Hi, I've just read your comment & can only hope your being cared for & are managing to feel comfortable. From beautiful North Wales I send you an old boys best wishes & positive vibes. Take care, keep cosy & who knows? Bye.
I'm so sorry to hear about what you're going through, but I'm really glad that the stories help you find some comfort and relaxation. It’s amazing how stories from the past can offer a bit of peace when life feels tough. How do you feel about using these stories to reflect on strength or resilience? Do any of them remind you of a time or person who inspired you to keep going?
The dog stories warmed my heart. Back in 2019 I worked as a flight nurse in Kayenta, AZ on the Navajo Nation. We responded to a horrible car accident in Monument Valley. It was very sad. Bystanders were trying to catch a black Dog named Obi, who ran away. His owner was transported by ground, 40 miles away to a small IHS hospital. A week later Obi showed up at a junkyard by the hospital, where is owners car was located. That amazing pup traveled through the unforgiving Arizona desert for 40 miles to track his owners. Owner and dog were eventually reunited! It was a heartwarming ending to a terrible accident. Yall can google it!
the distance isn't so impressive imo; dogs cover crazy amount of ground but wow, that's some nose! I'm so glad they were reunited. I was afraid the owners died

I know! And I don’t understand why some people think it’s a compliment to tell him that his hard work puts them to sleep! I find his videos really interesting.
It is not an insult to tell someone their work helps you to relax and go to sleep...it is basically like a bedtime story and his voice is soothing. All he cares about is that people ENJOY his work, no matter if they sit on the edges of their seats or use it for relaxing at bedtime.
Sometimes I tune out if I’m working on a project while listening because his voice is such a lovely background hum that isn’t overly distracting. But that just means I get to rewind several minutes back and re-listen to the part I tuned out on. I’m pretty sure that when I listen to some parts multiple times, it just increases his watch time by that little bit, lol.

It's so true that life often doesn't give us a second chance, and yet sometimes we do get a rare opportunity to make things right. I think it's easy to get caught up in fear of failure or regret, but the idea of taking a chance can be so freeing. What do you think holds us back the most from seizing those moments when they do come around? Does it take something extraordinary to push us into action, or is it more about the small steps we choose each day?

Dear Mr. Brodie as I ready for bed, I tune into your weekly video to hear your wonderful stories. Your excellent Scots brogue takes me back to my 16th century 18th Grandfather, John Morrison of Lewis Island off the West coast of Scotland. Through you I can imagine what he looked and sounded like! He must have prospered in whatever business he had because at one time he owned Dairsie Castle and lost it to hs creditors. Thank you for bringing me so much pleasure in my old age. I will be 87 years young next November.
The segment about the dogs illustrates well that we do not deserve them. One was murdered by a human, another one abused, third lost and obviously not looked for.
1st is pure Victorian fiction, that us Welsh well know was imagined to bring in tourist £££s. Always look forward to your shows 🇨🇦❤️
I did an ancestry test and traced my roots back to the Mayflower and the Salem trials. One family member was a signatory to the mayflower… I was blown away by my history.
More please. Thank you for all the videos. I enjoy them very much. These compilations are fantastic, too. I enjoy them with some good cognac or therapeutic herbs. 😊
You are just brilliant -I always look forward to every video!! Thank you for your work
I really enjoy your programs, I try to remember to "thumbs up" on each one. Your comment at the end mentioning more stories about WWII would be fantastic.
I live in Buckinghamshire so its always great to hear stories from my neck of the woods or nearby 😊
I feel really sorry for Jeffery Pike, totally understand why he self deleted. Thanks for another interesting video, love your accent ❤
Yesss my favourite moment of the day❤ compilations of your videos is even better😮
His voice has a quality to it like Bob Ross. So it is soothing even while speaking of the people and disasters as he does. Always informative and it really does make me say well I never. Top Shelf!
I was totally absorbed in your tales but my favorite was at the end with the dogs…Nice touch! Thank you🌹
Thank you for these fascinating and wonderful stories of our history.
Pauls voice is perfect for calming my mind when anxiety hits in the middle of the night 😂❤
I appreciate your display of humanity while telling a particularly gruesome & vivid recount of Mr. Catch. After Working For years as a coroner I can relate.
I always enjoy ur videos I'm from Reading but live in Hammersmith now but the amount of local history uv thought me is more than any school teacher ever did extremely well done x
Thank you for supplication of something to listen to into my slumber.
Good evening, Paul. I'm more of a cat person, but absolutely loved your "Tales About Tails" segment. Heartwarming and always lovely to hear good news for a change, instead of the typical doom and gloom that is the present state of our planet. Occasionally, I see a heroic kitty or bird story(those are fun as well 😺). Thx for another video and keep up the good work, Paul!
Sarah
Thank you so much.
I love history so it's interesting happy to find this channel
I live in Abington northampton it's so strange to think that the park I take my children to play in was once a place of such horrors thank you for such wonderful historical story telling
There is nothing more sad than a dog who outlines his human. They almost never see humans die poor.things. when they do I think they just don't know what to make of it.
It's like having Mimir tell me a bunch of stories from history. I love it.
I enjoy the variety of historical stories you share. I find them all very interesting. War and inventions are a special interest of mine.
Love your narrative, great story teller 😊
So many compelling stories! I love the moment when the one story was so gruesome that the fourth wall was broken. I’ve never seen it and I’ve listened to a lot of these stories from this gentleman.
