Ahhh hello fellas. Friday has arrived. Guitar Paradiso and then a quick trip over to That Pedal Show... happiness... There's something about Mick and Pete when you get into a country blues groove you just absolutely blow my mind and I'm sat here are work grinning like a buffoon. Love Fridays... just going to rewind and watch that jam again...
I look forward every friday to see Mick and Pete doing guitar paradiso. I love the chemistry, and the amazing sounds that they can produce out of amazing guitars. I just want to thank them, and anderton's for the hard work that they put into these videos. cheers from the USA!
Also the jam at 19:18 was the best jam I have ever heard on this channel.. I seriously clung to every note. Incredible guitar playing and feeling being portrayed through those Gretsch guitars.
Guys, don't put yourselves down. You aren't Chet, but you guys did yourselves proud and it sounded great! What a great way to start my Saturday UA-cam viewing than that intro and this video!
I have now bought the G5420T in fairline blue with complete Gretsch hardcase and it arrives next week. I AM STOKED. I tested one for almost 2 hours in a big sound room at 4Sound through a Fender Deluxe reissue tweed and man, i was just gone. Off to a complely different planet. I want to thank Andertons for your brilliant presenters who really set me on the right path to a hole new sound, both on a professional level and as a human. Sound defines us in this life. Thank you guys!
I love my Gretsch Electromatic! So classy... sounds great too. The tone on these guitars can go from a Strat or Tele twang to a creamy Les Paul-ish wail. They also work really well with high gain sounds and spacey effects.
I know it has been two years since you guys did this but I'm just listening to it today, and it is such a great pleasure to hear you guys play these guitars.
As usual give these two a quality instrument each, sit back and listen to the magic! Mick is such a good player and a perfect match to Pete's technical abilities. Can't get enough of these two which begs the question - WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE AN ALBUM WE CAN BUY???
I picked up a Fairlane Blue one not long after they came out...I call it the Blue Meanie. loved it then, and I still love it now! I've also gigged it in hot and cold weather without issue. they really are fantastic guitars. :)
that outro was just so good!! a total inspired jam.. gentleman, something is needed and it's called the Mick and Pete album! seriously, I'm even considering a Gretch... your job is secure because if you can convince ME to even pick up a Gretch that is practically sacrilege in my house! Fender,Musicman, Fender ,Musicman! sorry for the rant..
Brilliant playing from you both....the video was so good I bought Pete's model in white with gold hardware..so versatile it's untrue and really pleased.....thanks guys.
Wow Mick actually played the "feedback" at around 15:56 to 16:12 . Now he's really ok in my book for sure, as I do that. It takes talent to tame the feedback beast! But the results are always original and good.
Yay my two favorite presenters :). I also love the fact that Mick knows a lot about gear and Peter, du spiller fandeme godt :) That pedal show is my second favorite show
Good demo and discussion. I tried a bunch of Electromatics, and I thought they were okay, but not amazing. I eventually found an older 6120 and now it's my favourite guitar, despite the lack of locking tuners, a floating bridge and a non-Graph-Tec nut. It also lacks the treble bleed circuit.
Phillip Harris Had one calling to me from its wall hanger today, very tempted to try it and risk spending money I don't really have. Think it's a matter of time & saving, though.
I had one that I kept going back to play for months and it was eight hundred. it dropped to six fifty and I picked it up immediately. timing is super key.
Wait...you went to NAMM, and you slept in what? Finish the story! lol....love these type of guitars, love the sound, but just can't get very comfortable with that style of playing. It's great to see you guys show your versatility, and every guitarist ought to listen to Chet Atkins. Love to see the new D'Angelicos, and love to listen to you guys talk and play. Cheers and happy Friday from America!
The red G5422TG(Which I plan buying being a blues/country player) looks amazing. From far away the pickguard looks beige but up close it's actually almost a cream white
Amazing playing as always! No offense to Danish Pete, but I'd love to see how Mick and Paul would do together some week! I don't care who does GP it's always awesome!
My next guitar is either hollow or center block. Hollow I think since I could stuff it until I learn how to reliably control the feedback, which I love.
Ah, yess! The Ford Fairlane Hardtop Convertible. My aunt had one that she bought new in 1958. The way it worked was, you would press a button on the dashboard, the top of the boot would flip open backward, the top did a back-flip into the boot and the boot cover would fall over it. Press the button again and the process would reverse.
"Take 2 days to tune instead of 1". ;-) A mate once bought a Yamaha Pacifica 12 string. All was fine until his first string change. After a week he gave up trying to tune it and used it as a 6 string thereafter...
When you see Mick, Pete, hawaiian shirts and a couple of Gretsches you know you're in for a treat
Pete is so cool that he can make us laugh with his guitar playing ! I like this two guys so much !
+Chuck Norris Chuck!! Is that really you?? Please say yes ;)
uuuuugh these jams are always so amazing
+XuQifei Unlike ones in Chappers and the Captain, where Rob just plays the same licks with the same settings every episode.
God that blue is just stunning... so so so so so beautiful!

Mick and Pete are the reason I watch Andertons videos.
that feedback at 20:43 was incredible their faces were a picture, these two just jamming is so good i love it
Adam Purcell i totally agree!
It's 5:00 am in Chicago and this is such a beautiful late night or early morning treat haha
mick is such an underrated guitarist!
I rate him very high:-)
Mick and Pete again knock it out of the park. That blue is lovely.

The resonance of these guitars is just heavenly.
I've been watching andertons for a long time. Seriously. These are the best series of videos. Ever. Period.
Guys, don't put yourselves down. You aren't Chet, but you guys did yourselves proud and it sounded great! What a great way to start my Saturday UA-cam viewing than that intro and this video!

Mick and Pete, you're like an old friend I forgot but love to see again. beautiful playing :)
I love my Gretsch Electromatic! So classy... sounds great too. The tone on these guitars can go from a Strat or Tele twang to a creamy Les Paul-ish wail. They also work really well with high gain sounds and spacey effects.
Completely agree. I am a strat man and just added the 5420T to my collection. It has inspired me to finally get my hybrid finger picking perfected.
Your explanation is so far the best on how gretsch sounds. I always hear that they got that twang of strat or tele when driven a bit
I have an orange G5420T and I LOVE how easy it is to get feedback on that monster!
Watching you two, it looks like you are just loving what you're doing... it's kind of infectious!
I keep watching these damn videos over and over again.... so fun.
These guys are just killing it with playing...amazing...
Aaaah - another reason that Friday is the best day of the week. Fantastic (and very musical) playing and a very useful overview of the guitars too.
Man I love these videos. Every time I watch one of these, It gets me so stoked to jam.
You sold me on the 5422TG. Mine arrived in Saudi Arabia this week from Sweetwater. It is a thing of beauty.
Favourite intro yet
That outro jam was insane!!! Probably one of, if not the best jams Pete and Mick have done and that's saying something
It is ridiculous how good these two are.
Thanks for bringing Mick back guys!!!
+JJ Botes He never left ;)
That Outro jam!! Damn that was some seriously good tones going on there!! Bravo guys!!
seriously in love with these!! You got yourself a sale for this video andertons :)
As Lawrence Welk used to say “ Wonderful, Wonderful,Wonderful “. That was so GREAT!🤠
This blue is beautiful !!!
I have one of those G5420Ts in Fairlane Blue. Beautiful looking, playing, and sounding guitar.
Another great episode guys. Great chemistry and fantastic playing!
A number of really cool sounds in this episode. Amazing playing guys and fantastic humour and fun.
I picked up a Fairlane Blue one not long after they came out...I call it the Blue Meanie. loved it then, and I still love it now!
I've also gigged it in hot and cold weather without issue. they really are fantastic guitars. :)
I just put my 1st down payment on a Gretsch and after seeing this I have to have the 12 string!!!! Thanks guys!!!!
that outro was just so good!! a total inspired jam.. gentleman, something is needed and it's called the Mick and Pete album! seriously, I'm even considering a Gretch... your job is secure because if you can convince ME to even pick up a Gretch that is practically sacrilege in my house! Fender,Musicman, Fender ,Musicman! sorry for the rant..
That last jam was butter!
Brilliant playing from you both....the video was so good I bought Pete's model in white with gold hardware..so versatile it's untrue and really pleased.....thanks guys.
what a great acoustic-y sound
It's good to note that even the pros have a hard time getting new guitars past the significant other!
Mickymillersson it’s got be a woman thing !
Yet she has to have a new box of shoes every week of the month. I don’t know why.
That opening jam guys, class!!
That beginning jam session between those two dudes sounded very early Country/Chet Atkins to be honest, that was awesome
Wow Mick actually played the "feedback" at around 15:56 to 16:12 . Now he's really ok in my book for sure, as I do that. It takes talent to tame the feedback beast! But the results are always original and good.
Brilliant playing by Mick and Pete, especially Mick in this video.
I wish there was an Electromatic version of the Tennessean (aka Tennessee Rose).
Mick & Pete in Chet & Jerry mode - always, always fun.
best intro for a Friday 👌
Great demo love the white one :-) great playing from guys loved every second of it
wow! Mick & Pete so versatile!
Love the opening jam. Sweet!
TGIF :) just love your tones guys ... and really great guitars from Gretsch
They are so great! Oh, guitars are too!
Mick & Pete are the best: great guitarists, funny. Guitar Paradiso is my Heaven!
Some lovely playing there guys 👍
Mick and Pete Jams are the best Jams! :)
That blue guitar is beautiful, I must make it mine!
Mick has a really good feel for country playing, man.
Wow, that 12 string sounds beautiful!!!
Yea great sounding guitars! But more importantly omfg you smashed that video! That was great fun to watch :-D
Let's buy Pete a blue Electromatic for his birthday!
Or you can buy me one. Any color.
Best guitar playing for Mick ever...gonna get me one too.
We need a Sounds Like Soundgarden already!!
I was seriously going to post that!
Gorgeous outro jam guys! Love that Fairlane blue!
I just buy that white G5422TDCG today . It’s amazing . But I cannot make it sound that great like you guys . You play awesome
Excellent jams!
The jam at 19:20 was truly something special
Mike Thornley I second
I would love to see y'all just have a jam session with your favorite guitars amps and fx
Yay my two favorite presenters :). I also love the fact that Mick knows a lot about gear and Peter, du spiller fandeme godt :)
That pedal show is my second favorite show
I was waiting for Mick to continue playing "Suite Madame Blue". Loving the clean tones on that GHIWJHOVJNISH1232434TG... that white double cutaway...
I really do fancy a G5420T in Orange. Lovely looking guitar, and who doesn't want to try the Gretsch's sound?
I highly suggest. I have no bias on that whatsoever...(I bought one in April)
Phillip Harris Same. Just last month I got one for 650.
Took the plunge last week, not regretting it in the slightest.
Superb guitars
MICK IS SO AWSOME!!!
Ahaha, love Mick's 12-string jazz action. Out-Peteing Pete.
That is some tasty feedback about 20:30
I know right
Also at around 28:45
This video made me buy a black g5422t. Thanks fam
The best reviews on the planet - along with Greg Koch!
Big YES on the secured bridge! I saw CW Stoneking's bridge fall off in the middle of a song lol
The red G5422TG(Which I plan buying being a blues/country player) looks amazing. From far away the pickguard looks beige but up close it's actually almost a cream white
you guys should put together a "best of outro jams" collection, i would buy it...
Quality stuff guys, thanks
This guys is better guitar review than Rob & Chapper, specially intro playing✌🏼️
Yeah! That is nice. Thankyou.
Yo. Fender Mustang Offset series. Pronto!
Amazing playing as always! No offense to Danish Pete, but I'd love to see how Mick and Paul would do together some week! I don't care who does GP it's always awesome!
tastefull jamming, like this feel very much
Dunno if it has been mentioned before but would love for these two to do an album together!
So good Mick bought one 😁
My next guitar is either hollow or center block. Hollow I think since I could stuff it until I learn how to reliably control the feedback, which I love.
My God these guys are good
that was awesome, Gretsch owes you both a free guitar for the demo ! stupid if they dont !
There's nowt like a little chicken picking to start the day off. Indeed Pete, the Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner.
"That looks new...", said the wife (said Pete). Now I understand the whole point behind giving a brand new guitar the relic treatment.
The white one is a beauty!
It was the Skyliner, not the Fairlane.
"Take 2 days to tune instead of 1". ;-)
A mate once bought a Yamaha Pacifica 12 string. All was fine until his first string change. After a week he gave up trying to tune it and used it as a 6 string thereafter...
That was also inadvertedly a "Sound like Chris Isaak" there :D
lol a cleaned up gretsch and a fender amp with some reverb is really all you need for that awesome sound.
