It's still better than on my computer. I always have as much pleasure to follow you, even on this look back and I see how much you have evolved since your time in Greece. You have become champions 🤗
Thanks. Actually we or I (Mathias) try to defeat the naysayer in myself through this journey. I've always cycled, but only as a means of transport, not for fun or sports. Arev only learned to cycle in her twenties, as cycling is not part of the culture in Armenia (yet).

Wow, life gets in the way, but you came through😀 Have been foolowing you from the start and kinda suprised that I left the UK in March and just arrived in Cesme on the same route at the start of May. Cycled almost the exact same route to Pumakkle and Cappadocia, would have been nuts to have bumped into you. Brilliant journey your having, just showing everyone whats is possible.

All the editing is extremely time intensive and we had to handle more things on the side that we had hoped. Also we two are jot the fastest bunch, so you might very well catch us along the way. Right now we are in Iran 🇮🇷 😀
The exact same thing happens to me in 2020 during a bike tour. Inflammation in the small intestine. Severe fever. Since then I learned to eat slow and chew the food really well and always drink more water than you think you need. Drinking enough has always been a problem for me but not since then. Haven’t had any issues after that. Safe travels you two.
Thanks! Actually the fever wasn't the biggest issue. The diarrhea was so extreme that his body did not take in any fluid for several days, hence the dehydration. The doctors couldn't tell what caused it, but I try to eat as healthy as possible!

You are starting the most difficult stage. Please pay attention to vehicle traffic in Turkey. Especially trucks. Besides, you will see very good friendships and help here. I think you will be happy. Have a nice trip. We love you and follow you :)

@@AmazingWorldBikeTour It is not difficult. It is so modern that it cannot be compared with other eastern countries. You can easily find everything you are looking for. You can easily stay anywhere. It is perfect in terms of geography. The only problem is there is no bike path. Be careful when you go on the main roads. You will see friendships and cooperation that you have never seen in any other country. Love. Have a good journey :)

Yes, of course. What can you do, right?! While the road was bumby for sure, right now we are doing great. We started with about 20k in the bank, but unforseen life circumstances lowered that number quite considerably. We were forced to another longer than expected break and did some freelancing online to stay afloat. We hope to have one more year worth of traveling left now.
Doctors could not give a definitive answer, but likely. He did jot have such issues ever before. Until that time we usually drank water from taps. We regularly asked people if the water is good to drink. It was not food poisoning, since he did not throw up at all.
Hello Arev & Mathias, so we have another couple from Germany hopefully cycle around the world by bicycle! Previously I followed another German couple Louisa & Tobi who went the opposite way (west), but just a few months ago they ended their journey abruptly after arriving in Asia (Thailand). So on hindsight did you figure out how did Mathias get inflammation of the small intestine? ... the mysterious 'cake' that you found on the road? And also what is your take on cycling shorts? It doesn't seem that you two are into cycling shorts, because you don't see any benefits of wearing them? Have fun cycling!
Thanks. Did they stop because of illness? We still don't know what caused the small intestine inflammation. Because of the amount of antibiotics he had to take he had a lot of trouble with diarrhea for quite a while, but it is good now. We are sure it wasn't the cake thought ;-) We tried cycling shorts on and off until very recently. Sometimes I wear one, but most of the time we are fine without. Mathias actually gets saddle sores when he wears them, but maybe we just didn't find the proper ones. In think the correct seating position and saddle are the key.

Any idea if Mateo’s sickness was facilitated by being on the road? Could it be a case of beaver fever? Ie drinking from streams?
