bought Omega ruby as the first pokemon game i ever got at game stop used after seeing my brother with his copy of alpha sapphire he got for christmas. I loved playing it and i eventually beat the game. i never deleted the save file and even though i never started the game cuz i played on the old save which was only 20 mins into the game i think, this song brings me so much nostalgia

Listening to this song is so happy, yet so fucking sad. All the memories of flying with Latios in the sky’s of Hoeen was so magical. My overpowered mega rayquaza and primal Groudon. All the great characters like Steaven Stone and the rival, and the badass (yet stupid) team magma and their leader Maxie. And my started blaziken. I remember catching all the legendary Pokémon from past games all in their cool hidden areas in hooen. This game is fucking magical, and nothing can recapture it again.

Love the original games like Emerald, Sapphire, Ruby but these had a lot of great additions to Hoen. Rip the Battle Frontier. I thought it was cool how other legends could be found through Hoopa's portals. They even put the correct music when battling legends from other regions which I thought was amazing. Too bad they shiny locked the main legends. :D
I don't remember much from playing this game yet when hearing it there's just a wave of emotions coming at me. Yet I only faintly remember me fighting with my marshtomp on my dad's phone, while on a trip to the mountain.

I played this as one of my background music during my wedding last year.

Everytime I finish a semester and come back home, Littleroot town theme hits harder than the finals.
Final sem ending in 2 months!
I remember on my 8th birthday in 2015 my parents got me a New 3ds XL. I remember playing face raiders on it on the way home. A couple days later we went back to our local Best Buy to buy a game and one caught my attention. Pokémon Omega Ruby. My only experience with Pokémon until then was occasionally seeing an episode of the B/W anime. But I saw Pokémon so I said that was the game I wanted. I remember picking Torchic as my first ever starter and I was so naive. I didn’t know you could switch Pokémon in battle so I ended up with a level 92 Blaziken. I didn’t know what running was and one day I encountered a Surskit and thought run was some kind of universal attack and I was so sad when it disappeared. I remember sitting on the carpet at my grandmas house freaking out at the Groudon cutscene especially when the bottom screen went all static and Groudon underwent primal reversion. I remember looking up all the legendary locations on the crappy laptop my dad gave me and catching them. I remember being super nervous going up to the GameStop employee to ask them for the mystery gift code for the free Mew in 2016. And then my dumb 9 year-old self filled it’s moveset with HMs when I found out it could learn all of them. All the memories on the battle island and the battle mansion and breeding and chain fishing for shinies. My favorite character and theme of the game was Wally and I would set his theme to be the battle islands theme just so I could listen to it. I remember creating my secret base and grinding levels on level 100 blissey bases. This theme just brought all those memories back. I’ve considered transferring my Pokémon from this game into SwSh or Scarlet and Violet when they come out but I think I’ll keep them in the Omega Ruby just for the memories.
If anyone has read all of this or even just skipped to the end thank you for paying attention to this text wall of my memories. Omega Ruby may not have been the best game in the series but it will forever be my favorite.

The good times... coming home after a long journey and becoming a well respected trainer... and to think that it all started from the back of a truck, moving into a new house... meeting new friends, fighting our opponents head-on... but after all that... fighting your fights... making friends... battle after battle... no matter how hard you fall... that thrill of getting back up to train harder and harder to beat them... and then you’ll make it... all that hard work pays off... you go and visit mom and it makes you feel something... nostalgia...

Of all the hometown themes I've heard in Pokemon, I think Littleroot is the most fitting. Not only does it makes the best mark in a journey's start, but this also feels like a conclusion theme. You picked up your backpack, left the house, and said farewell to Mom, all knowing that you will likely return when you become the champion. And when you did, you entered the house, said hello to Mom and Dad, and dropped your backpack at the side of the door. You head to bed and close you eyes afterward recalling your journey.

Not once in my life have I ever come upon a song that enlightens me this much. After I came back to this song so many years later, It reminds me even in the darkest of days that light still exists in this world and there is still hope in humanity. Whenever I play this soundtrack, whether I am sad, scared, nervous, angry, or even lazy, from the first note all my emotions go away and I become calm. This soundtrack motivates me never to give up and look forward to the great days ahead and that there is light in my future. I am so happy even in such a corrupt world we live in, something as simple as a video game soundtrack can have such a great impact on people. Honestly, I hope everyone who listens to this song feels the same way i do when i hear it. It is truly magical.

This is what got me into Pokémon, I was very late into series (most people my age began with Heartgold/Soulsilver, but I had no interest in Pokémon until late 2014). It was my first game and now in 2020, I own the majority of the games. Since it was my first, I had no high expectations, so I enjoyed it a lot. I hope generation six becomes more well known, since it's the most underrated generation. I'm currently replaying Diamond, (and ordering Leaf green/Colosseum soon), and i'll say this, we've gone a long way since ORAS

I started with soul silver and I honestly thought that this game came out way more recently, the fact that Pokemon games past my time can already become nostalgic really says something... @@trunghoanginh3505 Remember how you literally get a great team as gifts pokemons. I was nuzlocking X with level cap and no items in battle but you literally get froakie, charmander(with its mega stone), steelix, snorlax, Lucario(also with its mega stone) and a Lapras.

This just popped into my head randomly and I'm glad it did, omega ruby was my first pokemon game and it holds a special place in my heart sometimes I revisit the game just to stand around and listen to the nostalgia.
Damn, I know it’s just been seven years but let’s be honest, nostalgia still hits very hard. Until I was 12, I never played Pokémon, and then I started it with X and only a few weeks after release of ORAS I bought OR, I love these soundtracks. I have most of my memories in this game.

This was one of my first pokemon games that helped get me into it along with the show of course. It helped me love pokemon back then, and i still love it now. The amount of times i've restarted the game and heard the littleroot town theme just makes it more special to me. It's such a nice happy song too. It feels like you're ready for the fun adventure ahead, but your home will always welcome you back if you ever need some rest.
story time so after my parents divorced i moved in with my mum and my step dad and i found out i has a step brother and we has the same exact shiny blue 3ds and i told him and we started playing on it and my first pokemon game which i actually properly played it and then when ORAS came out i got Omega ruby becuase my brother had it and i wanted to copy him because he was my role model at night he would help me out if i got stuck in a puzzle and on my ds it was sorta broken the volume was maxed and i couldn't move it down and so we would go to the location on the map flyinh with latios and latias and sit talking about our families with the music and now it feels soo nostalgic and that was good times back in 2014-2020 hopefully i can search around the house and play you again

My Grandmother bought this for me as a Christmas gift. She was the reason I was even introduced to Nintendo and to this day I am thankful
I felt nostalgic for the original. Now i feel nostalgic for the Oras one, and now even more knowing that this game is 6 years old and the 3ds production ended
I was extremely sad when 3ds production ended. i still have my blue 3ds though

I feel warm listening to this. It makes you want to hug your family and tell them the adventures you have before going out for more. Then the cycle repeats.
i remember being a 2nd grader , i used to play this game a lot , even tho i cheated a lot but this was the only game my device could run other than mario , i have remember catching many legendaries as much as i can from YT walthrough , i had unlimited master balls haha
there were also times when i played fire red too , it was a legit run i enjoyed the game , now im 17 things are little up and down but im fine as i am supposed to be , i cant thank enough the game creators for creating such a masterpiece.
im feeling like crying but i dont know what holds me back maybe because im becoming stronger altho its okay to cry sometimes haha..
thanks again to the creators and anyone reading this , i wish you all the best for whatever the next thing is coming to you.

After watching this I dug up my old 3DS and opened Alpha Sapphire, only to find my character exactly where I left him 3 years ago. Sitting on the bed in Littleroot Town, trusty level 100 Blaziken starter and Kyogre in hand, with this all too familiar music playing in the background

As a kid I got omega ruby as my first pokemon game when it came out and this theme will forever make me emotional and wish I could experience it all over again. Without a doubt my favourite pokemon game and piece of music from the series.
I almost cried when i heard it for the first time, i played Pokemon Emerald so many times when i was a kid so hearing this after so many years far from Gen 3 it felt like i was a Child again...... it was so good to remember a time when i was happy, optimistic and hopeful...... i was linving the best time of my life and didin't notice
I remember playing pokemon ruby on my yellow gameboy advance back in 2003 when i was 10 🙂

Low key -2 but games bring people together of all ages and we can agree this was a masterpiece of a game
This reminds me of back when I was a carefree preschooler, not having to stress about the overwhelming amount of schoolwork, not having to deal with hormones that ruin everything, not having a nicotine addiction, not having depression but most importantly My family was still a family, Being a teenager is hard

Oh my, it's like i'm reading my younger self. I'm 28 and there's 2 things i hope that get to you, with your pardon: You have yet a lot to learn from life, teenager life is still nothing compared to adult life, you will face so much more difficulties later. I remember feeling like dying from stuff that made me sad and now that i go back to those memories is like, man, i should have focused on studying, it was so easy compared to college or looking for a job and i wasted a lot of time playing around. And the 2nd thing is, stop smoking right now, it will be a nightmare later on so you are still on time, it is for me, every year makes it harder to quit. If you are like me, advice won't get through and you will have to realize this things from mistakes. Oh, and family will always be family even if it's not so warm as before, it can always get better. Good luck on your journey!

Listening to this while being stressed from being an adult sure hits hard.

You wake up to the noise of your mother yelling at you.
"Your late, your late!"
"What?"
"Your late for your meeting with Professor Birch!"
"Oh! lemme get ready I'll be out in a bit."
You rush to get your clothes on, hair done, and what not. After only 3 minutes you come out of your room looking like a mess, almost exactly how you'd think you'd look, but.. as a 10 year old.
"I gotta go mom, I'll eat when I get home!"
You sprint out of the house before you can hear a reply, and on your way to Professor Birch's lab, you are pulled aside by a neighbor.
"You gotta help Professor Birch, I can hear him yelling from the forest!"
Confused you nod and follow him to the forest, but your new friend has hurt his leg so you must go on. You find Professor Birch, and he is being chased my a Poochyena.
"Help!"
"How?"
"Get a Pokemon from my bag and battle it!"
"Okay!"
You decide to pick the one on the left, and when you threw the Pokeball a green gecko, standing on two legs looking thing comes out.
"Battle it!!!"
"Okay!"
You command your little buddy to tackle the Poochyena, and it is a critical hit, but its no enough! The Poochyena strikes back, with a bite.
"Use Tackle.... uh... your green so... Greenie! Greenie use tackle!"
Almost a little disappointed with his new name, Greenie used tackle on the Poochyena, and it fainted, saving Professer Birch.
"Thanks, means a lot!"
"Its nothing, anyways, I was late so two bads equal out, right?"
"No... anyways, the meeting was all a cover up for you to get your first Pokemon, and you seemed to have chosen Treecko!"
"I have? I just picked one at random, but I named him Greenie! also, are you saying I get to keep Greenie?"
"Yes."
"Whoo-hoo!"
"Now that you got your first Pokemon, you are one step closer to completing your dream: Becoming a *champion* "
