    I just adore you! I have no tv, no social media, no nasty medical appointments, my BP is 105/65 and pulse 70 at 48. Most people are addicted to Misery and they love their company 🤣

    She is spot on about the news, my life is so much nicer now I don’t watch or read the ‘news’.

    Katherine, thank you so much for reaching out. We just entered the third trimester. We bought your audio book and have gotten through most of it and even my husband is more on board. You appealed to his logical mind. I’m getting more excited about welcoming baby girl and I feel at peace at her entrance.

    Thanks for these videos! I had one very painful hospital birth, and I have very different plans for my second child. I want to welcome my daughter in the water at a birth centre, using midwives, and hypnobirthing techniques. This is something I have my heart set on, as I feel it is very important for my baby and I to be relaxed. I want to embrace birth as a beautiful and natural experience. I remind myself every day, that my body is meant to do these things!

    Interesting how i came across this video because I pushed away a few ppl because they are negative influence.
    Recently I feel that my hormones are changing more drastically now that I'm about due in 2 weeks and I can feel how sadness wants to invade my mind. I tell myself I have no reason to feel sad and these negative feelings should go away.
    I do breathing exercises every morning to calm my mind and relax my body. I find it very pleasant and I hope all this helps on the big day. (I'm not in any hypno birthing class but I hope that what I do helps)

    Great video and advice. Thank you. I am expecting my first baby in September and will be attempting a drug-free home birth. All best wishes to you.

      It went Amazing. I had a healthy, beautiful girl 20 september 2016 at home and drug free. I woke up at around 6am with contrations and had a bad case of diarea (sorry if tmi), but it was just my body cleansing and preparing for birth. She was born at 9.38am. So it was fast. I got pregnant again 3 months later and welcomed a healthy and beautiful son 1 October 2017. He was also born at home and was 100% drug free. I started to feel the contractuons at around 10.30am and had the whole drill again with diareia. It was so relaxed. I was just reading a book and when the waves came, I'd get on all four and do breathing excercises. I felt so empowered. The midwife came at around 12.05 pm and my son was born 12.18. I spent just 3 minutes pushing. It was fast.
      Mindset is key. I felt so empowered and priveliged to be able to give birth. I listened and was open to the wisdom of my body.
      Sucess to all expecting parents.

    I’m a doula. Please could you advise me on how to support an abuse survivor who is suffering with flashbacks during their pregnancy?

    • @katharinegraves624
      @katharinegraves624 4 роки тому +1

      Be very careful of language. In particular the word ‘relax’ can trigger flashbacks as she may have been told to relax at the time.
      A KGHypnobirthing course will help to lay past trauma such as abuse or a previous traumatic birth to rest. If she can’t get to a face-to-face course the full course is available online.
      Why don’t you train as a teacher and then it is fantastic support you can offer to your doula clients.

      Katharine Graves That’s exactly what I’m planning (but I need to save up a bit first)!
