Your video was very helpful. On our extended cruise vacation in September, we’re thinking of a day trip to Florence from Rome by train. You provided us many useable tips. Thank you.
Is there anyway to get from the airport in Rome to Florence on a high speed train, without stopping at the Termini station? Or that is the only way you can grab a high speed train? Are they only available at the Termini station? What I would love to do is just go from the plane to a train and get off in SMN station, without transferring . So is my only option to do this is taking the slower train from the airport?
Thank you ! So it would be best to wait and buy the ticket upon arrival. And if we can not make this one and only train, the only other way would be to take the Leonardo Express to Termini and buy a high speed ticket there, correct?
Hi guys! Very useful info. Question: Planning a May 2025 trip to Italy. We are arriving at FCO 9:10am and planning to take train from Roma Termini to Firenze Santa Novella. When should I schedule departure from Roma Termini? (factoring in FCO customs/baggage claim; train into Roma; etc? 12:00? 13:00? 14:00? Thanks!
Hello there, to be on the safe side it would be better to book the 14:00 train, just because it might be a bit busy in Rome due to the Jubilee. If you book a fare that can be changed you can always change it once at Termini
whoa! it's too long i'm away from florence, couldn't even recognize the train station :P jokes apart: when i'm able to take a train i usually prefer a regular regional train mainly because i really enjoy the travel per se
Hi, you mentioned buying tickets in advance for the high speed but what if I am unsure about the time I want to travel? It could be late afternoon, or morning?
Unfortunately it is not possible because trains change directions several times during a journey and the front of the train becomes the back and vice versa
Hello your chanel is very helpful, thank you so much. My husband and I are traveling next month to Italy. We will be taking the train a lot. We’re also bringing 2 big luggages the check in size. My question is, is it safe to leave the luggages by the cabinet where there’s multiple other luggages? Also will it fit if we put it in between the seats that you showed because your video shows like it was a small carry on luggage.
Hello! I'd just like to ask if I buy tickets in the train station, would it be significantly more expensive? Want to be more flexible when it comes to the train tickets, so I wanted to know if buying from the station a few days before would be okay. Thank you!
It depends on the type of train. If you are going to buy a high speed train the closer to departure the more expensive becomes either at the station or on line. Regular trains are the same price all the time so it doesn’t matter
