Ken, the poor kid has to walk so far up and down the rocky mountain with you and didn't demand any money from you. I am glad you gave him some money for being your 'tour guide' and translator.
My wife and I just found your channel. Really enjoy your videos a lot. My wife is Thai and we’re loving all the pictures of home. Keep up the great work 👍
You are lucky to always meet the right person to show you the right spot. Great to see that you gave the boy a little tips that would bring some encouragement and joy to this boy and his parents as well.
Truly amazing and Northern Thailand is so beautiful. Oh gosh, that 360° viewpoint is absolutely astonishing....love the gorgeous mountains and valleys. So lucky of you to have that local young boy as your tour guide and lead you to this beautiful hidden gem. Thanks Ken for sharing with us this special place.
Love your videos showing a journey into places where "farangs" rarely visit. Thanks for showing us the real beauty of Thailand and the kindness of the Thai people.
The little boy was so helpful and sweet. I don't even think he expected a tip. He was just happy to help you. these Thai people are so amazing! And wow! What a view! One of the best videos yet! Great job again Ken! 👍
Great discovery Ken, I'll save this location. Also, appreciate you give the commentary in English, always respectful and polite to the locals. Well done 👏
Wow Ken ! You always find the most unlikely of encounters! This young boy really knows how to get to the best view - don't think many tourists would know about this viewpoint. A hidden gem indeed!
Nice 👍 video Ken. Thai people are very friendly. You make people feel comfortable so much so that they trust you with their son! Wow! People can feel your sincerity and kindness. Thanks for sharing the lovely sunset and viewpoint :) Keep going Ken!#teamabroad
Doi-Pa-Tang is so beautiful. It's a well known place among thais. But even I am thai I have never been there. Seeing it in your vid, I will visit there someday. What surprises me is how little the boy can speak and understand English. I think the boy this age these days can speak and understand more English than that. He really reminds me of when I was around his age (nearly 40 years ago). My English was not better than he is. In part because I lived in a small village and hardly any foreigner went to my village. The first real Fa-Rang I met was when I was about 13 year old. She was an American traveller invited by my thai English teacher to pop into my English class room to speak and show us students how the accent of the native English speakers was like. Even when she spoke in a short and easy sentence, it's difficult for me to get what she said. When she asked me, I was not different from the boy you asked. I was kind of speechless despite her using short and easy sentences, sentences even grammatically simpler than what we had learned from the book at the time. That was because we have never seen and heard how the real Fa-rang speak before. I think thai boys these days have much more chance to meet and speak with foreigners than I had and their English should have been much better than I was but it doesn't seem to be the case.
I think this is one of must go place in the North. I 've never been there but other places in Chaingrai. Thank you for let me know that i 've missed one of the most beautiful places in Thailand until i see your clip.
Thanks again Ken for a wonderful video. You seem a very nice person and treat the Thai people with respect they are such wonderful people - even lend you their Son! All the very best Victor Daisley
Probably, the local would only these places, coz not many tourists know about this place..... You just gave "off the beaten path adventure" a whole new meaning......As always, stay safe, be vigilant, ride safely...
Hi Ken 👋🏻 woww , I'm in awww....this is absolutely the best stunning view I've ever seen , good job Ken in searching for the 'sway mak' picturesque view 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 this village has a very updated gas station just like a vending machine not sure if Malaysia have one 😅 the boy that guided you must have taken many tourists up that hills , it's his playground 🤣👍 keep us posted Ken 👍🥰
Woah, the hike up that mountain is not an easy one. I could hear you panting. Regarding that protruding rock to get some photos taken, guess l would do it when l was younger....😀😀😀 A nice hotel, very spacious, cozy and facing such a stunning view. Beautiful drone footage and amazing sunset. Thank you for making such polished content. Bravo Ken 💪👍👏
Another great Vlog Ken. The drone shots are amazing. Your Vlogs are always entertaining because your encounters with people are so natural and remind me of when I travel around and try and communicate with people of a foreign country, in particular Thailand. Love it. Amazing that they allowed a young lad go off with a total stranger but then that's the Thais for you. Absolutely wonderful people generally. Looking forward to the next one :)
Hi Ken. Congratulations on your 60K subscribers. " Hardwork pays off" ....you have proved it, Ken. Well done, keep going and wish you all the best...💪🎉🎉🥳🥳
Well done Ken. You certainly found a gem there (and a young lad who just might become, with more English, a professional guide within his territory). Beautifully filmed 👍🙏
Mate, since you’re already there, visit doi pha tang 104, that was a firebase you visited earlier against the Pathet Lao ( Lao communist ) the history is linked to the Mae Salong museum u visited, they’re Chiang kai shek secret army. You have indeed discovered a hidden gem in the midst of Thailand and Laos border, with the help of the boy. The 360 degrees view is stunning, and you entered Laos for the second time. 🤣 The price of the hotel room is alright with such spectacular view, the room is spacious and breakfast is included too.
Wow Ken, that was and is a beautifull place to be, take some time to suck it all in. Epic view and drone footage 👊 Enjoy and thanks for sharing and as always C Ya in the next one🙏
I'm loving all these videos of awesome views. Sometimes we forget that some of the best experiences while travelling are free of charge. And it's a gift that you will remember forever
