😂 lol that’s how u know you’re wrong lmao
So he produced 90% of the shittiest rap music ever made. Nice.
scienz exactly what I was thinking!!
scott is versatile
Everybody from the South knew Mannie should drop UNLV's Drag 'am in the River
Right
I'm thinking set it off tho

A bunch of bigtymer joints
Mannie even put vocals on most of what he produced and it didn’t sound like trash either. Let’s not forget that part.

NO HELP at all Mannie and only Mannie
Mannie shoulda played #1 Stunna

:Get your roll on...decent" lol these guys are silly
This was a strange battle. Both are absolute assassins with signature styles but it's really 2 different genres of music. As many have noted, Scott needed a lot more support to get to this level while Manny was basically going it alone. Scott's hits have wider appeal but Manny had his ear to the streets. Manny about ballin with his boys while Scott trying to get you laid in the club. Much respect for both. Scott has more hits but more asterisks too. No losers in this battle.
I’m going with Manny Fresh because he did all of his beats Scott Storch had help and try to use Beyoncé and R&B as a cheat code Manny Fresh did all of his bees to the entirety manifesto
It's not a cheat code tho it's about beats they made jus cause manny ain't use r&b beats it jus show he ain't as versatile

S T & the point is?
@ real talk💯
Agreed
@riny swanson he co-produced but the beats came from other producers... thats what people are saying.
Scott didn’t produce those songs by himself.
Beat Makers were oringally reffered to as *Programmers.* If you are a Producer you are more than a beat maker, you have a vision for the song that helps realise an Artist's vision and bring a concept into reality. Record Producer's are similar to a director in Film and T.V. They oversee the recording and mixing process of song created. They direct and call the shots behind the mixing board trying to get good vocals out of some body. Record Producer's comes from different backgrounds as some are hands on while some are hands off. Sean Diddy Combs doesn't make beats, he hires beat makers and ochestrates a song togther.
Producers bring a record together. Tons of your favorite producers have help.
I like the way they break these battles down thx for the entertainment in these tough times
400 degrees is the greatest album ever from the south that's all Mannie needed
Exactly! 400 degrees is the greatest album out of the south and also credit to Juvenile who is a GOAT that doesn’t get enough credit.
These producer battles are LIT! They gotta keep these runnin after the quarantine
Still is my all time favorite beat
Facts I'm entertained to the fullest. I wanna see them make the beats too. Some like swizz, storch, fresh, zaytoven, tm88, etc show them making it live. I would like to see Khaled making a beat or diddy since we truly don't know what they do. Lol .
I was raised on Mannie Fresh tracks so I’m 1000% biased!
To me Mannie Took it!!! Every song he played was produced by him alone. Scott was playing Dr. Dre beats and baseline. On credits, those heat was written as produced by Dr.Dre and the other ones reads "produced by Timberland." So Scott was cheating in my book. So I give the WIN to Mannie hands down. Scott was playing other producers beats while Mannie produced every single song that came out of cash Money. Let that sink in.
This cap because it’s been reported that Dr.Dre didn’t even make his biggest hits.
That’s why Mannie did a live and talk about it. He thought it was suppose Mannies Beats vs Scott’s Beats, not Mannie be yo entire Production Team.
On top of that, Scott Storch don’t have a of albums credits on these beats that he’s playing. So on paper, you don’t even have production credit on music that you playing and claiming it’s yours to play, vs beats I made from scratch and created every part of. What we doing
So true
Scott used co produced records lol mannie beats is 100% all him no help lol.
there were no rules set. they played hits they produced/were part of
In Scott's coproduced tracks tho he's making the most memorable part of the song like those are all songs built around Scotts keyboard riffs and chords.
@@Byronic19134 Its not the same as making the WHOLE BEAT alone.

How does Storch have the audacity to claim “still D.R.E”? Storch was the third producer on that song dr Dre being the lead producer and Mel man second. Written by Jay-z. Mannie got em with all those funny drops though.

Exactly!!!!
Well making beats is no Co-Producing. Having a vision for the song and direction is Co-Producing. U don't even have to make beats to be a Record Producer. Record Producer's are like the director in the studio that calls the shots behind the mixing board. I just produced a Record last week, a rapper I worked with came in my studio with a beat. I produced the record, recorded his vocals and mixed the record. The guy that made the beat is not the Producer of the song because he wasn't there in the studio with me which is not Co-Produced. I produced the record. He Co-Wrote the song.

FACTS!!!! On that alone...Mannie WON!!
He Co-Wrote not Co-Produced. Producing a Record and collaborating on a beat are two different things. Scott Storch is not even listed as a Co-Producer on Still Dre or Cry Me A River, he was hired as a Musician and Writer for those songs as Scott Storch started off as a Musician and session player before he became a Record Producer. A Producer is like the director of Film and T.V. They oversee the entire song creation process that has a vision for the song. You don't even have to make beats to be a Producer as Diddy and Rick Rubin doesn't make beats.
Gee roman If you actually watched it then you would’ve heard Scott ask him “was he free styling” & he said “yes” while going through his files

I going with Mannie fresh..now my man Scott storch is nice tho, classic hits..but, when fresh hit the scene, it was a sound we neva was use to...I'm from the south..SO, MANNIE FRESH...ALL DAY
That was a fire battle 🔥🔥🔥
I understand Mannie's legacy in the game. He definitely deserves more credit than he actually gets. His songs will live on. To take credit away from Scott isn't fair either. How many of the songs he co-produced would have been the hits they were without his contribution? Mannie's songs have a distinct sound that you can't ignore or avoid, but it definitely has its own flavor that will always be preferred in the south. I think most records that Scott touches will have more varied sounds, to the point where you probably wouldn't be able to identity his sound. Just my opinion. I fucks with with Cash Money's biggest hits, but for an acoustical perspective, I prefer Storch.
