Enjoyed Xalapa very much and the academic, art atmosphere was great. I do encourage, and it’s my opinion, to not air bnb only because it’s turned neighborhoods upside down. I do hotel rooms, it could be about the same or cheaper if you plan well and sometimes I’m okay with paying extra. It’s the principle.
I lived in Xalapa for several years and it's a wonderful city! I'm glad you guys thought so too and created such a great, informative video about it! The only thing you forgot to mention is that somehow everything is always uphill in Xalapa hahaha
I’m in Xalapa now visiting my son who plays pro basketball for the Halcones. The people are so nice here. The weather is great. There are nice malls and restaurants. Downside is the hills will kill you 😂😂😂. I will be back soon. I wish they had a direct flight rather than going into Veracruz.
Great you made it to Xalapa, I just returned from a 9 city 2 month tour of central Mexico. I started with a flight from TJ to Zacatecas. I will be starting the second half of my tour the end of November. I will be flying from TJ to Veracruz, Xalapa has been on my list from the start. that museum was just one of the coolest we've been to ever! Even better than the Louvre in Paris in my opinion, but I enjoy archeology more than paintings so I'm biased
You two are adorable! I am an American that lived in Xalapa for 8 years. I love that city. The whole area around xalapa too. All the small towns and hidden places that only the locals know. In the cool mountains and valleys. One of my fave restaurants is a fish taco place way up on the side of a mountain. They funnel water from the mountain stream into tanks where they grow trout in clear, clean always moving water. Your fish is the freshest fish you will ever eat. A few bottles of indio and it was heaven on earth. Tables right next to the stream in the woods on the mountainside. I miss it so much. I had to leave a couple years ago. Thank you for this vid. Very well done. Subbed on the first vid.
