I love Acerola's smiling face through this. There she is just smiling and swaying from side to side while killing off my team like it's some kind of joke
The Alolan Elite 4 is way different from other regions. For one they are brand new since the region never had a league. And two, you actually get to know these guys much better before battling them, unlike other elite 4s from other regions where the first time you meet them is at the league. So you actually have a connection. The only member that is like the other regions' elite 4 is Kahili but hey she's quite strong, but my Toucannon is always better than hers!
I think Kahili added a kind of balance to the E4. You have the characters you know on your travels, but you also have this elite and powerful trainer that has come back to Alola to face you. It really makes it feel like the people gathered there are the region's elites.
Scarlet and Violet's Elite 4 basically copies this pattern, and it's one of my favorite E4 groups so far. You've got Larry and Hassel who you already know quite a bit about, and then you've got Rika and Poppy who you've met, but you don't really know that much about. Also, all of their typings were very unexpected. Even the guy who you've fought before changes their type to something completely different.
I like this a lot more than the sword and shield one. this one gives you the feeling that your facing an incredibly powerful trainer, and that they could easily flatten your team.

There's a huge golf course near Hano beach that you can't even explore. I assume you were meant you meant to meet Kahill there, but GF forgot about it, or decided to cut it due to time restraints or whatever.
The sound is wonderful! Thank you very much for uploading these soundtracks for us trainers to appreciate and recall our favorite moments in Pokemon Sun and Moon! If it is possible, I would like to request Routes 1, 2, 4, 10, Ancient Poni Path, and Vast Poni Canyon. You see, I plan to go jogging with these soundtracks and the Sun and Moon soundtrack gives that vibe of adventure! Thank you once again!
I think I might buy the Japanese CD Soundtrack instead, though not right away at the moment. I do not have an iPhone device of any kind. I'd much prefer to have a physical copy of any media regarding music. I would have much more freedom to do whatever I would please by getting high quality rips from the CD as MP3s and then sending it all to my phone, granted it is more expensive than iTunes.
The Elite Four music has always been my favorite soundtrack in the Pokémon series, with this one released, I think my number 1 favorite is a tie between the Unova one and the Alola one
I think its safe to say that Acerola is now everyone's favorite elite 4 member because she's adorable and nobody likes Kahili and her grumpy looking toucan.
Hala is the best elite 4 member because he really is a kahuna and i dislike kahili because she's here almost out of the blue (people talk about her twice in the game)
Alarak They're actually not related. In Hawaii, it's a common practice to call people your aunt/uncle as a term of endearment. Hau also starts calling the main characters mother Aunty in the post-game. It's still really cute though that they share a Pokémon.
I think I can say officially that Nanu and Acerola are my favourite characters in sun and moon. I like Nanu's stone-cold personality -(And the rape smile he gives you)-, which kinda reminds me of myself in certain situations. Acerola, on the other hand, is a bubbly and happy child, which I honestly just love about her! -And I find Nanu sexy, but that's irrelevant-
Acerola and Kihili took me off guard completely because I expected Nanu and Hapu. Nope. Gotta say though so glad Acerola was part of the Elite Four she's my favourite character in Sun/Moon.
I was actually scared to face against Nanu because 3/6 of my team was ghost and one was psychic. But once I found that it was Acerola then I was glad to see bestgirl again.
I think we all expected the Kahunas to be the Elite Four, meh, Acerola was annihilated by my Stoutland so wasn't much of a deal, Kahili was swept by my Lycanroc and that's my Elite Four first run
I feel like people now realize if acerola had a mimikyu, beating her would NOT Be possible, s’why I named my Mimikyu, Mimi, and it did seriously well, died second hit though
Beating her wouldn't be that challenging even with mimi You know mold breaker exists as an ability and it bypasses disguise Or you could just break it and floor mimikyu with your ghost type maybe with sinister arrow raid from decidueye
I'd like to see E4 rematches with randomized applicable Pokemon (example, Acerola can choose 6 of any decent ghost-type in the national dex), so that battles are not the same when making another run through.
Welcome to the Elite Four, home of the ever-original fat fighting type specialist, the rock type... whatever you wanna call her, the ghost type Loli Girl, and that one trainer you have no idea who the hell she is. ALOLA IS AWESOME!
+Kameron Brooks It kind of is different, because this one was all people you met on your adventure and then Kahili shows up and you're like... Who the F is this person? It's because she's the odd one out.
I'm just glad we got a flying type E4 member. Also how many E4 member did you actually get to know before arriving at the Pokemon league in past generations?
Its just fitting that the last member of the E4 that i decided to fight was Acerola , her pokemon are soo messed up and that froslass was annoying as hell. She's still Cute though
Every time i see Acerola do one of her poses i hear "tutturu~~", she's seriously adorable. I rolled her face in the mud wish Ash-Greninja tho, 5 dark pulses and a water z move against palossand.
@@weirdoticmakekrookodileimp4160 I haven't played the original gen 2 since I still had contact with my half brother. But I remember it not being great.
Manic I would've liked that better, except replace Dhelmise or something. this is a tiny bit off-topic but I think it would've been cool if someone specialized in Double Battling in the game; first you beat them in a typical single battle but can revisit as many times as you want afterwards and rematch in Double battles. the pokemon will almost never remain the same with some exceptions. they will only change out for new ones when you effectively learn to shut down the particular strategy being used. that after beating them each time, would give you good pointers (legitimately useful in online and VGC battles, for those who care about the latter), definitions of Sweepers, Stallers, etc, and give out items such Focus Sash, Leftovers, Quick Claw, and Sitrus berries; I dub these as beginner items because they are straightforward in their uses and you don't need to do anything fancy to make them work as intended. I was just thinking too that it would be cool to have Doubles as an option in the Elite 4 or Champion after defeating them the first time as well. *shrugs. well wishful thinking, anyway. they already have the characters - both important and standard trainers - using legitimate strats; hell even a wild Pinsar will Swords Dance twice and try to one shot everything if I'm not careful.
The riff starting at 0:14 reminds me so much of the Story 5 Meeting song from Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon (the remix of which was in Super Smash Bros Melee on the FE stage). Yeah that song is so ingrained in my memory by now that I couldn't help but think of it.
Why do people give Kahili so much shit for "just being there" and "not being in the main story" when 90% of the other Elite 4 members in other games are the exact same....
Because Kahili just appeared from nowhere, whereas the other three were involved in the plot at some point and everyone expected them to be the elite four members once it was revealed there would be an elite four
@@suguri2075 I feel like in this case, it's more the fact that the other three actually played an active role in the story, whereas Kahili just kind of...showed up. In previous games, it was fine, because the Elite Four and, subsequently, the Pokémon League were established long before your player character's involvement in the events of the game. It's a little more personal in Sun and Moon because, not only is the Pokémon League a very new thing (having only just been finished just as you arrive), but also because you grow and learn from Alola's E4 and they all have some part in your progress through the game; Kahili being the obvious exception. Any other region's E4 are often only known about, much less even hinted at, by other NPCs purely by virtue of their strength being a point of gossip and rarely anything more.
You know what I love about S/M Elite Four is that it gets PERSONAL these are people you have fought and won against, and here they are for a rematch and they aren’t messing around this time
Lol many people did. But it figures we'd get someone else due to his stand-off-ish and "no fucks given" personality, he could care less if he could be an E4 member. Plus, he's obviously at that age of life where you want to do absolutely nothing but live in peaceful retirement. Unfortunate for him.
Maybe. The the trailer in the demo actualy revealed her as an elite four. Before I played the game, I was like "Oh cool! So they're still going to have an elite four!" And knew that Acerola was going to be one of them. When she showed up as a trial captain instead I was confused. And even moreso when Kukui said the kahunas were going to be the E4. But it all made sense in the end because Nanu is just a lazy fuck.
Listening to this with Bose headphones and it sounds like there's like some spooky voice in the background music. If you have noise cancelling or high quality headphones you'll hear what I'm talking about. Kinda spooky.. It's at 1:14 it plays for a few seconds.

If you actually explore the hotel next to the beach I think on the second Island you'll find her father owns the place and everyone talks about her. But tbh honest I explored it post-game and was like wtf Is Kahili when I saw her in her Elie 4 room. I thought she was Burnet at first glance lol
Why don't you just buy the soundtrack? It's just $10 on iTunes!
Acerola so cute
Agreed.
I love how she dances during your battle with her.
MyLittlePwnyta
Same here.
yes
she's the literal definition of cute :D and when she danced during my battle with her, I couldn't help but smile and go awww~
The Elite Four music has always been my favorite soundtrack in the Pokémon series, with this one released, I think my number 1 favorite is a tie between the Unova one and the Alola one
Imo gen 5s elite 4 music is the best
Just saying, my jaw dropped the first time I heard this song. Absolutely incredible
One of the most intimidating elite four themes
I was just like: "Oh no, I forgot to buy some Revives"
+MudFan I forgot to buy healing items period. I barely made it out alive.
Same
I think its safe to say that Acerola is now everyone's favorite elite 4 member because she's adorable and nobody likes Kahili and her grumpy looking toucan.
i like kahili over acerola, but thats just my opinion
Timothy Grayson Each to their own no one can say otherwise.
...........I like Kahili.....
***** Well yeah, having opinions is one of the most important things in this world and everyone always wants to silence them.
Hala is the best elite 4 member because he really is a kahuna and i dislike kahili because she's here almost out of the blue (people talk about her twice in the game)
The Dark type and Ghost type specialists both use Sableye....I approve!
Triforce Metroid makes sense since they are related.
Alarak They're actually not related. In Hawaii, it's a common practice to call people your aunt/uncle as a term of endearment. Hau also starts calling the main characters mother Aunty in the post-game. It's still really cute though that they share a Pokémon.
Awkward Pikachu well I think they are unofficially family in a same way drayden and Iris are family even though they are obviously not related
Alarak Yeah that's what I mean, they're obviously really close - Family, but not by blood.
-And I find Nanu sexy, but that's irrelevant-
I actually like how hectic and over-the-place the theme is.
I love how she is dancing with the music in the battle
so adorable
This song sends shivers down my spine
That slapped extremely hard when I was 12 and still does 4 years later
Am I the only one who was surprised to see Acerola as an elite four member?
Clearly not, me three years ago.
The Great Green Banana Nah I was too. I was expecting Nanu and when I saw her I was like f$&@ my team doesn't deal with ghost too well
+XIII That my innocent organization member, is why you have a Stoutland on your team with Crunch
Woah, this is 10 times scarier than the Lavender Town theme. It won’t let me sleep and give me shivers for the next nine lives.
It bops hard though
I was purposely under leveled here and it fit so well
Joe Laviano 12 Fucking levels behind club
yyy-yay?
yep.. its totally a theme that shows u what TRUE FEAR IS
I feel like people now realize if acerola had a mimikyu, beating her would NOT Be possible, s’why I named my Mimikyu, Mimi, and it did seriously well, died second hit though
Wtf my mimikyu was named that too!
Beating her wouldn't be that challenging even with mimi
You know mold breaker exists as an ability and it bypasses disguise
Or you could just break it and floor mimikyu with your ghost type maybe with sinister arrow raid from decidueye
Imagine having to fight her with her actual mimikyu from the anime...
You mean the one that couldn't hurt a Gengar with Shadow Claw?
Glad they got rematches but i wish they could have gotten upgraded teams. I would have loved to see acerola with mimikyu on her team
Every Gen has at least one elite 4 member that you haven't seen or really heard about until you face them, this is no different.
+Kameron Brooks It kind of is different, because this one was all people you met on your adventure and then Kahili shows up and you're like... Who the F is this person? It's because she's the odd one out.
DarkMagolor She was in the Grand Hotel I believe, I remember talking to her once.. never did I think she'd be become an E4 member lol
+BlackOutCannon I thought she was there after you beat the E4.
I'm just glad we got a flying type E4 member. Also how many E4 member did you actually get to know before arriving at the Pokemon league in past generations?
I'm forever hypnotized by Acerola's adorable idle stance, best girl.
or when shes doing the z move, my new profile picture lol
Dragn0va King Acerola, the ghost type Elite Four that would never be forgotten. (Unlike that Alola wannabe from Hoenn)
Phoebe (I looked that up on Serebii, even though I played Omega Ruby)
DMD00 Oh. My. God. IKR!
Yep best girl
I FREAKING love Acerola
Its just fitting that the last member of the E4 that i decided to fight was Acerola , her pokemon are soo messed up and that froslass was annoying as hell.
She's still Cute though
Every time i see Acerola do one of her poses i hear "tutturu~~", she's seriously adorable. I rolled her face in the mud wish Ash-Greninja tho, 5 dark pulses and a water z move against palossand.
Indigo Starlight who's your first? im kinda torn between mallow and lillie .
no surprise there ...
i was just glad that she didn't have her mimikyu on her team
the last time I saw that thing, it destroyed me..
Of course i am cute, but say anything about my froslass again your dead
Acerola: OwO
Me: Awwww!
Acerola: Sweeps my team
Me: *Screams in Ultra sun*
my fav part of this theme is at 0:40 where it just builds up the tension
This is the first time i actually enjoy the elite four
Gen 5:
@@weirdoticmakekrookodileimp4160 gen 6: ;)
I liked gen 5, gen 1, and gen 4. The others are just a slog.
Dragon Tamer 447 gen 2?
@@weirdoticmakekrookodileimp4160 I haven't played the original gen 2 since I still had contact with my half brother. But I remember it not being great.
Acerola is adorable...but I can hide my unease over the fact that I think she has a cleft palate...
:3 she is kitty ghost
Now I can’t unsee that
Listening to this soundtrack makes the battle more like a fight to the death.
I love how Acerola is just standing there swaying with an innocent smile on her face as she one-shots my whole team.
I was suprised she didn't have a Mimikyu. She just reminds me of that Pokemon everytime I see her. Maybe replace that Sableye :/
Manic Mimikyu is the Totem Pokemon of her Ghost-type trial. I guess they didn't want to overlap that.
Bathroom disasterbypolnareff I suppose not
Manic I would've liked that better, except replace Dhelmise or something.
this is a tiny bit off-topic but I think it would've been cool if someone specialized in Double Battling in the game; first you beat them in a typical single battle but can revisit as many times as you want afterwards and rematch in Double battles. the pokemon will almost never remain the same with some exceptions. they will only change out for new ones when you effectively learn to shut down the particular strategy being used. that after beating them each time, would give you good pointers (legitimately useful in online and VGC battles, for those who care about the latter), definitions of Sweepers, Stallers, etc, and give out items such Focus Sash, Leftovers, Quick Claw, and Sitrus berries; I dub these as beginner items because they are straightforward in their uses and you don't need to do anything fancy to make them work as intended. I was just thinking too that it would be cool to have Doubles as an option in the Elite 4 or Champion after defeating them the first time as well.
*shrugs. well wishful thinking, anyway. they already have the characters - both important and standard trainers - using legitimate strats; hell even a wild Pinsar will Swords Dance twice and try to one shot everything if I'm not careful.
who's talking shit about ma boy sableye
Manic I was waiting for the shiny Mimikyy from the anime to come but I was disappointed
I hate you so much because I Will never be able to hear this song the same way again lmao
Best elite 4 theme. You can't change my mind.
acerola on screen the entire time = based
Olivia: The Queen
Hala: The King
Acerola: The Princess
Kahili: The “Chosen One"(?
Kahili: *The royal golfer*
Thus song is so powerful. It feels like you're battling the unknown and whatever could happen.
0:00 ok, it sounds cool so far...
0:15 HOLY SHITAKE MUSHROOM THIS IS EPIC!!!
The first challenger of a region's brand new elite four, definitely deserves this theme.
This is by far the highest quality of this track and actually does it justice.
“Welcome to the Pokemon League! Now get out."
Everyone talking about Acerola when no-one acknowledge my girl Froslass
when I first heard this I thought it was odd but compared to the other elite 4 battle themes and the time u actually battle them
it fits so well
Why do people give Kahili so much shit for "just being there" and "not being in the main story" when 90% of the other Elite 4 members in other games are the exact same....
Because Kahili just appeared from nowhere, whereas the other three were involved in the plot at some point and everyone expected them to be the elite four members once it was revealed there would be an elite four
because its gen 7 and people expect a bit more than 'just puz her in there' ffs
@BBDeathz Even though no one seemed to care when they did it the past six gens?
Cuz u actually met the other three in the story some time
In SM and USUM
I love this game’s soundtrack so much
You know what I love about S/M Elite Four is that it gets PERSONAL these are people you have fought and won against, and here they are for a rematch and they aren’t messing around this time
came back to this song after almost 5 years. I have so much good memories listening to this song and playing sun and moon.
Best "elite 4's" theme
Can you hear that sound? *That's your Elite Four kicking someone's ass back to the Pokémon Center.*
first elite 4 with more girls than guys lol
edit: so over 2k likes for stating the obvious, cool
Riygan Angerlich OMG SEXISM AND MATRIARCHY AND STUFF
DolanDominates what
The opposite of Sinnoh. One old man and 3 young ladies.
Riygan Angerlich OLD HALA IS HERE TO MAKE ALL THE LADIES HOLLER
It's changed now. The swapped the old guy for a younger one.
If someone's ace pokemon was a Roggenrola
It makes me think they would nickname it "Acerola"
Am I the only one who was surprised to see Acerola as an elite four member?
The Great Green Banana I wanted Nanu
Lol many people did. But it figures we'd get someone else due to his stand-off-ish and "no fucks given" personality, he could care less if he could be an E4 member. Plus, he's obviously at that age of life where you want to do absolutely nothing but live in peaceful retirement. Unfortunate for him.
Carlos Polk plus he's still a cop
TheForgottenCherish lol he may be considered a lazy fuck now, but if you play a certain post game event, you actually learn some of his background.
There was something cute about seeing the Pokémon League. I dunno, it was so new, and it was truly something worth waiting for.
BW/B2W2 and SM/USUM E4 theme was great
0:40 - 1:00 this part is so goooood aaaaaaaaaa
Almost two years already?
Time surely flies...
This E4 got me off-guard and i lose.
ahhhh.. the sweet sounds of the song i had to listen to OVER AND OVER AGAIN
i still stand by my statement when i say gen 5 has the best music, but god damn this songs a banger
Its missing the noise of me sweeping her team with Decidueye…
this some crazy good bop material, change my mind
I hope if and when they remake this we get the golf place as a playable area. Feel like it was cut out
Listening to this with Bose headphones and it sounds like there's like some spooky voice in the background music. If you have noise cancelling or high quality headphones you'll hear what I'm talking about. Kinda spooky..
It's at 1:14 it plays for a few seconds.
This theme really feels like it's saying "Hey, this is your last steps toward victory"
85%: Acerola
15%: Anything else
so many acerola comments
Acerola is very cute thanks for featuring her
My god this theme is frightening, especially when it hits those high notes
Even if I didn't like Kahili much, I must admit;
That is some damn nice hair.
