Hi Wayne its simon Walpole I am glad that you are now doing the next stage of the knight rider thank from Simon Walpole what I am now watching on the UA-cam channel.
Hi, Wayne,I had the same problem on my knight rider build,I didn't fit the sticker on the first door,I waited until the other door arrived and that was wrong as well, just switched the stickers over and they fit perfectly, fanhome got left and right mixed up! Love watching the builds, Great channel, Best wishes Gary, From Basildon
I am collecting this but not building it at the moment, no time or space. Watching this is helping as can see problems before I'll get to them, and hopefully possible fixes. Starting to look like it's coming together with the main body frame and engine bay frame (although not fitted yet).
Looks Great Wayne, did mine yesterday and as you know also a huge advocate of Partwork Upgrades mat which I link in my videos too, I too had the part for 70 in 73 and vice versa so I swaped them around and its perfect, you should just have swapped them over
My tip for construction phase 75, because I experienced it myself a week ago: Before you start construction phase 75 later, check component "1H" from the first issue. the hole in "1H" is too small, the screw (OP) must go all the way through to be screwed in "75G". I had to widen the hole in "1H" with a Dremel until the screw could go through.
yes i had same issue but fanhome are where of it. did ask mike lane about the covers he also where issue he is looking making some maybe match is floor mats.
Re the part works mat. If you don't have one but still want to protect a model from scratches I'd suggest buying a couple of soft flannels from Amazon, Wilkinson's, B&M etc and using those to rest the model on. They're a cheap source as well to replace old flannels if they're grubby (Wayne I'm looking at you *lol*). Admittedly the part works mats are made for the job and they're thicker, just a thought for anyone who cannot afford one or lives in a territory part works don't cover.
@@WorldofWayneUK More likely to be Polystyrene as it's for a non-structural part. Styrene is naturally clear so very good for windows. It will scratch much easier than 'acrylic' making the adhesive strips make more sense, and is considerably cheaper than Acrylic.
why did they have you put the doors on before they had you install the latches on the frame? ,think your gonna need to tape the doors closed until then
For those who are following this build closely, I have also posted this information on the previous video on the first door. The top, lighter coloured, fabric section is crossed between the two doors. I.E. the one that came with the right door is actually used on the left door, and the one that came with the left door is actually used on the right door. This will be of greatest benefit to those who have not got to the first door yet, as I don't think these pieces will stand being removed once in place without a high risk of stretching the fabric out of shape. As this is actually a Fanhome mistake, they should give people some extra leeway if replacement parts are required due to this.
@milanondrak5564 there is a blacker colour.. even ten times blacker than vantablack (visable spectrum 99.90% ) .. normal black absorbs 85 % of all light.. but the new black is absorbing more than 99.98 % light..
Hope someone comes out with a mod for the window triangles behind the door mirrors... they're not supposed to be gloss black as in reality they're big rubber/plastic parts. Also a shame they didn't model the window sweeps (the felt lines) more like the real thing. Seems they could have texturized the door panels a little better too... they're fabric on top, carpet on the bottom, and the rest is vinyl. I think the second felt strip was actually supposed to go on the door panel on the window sill plate at the top... fun fact, i still have a pair of those window sills kicking around and I sold that car 3 years ago...
my doors wouldnt close /fit the hinges as they should be. im out of energy now, did 12 stages at one, was behind.. im try it next week to fix it. also have a lot of tension on the steercolom..
Your ment to switch them around .. I did get in contact with fanhome and they said the second door will have the one for the first door and the one from the first door goes on the second
@@WorldofWayneUK My pack 1 is due to arrive within 7 to13 days that,s gnna be abeast. Most of the metal parts on it are brass or brassplated/it weigh between 12/16KG once it,s fininshed. I opted for the Deluxe Edition with the light up LED display stand and hopefully we won,t get any moving finger problems either yes i,m looking at you halfscale T-800
I'm not building this car... But if it's such a problem about that stupid door sticker...lol Then just wait till you get both door packs and swap the panels...there...your done... Their only a couple of stages apart... No big deal to wait...lololol

Looking fantastic. Got several fanhome builds on the way plus started a few. One day I'm thinking about doing agora models as well.
Lol😊 fuzzy felt sets were great fun, you could spend ages making different pictures with them😊
Very nice I'm sure Ian will fix it 👀👀
good build and yes I am having the same problem with my model
Nicely Done. 😃👍.
Hey Wayne you see fanhome has the ecto for preorder now.
Yep. Started line again. Have to wait till July now

Seems like the two fabric pieces are switched. Try switching the left and right pieces, it should fit better.

Wow cool I have a question what are the windows made out of? Is it glass, or is it plastic? I'm very curious.
Plastic acrylic
@@WorldofWayneUK Cool thank you for telling me.

I haven't had to use oil at all in this build.

the karosserie is just plastic or ? or metall like some other parts ?
Yep Metal
Door fabric and inner door trim is totally wrong . Mr Lane has sorted it all thankfully 👍👍😊
I have the kit. Will be installing it next week
@@WorldofWayneUK it's totally screen accurate . You'll love it
Hi Wayne are you reuploading this build or is it a new one i have missed ?
This is a new one
I'm surprised Goth car hasn't drawn blood yet. Goth car is looking nice and black. It'll always be black until they find a darker colour. 😄
Giv it time

Oh, I see. The inner doors are getting cranky?
The build is coming along. On the door fabric - why not just flock it?
Omg how did I not know about this? It's so cool! Can you tell me how many shipments there are?
110 stages. Not sure how that equates to shipments
It’s coming along brilliantly! Looks like the door fabric was upside down when it was cut by the die or whatever tool they use. A shame, really.

Just came across the fabric issue. Very frustrating!

I just used Mike Lanes mod in the end
They look better than the DMC12,s gullwing doors which we,re awful
