Hello from French-speaking Switzerland, I discovered you today and I have already viewed ten of your magnificent stages. Really touched by your sensitivity for animals and nature. I also have a travel bike (Dutch gooseneck style) with breaks on rims. I am a fan of old luxury bikes on which everything was designed to last. I already had a strange breakdown (on an old mountain bike) where the rim brake stuck on one side for no reason. I had tried all the adjustments including the 3 spring wire tension holes but it was probably irreparable. The fact of never understanding the why disappointed me because I am passionate about mechanics. There, this gentleman who came from nowhere and who helped you and understood the problem, that amazed me! If ever, I always use BBB-tristop skates (or the even better but more expensive Shimano pro) and you should really avoid entry-level skates (which burn easily). Last tip, if your braking is really a little brutal, apply olive oil with your finger, for example, on the rim and you will have more gradual braking. So, I even travel with a complete spare V-breaks system just in case ;) Thank you for these shares full of humanity and high in contrast and colors!! Have a good trip and 2025 at the speed of butterflies^^
Glad you enjoy our journey through our videos! Yes, mechanical problems one can’t figure out are indeed annoying. Since we also stuck to fairly ancient tech we didn’t have too many issues so far. We use KoolStop brake pads and really like them. They wear slowly and don’t shred the rim.
Happy Geburstag to you Mathias. If you remember at the beginning of the trip, an impasse like the highway would have stop you in your tracks and created a conflict. Now, it seems that it was easier for you guys to adapt to the situation. I admire your patience and resilience. Keep it up
Haha thanks. Don't worry there is still a lot of potential for conflict. I/we learn every day, but at the same time the conditions get a little trickier as we move away from Germany 😅
@Connie Nelson 2 for 1, amazing 😀 We can't say for Portugal and Spain, but in France and Germany (and probably beyond) warmshowers is also a great possibility. All the best for your new chapter!
Happy birthday! Seems you guys are getting very much used to solving the problems and not stressing about them! Really nice to see you guys getting more and more accustomed to the challenge!😊
I'm enjoying watching your recordings. can you number them so I can watch them sequentially ?right now they are kind of mixed and it's difficult to find the correct order.
@@AmazingWorldBikeTour they normally do, the issue is that given the length and weight the rear can sway from side to side so......car tourists can occasionally give concern as they can be more focused on the scenary than the road. I survived 3 months on the roads so good plus an additional 6 months in paradise sitting out covid. bw
@johnrobertd748 actually it seems like that was an production flaw as we expected. In the meantime the company did send us a replacement and we can tall that they changed some details to fix the issue. So actually we're quite happy with it now. What do you use?

What a wonderful experience travelling through Italy. I think Leo summed it up well!
We can highly recommend the South imduring the winter. And, of course, meeting Leo was an enriching experience!
When waiting for nothing, everything is happening. Your video made me think about this.
What a great way to put it!
In the US I'm afraid the blue noodle on the bike would be a target not a deterrent. Stay safe!
Oh! We’ll lose them in case we decide to cycle in the US 😅 Thanks 🙏🏽
que buen viaje
It certainly was!
I really enjoyed this video. High quality editing too.
Thank you for your kind words and also your feedback. Starting with the Turkey episodes we'll try to experiment a little with the editing.

Wonderful filming and adventurous story! Looking forward to your Greek episode🤩🌞
Thanks Bloem! The next episode will be full of surprises too 😅
Boarding ferries by bike is the most awesome and most terrifying bike experience I ever had 😅 when they are opening the door it’s like D Day
Haha 😄 yes they are big and mighty. But we find tunnels much more terrifying 😬
Great video, thanks for sharing! Southern Italy looks gorgeous! Really excited to see your adventures in Greece! Safe travels!
Yes, it is a jewel. We should have spent more time there but kind of felt in a rush to get further east...
Parting is such sweet sorrow…..🥲
Great vids! I enjoy your channel and look forward to following your journey…
Connie in Canada, soon to be Portugal🤞
Thanks Connie! Going on a bike tour yourself?
@@AmazingWorldBikeTour I will be moving to portugal AND doing tours on the continent, mainly staying in campgrounds when available🚴♂️ bon voyage ⛺️

Happy birthday 😂 He knows his stuff because he is from Global Cycling Network 😂
Hey Daniel, 👋 We don't know, but he surely is a beast on and next to a bicycle 😅 His instagram is @robyalex74mtb

Yes, we are evolving slowly 🐌 🤣
Little by little we learn that there is always a solution, again and again.

Hey Micky, thanks! Calabria was quite the surprise for us. Definitely worth a visit!
Another WONDERFUL video! Thanks again! I look forward to them!
Thanks Andrew, that is always a pleasure to hear!
My grandma was from Scilla 😊
Nice. It's a beautiful town!
Really enjoy. If you make new zealand then do south island, its stunning,!! but its good to wave to the logging lorries. - pr and safety.
Thank you. Well making it that far would be absolutely great. Let's see when we run out of money 😅
Do the lorries pass with enough distance?

I hate air mattresses. For me, they're always leaking air. Not worth it
