The lineup of artists is still amazing....What an amazing moment in time for Our Generation. The class efforts of presrvation and enhancement speak to its value. Nicely done video !!!
Great to have this documentation of the property before the museum and performance area were built. Nice juxtapostion of 1969 festival photos with the 2003 video footage. 👍
The pasture doesn’t look big enough to contain 500,000 people. Hard to imagine what went on there-sort of like a Civil War battlefield. This won’t happen again in our world-but maybe in the future, when cynicism and despair have given way to innocence, and hope.
"This won’t happen again in our world-but maybe in the future, when cynicism and despair have given way to innocence, and hope." haha^ it was all dream for the teen !
This was a golden moment and a one shot deal. All who were there have a yearning to relive it and go back to a time when it was peace and love over Vietnam and other social injustices that they all rose against. And those of us who weren't there wished we were!
Thanks for sharing this video brings back good memories of my hippy day's and tripping out peace love and truth lol Paul p Birmingham England x ❤🇺🇸🙂🇬🇧🌹✡🙏
As person from this era, someone like these people here as I was young, I was peaceful and I knew all the music. I was whyte as 99% of the folks there and I was raised as a Christian like probably most of most of the baby boomers there. Today much of the media and most of the blaques condemn us as evil and raysists. This event proves that we were not. We knew how to treat ourselves. I’m proud of these kids and proud of their and my culture. Remember this event, who participated and be proud.
I like the one with the music with the video however for Woodstock's Legacy I think they need to stop trying to put concerts on and keep building this thing up it's 50 years ago and those that were there more remember it and we should be able to learn from them stop trying to put on concerts you'll never be able to recreate that magic
Is the field still intact as a historical site? Hopefully the visitors center/cultural center was not built over the actual venue. Was too young to be there. For me the Richie Havens, Crosby , Stills, Nash, Young and Hendrix performances represent the era in my mind. Woodstock forever.
Funny Brad...I just talked to you in a Facebook group yesterday. This video came up as a UA-cam recommendation and I wasn't going to click on it but I saw your name. You published this in 2014 (not filmed) and that's when I was there for the 45th. I like the way it looked here MUCH more than the way it looked in 2014 and currently but I suppose I'm glad Bethel Woods was able to hold on to the site and build something on it. Also glad that it's FINALLY a protected site.
I had a chance to go but didn't. People that were there payed a price to see history made. Little food and water and lack of bathroom facilities. Not to mention the rain. Still, I doubt that there's one person who was there that regrets it.

Chip Monck, PA announcer deserves credit for his control and respect he drew from the crowd to keep things at bay ! Hats off...............
john sampson ....there was nothing to keep at bay.....
@@ace1willie2 there were moments. Stop acting like everyone were perfect little angels.

Thank you for this fantastic video! It is indeed 'sacred ground' that should be memorialized for the ages...!

The field might be able to hold 100,000 people at best. The other 400,000 were stuck in traffic lol

Pre Bethel Woods. Nice to see how it used to appear.

The only thing here that doesn't appear in these pictures was.the most important part of the concert. The Spirit ?

The brown acid is not, specifically, too good.
Like battle field from wikipedia search.
There should be a memorial built around that gravel pile. Maybe someday.
there is....
How Come they didn't have any Weed Growing at Woodstock? I mean they could of at Least Planted Some Clones for the Picture Back Ground Views.Haahaaa
They do
John Sabastian...lol...whats up with that..isn't it Se
Here's a tip. Don't let someone w Parkinson's hold the camera.
Idiot
Jerry Wormer i agree. The camera work is terrible, almost an insult to the 1969 event.
