  • In today's video, I share my hypnobirthing story as well as some very powerful hypnobirthing techniques to manage labour and contraction pain, and tips to tackle any anxiety or fear you may have regarding labour. Hypnobirthing is a fantastic technique that combines relaxation, positive affirmations, breathing exercises and visualisation to help you remain calm throughout your labour and have the best possible experience while bringing your baby into the world! It has been incredibly helpful for me. I was able to enjoy a natural birth and unmedicated birth, without needing an epidural. I hope these tips will help you too so that you can enter motherhood as smoothly as possible.

Praise be to God, we Muslims draw reassurance from performing the prayer imposed on us by our Most Merciful, Wise Lord, in addition to the fact that its movements (prostration and kneeling) are among the important movements for childbirth.
Likewise, patience in the face of pain and difficulties in anticipation of the eternal reward of the afterlife, and in obedience to God, without dissatisfaction with His destiny, expiates the sins of everyone who is patient.
If I am a Muslim mother, I remind myself during childbirth that God will finally bless me with someone who will be my support and I will be his support, helping each other to do what the Creator created us for. And I gain the reward for raising him and those after him, an ongoing charity and mountains of good deeds that will never end on the Day of Judgment.

I think it is a myth that contractions always increase in strength. Sometimes they start very strong and with no pause. What you experienced though is a precipitous birth if is was less then 3h from the start of the first contraction until the baby was born. It can happen with a second baby because the body has done it before. It surely is easier to manage a labour and delivery of 3h then one of 12h or more, like it is usually for primiparas.
