This is shaping up to be such an amazing and memorable road trip! Loving these off the beaten path northern Thai kampungs! You're also making good use of your drone
In the north from Thailand my wife showed me many place where i learned why King Rama No.9 and his wife was so popular. You find inspirations like they teach the people to grow coffee & strawberries instead must selling drugs 😍 , how save rainwater ... Enjoy lovely flower garden from his wife 😉
Love the roadtrip so far, scenic view, interesting stops and villages with friendly people. Looking forward to the border adventure and get a glimpse of Myanmar.
Really enjoying your videos. So many beautiful parts of thailand to see. So many friendly people to meet. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us Rob, Toronto, 🇨🇦
Simple and nice rural mountain village and the villagers there must be excited to see a farang visiting their village. For 30 baht, you can get quite a big portion of that kueh teow soup with many slices of pork. Waffles look yum yum 👍👍 Awesome drone shots...nature is indeed BEAUTIFUL.. !!! Nice cozy accommodation. Take a very good rest before venturing out again. Looking forward to your border adventure. Stay safe and take care, Ken.
Good work with the drone....the combination of views from your perspective and larger area from above really add to the quality of your video content. Looking forward to the rest of the series. Stay safe and have a great time!
Fantastic Ken. Love the villages & their friendly people. It's what Thailand is all about for me. You're doing just what i'll be doing when in Thailand next. Really enjoyable.
this motorbike series is soooo enjoyable to watch i really like how you involve the locals by simply asking them directions & greetings (the kids on the school maybe recognize you as PewDiePie the way they look at you 😹 ) & the drone shots of the roads & village perfect 👌✨ it reminds me of our place in province around the southern part of the Philippines same vibes & yep we also have small chickens running on the road 😹 so we have to be careful driving a motorbike or just skating ... ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ great content for today's episode
Travelling along off the beaten path thru villages, hills, landscape etc.... Can't really complain having a nice home-cooked meal in rural village that's off the tourist trail ..Great to stop every now and then and soak in the moment... Looking forward to the border of Thai-Myanmar adventure but be vigilant due to the situation in Myanmar ( you'll never know what you'll find at the borders ) ... Stay safe, ride safely , happy exploring...
You really visited a remote village indeed. Locals probably didnt see foreigners for a long time so they are smiling. The silver container is very original container used in Thailand for drinks and other purposes - not many places use them nowadays - loved it
Yes, but there are plenty of places like that in Thailand so it's open to exploring. I loved the are called Loei great place what about you any favourites?
Hello Mr ken,, Yesterday I have told you, in the comment section,,,the most beautiful route lay between Pai and Mea Hon Son,,,, If you traveling in January or February,,,the road full of Sunny Mexican sunflower and Himalayan Cherry tree blooming,,,1864 curves Stay safe and stay happy 🇲🇾
Usually, noodles in Thailand are not spicy anymore. So you don't have to order that it's not spicy. Spicy noodles with only Tom Yum noodles. For regular noodles, you'll need to add your own chili powder. And the shop owner recommends the cave for you to go. It's not closed, but the shop owner doesn't understand English. that she showed you a picture of the cave to suggest that you try to visit there But she doesn't understand the word open and close.🤣🤣🙏🙏
Enjoyed this episode, felt as though i am there with you..but i am in Malaysia... hope you will show us more of this town and any special food they have. Right now i am still thinking of the delicious waffle you just had :)
Another fun day "joining" you in the roadtrip. Since there's a mosque in Pai, there must be Muslims staying there. A nice mosque. I guess those pumpkins lying on the roadside are to be collected and sent to elsewhere for sale. Wow, that mountain viewpoint is spectacularly beautiful.
The waffle looks utterly delicious, Ken.. have to love how creative the Thais are during these trying times.. keep safe and add a little bit of spice as it’ll make your journey more on the edge😉🤣🙏
very nice to see your trip pictures. I do this trip two times before allso. I tell you already i life in Mae Rim near the erotic garde. I like the view from the bamboo bridge and the wat on the mountain so much. A really quiet place. So Ken enjoy your trip. I think you will never forget. Reegards Wolfgang
Hi Ken 👋 this is so exciting and adventurous ride 👍🏻 sometimes you have to expect the unexpected because you thought it’s going to rain but it didn’t 😂 the road system is great and well maintained maybe less cars or no large vehicles passing by. The locals are so helpful and your Thai is getting better , I’m picking up few phrases already 😅 “mai pen lai” , “ni arai kap ” 😂 “neet noi” 😅👍🏻 the noodles looks yummy 😋 love the view , how nice if the caves were open , Yeay I saw the Thailand ~ Mymmar border on your igStory really awesome 👏🏻 but curious because there’s no strict security there like Malaysia~Thai border , stay safe and thanks Ken 🙏🏻
Ken, if you like border towns, I suggest that you go to Ban Rak Thai near Myanmar border, it's a nice Chinese village with fantastic village scenery and beautiful lake near Mae Hong Son town. The noodles there is mind-blowing and unique. my friend just went there last week.
I’ve Been to Thailand a few times and it’s such a Beautiful country and yes the people are so friendly. Love to do what your doing but would rent a car.
nothing evokes the sense of adventure and feeling of true freedom like riding a motorcycle through scenery like this. you can do it in a car but it's often hard to take a car up small/narrow mountain roads or even go off road for a while.
@@renobubs fair enough. i wasn't trying to discourage anyone to do it via car, everyone should do what they are comfortable with :) But if you do want to do it on a motorcycle and worried about lack of experience, northern Thailand is a good place to learn..beautiful empty roads!
I'm not the only one that uses a fork and spoon for a noddle dish ,just can't on with chop sticks 😏Great video Ken ,love it when you go into the villages 👍
ken, suggest not to use too much brake if it's long downhill as brake might malfunction when it's overheated. You may try to drop a gear or two when going downhill. cheers.
Hello! I am going to visit Thailand on a 15 month retirement visa and looking forward to explore Northern Thailand as well.
